You are funny kid. Did you hear anything about traffic lights on the roof?
(I have just realised that I had a bad translation,'traffic lights' is the word)

At Christmas Dawn Mass this morning I noticed four ladies sitting right at the front of the Church, the oldest lady being in a wheelchair. I couldn't help keeping glancing over as the lady in the chair had the most beautiful beaming smile. Also members of the congregation kept coming over to say , 'Hi' and chat. But there was soemthing about them I couldn't quite put my finger on...

Then it finally clicked they were great grandmother, grandmother, mother and daughter.

How beautiful and all of them with the same wonderful , magical smile.:)

Merry Christmas to everyone from Wanganui New Zealand near Jerusalem a tiny settlement on the banks of the Wanganui River. Our soon to be first Saint Suzanne Aubert who was the subject of prophesies of St John Vianney settled here in 1885 and set up a dispensary with medicines made from local plants and her own remedies which included cannabis. I wonder if this added to their merriment:)

She is the Patron Saint of Tokers.;)

Wonderful woman. She thought the weed would cure anything from warts to cancer and she was probably right.:D Anyway she's a saint so who would argue?;)

  10. Hi Pinecone Jill! Its nice to meet you! I feel close to you because I am from Olympia and travel to and from Billings, Montana. Nice to know you are inbetween! ;)

  11. Hi MS7, we used to live near Billings. My husband was carpenter for the NPS down at Fort Smith and then at the Bighorn Battlefield. We lived in Hardin and used to go to Billings all the time--my step-son liked it so much he stayed behind when we moved to the Oregon Caves. We're out of the NPS now--tired of moving (sometimes I wake up and can't remember where I am). It's nice here in Spokane and I'm sure once we settle in it'll be good, but we loved our little St Joseph's parish in Hardin so much with Fr Fabian and then Fr. Ponessa and all the ladies from the catholic daughters. It was more home to me than anywhere else I've ever lived. I miss them all the time. Sigh.
Anyway, maybe we can go get some coffee next time you roll through? That would be fun.
Merry Christmas and God's blessings upon you,
    pcj

  12. I know what you mean by moving a lot...I've been there , done that! Do you know if the parish of st. Josephs needs a Divine Mercy image? A nice large one, like 2.5 x 3.5ft. ?
Coffee sounds good! I'll let you know when I am coming through!! ;)

  13. Hmmm I dont know if St Joe's has one, cant remember. If they dont, the mission up at Custer might. Fr Ponessa is priest for both 665-1432.
    Looking forward to coffee!
Wow it's late, Good night MS7! (or good morning)

Reindeers, dogs, cats, snow, trees… My mother in law has 33 Christmas cards hanging on the wall of her living room, but only two of them are related to the nativity of Jesus. This one below could be the one sent by a really weird friend but, actually, is not, that's from our Holy Father. It’s just another one of those things that you either like it or not, and I don’t.
