FS Fair questions. I had some of the same questions before being confirmed into the Church in 1994. One of the great joys of being Catholic for me is I can rely on the Church when I have questions. JP2 called them "our elder brothers in the faith". The second person of the Holy Trinity took flesh from the womb of a young daughter of Israel and became man. But as the Apostle says, For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, enriching all who call upon him.For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Rom 10:12-13)

Thank you Muzhik for your educated perspective on the article I quoted about the destruction of temple mount. It seems the storm clouds really are gathering. Firstly I hope you are not accusing me of being a liar or a nazi. Secondly you may be a history scholar but you cannot deny the takeover of Jerusalem that has been engineered by the Israelis or the subjugation and displacement of the Palestinian people. Sure Hamas can be described as a terrorist organisation. It can also be seen as a group of freedom fighters. History shows that these terms are often interchangeable depending on who is victor and who is vanquished. Northern Ireland is a classic example of this. In the British - Jewish conflict after WWII the Jews themselves were regarded as terrorists and only gained popular support by exploiting the holocaust. And now look at the lie that Netanyahu has just tried to perpetrate in accusing the chief mufti of Jerusalem of instigating the holocaust. According to The Guardian report October 22 this type of lie forms a pattern of his behaviour. Even those Jewish state historians responsible for the historical records of the holocaust say this is pure fabrication and a survivor of the holicaust condemns the lie outright. His lie, of course, undermines the credibility of those good Jews who wish to keep the record straight. In Netanyahu the perfidious Jew is alive, but not well. And why would Netanyahu tell such a lie while the fears of Isreali plans to destroy the mosque are so heightened? To my way of thinking it is a preview of the type of Jewish justification that will be made for totally disenfranchising the Palestinians in Jerusalem. They have been excluded from so much but to exclude them from their most sacred site would be a true mark of conquest, the final solution for the elimination of the old enemy and the resettlement of Jerusalem. No gesture could be more significant or far reaching. To restore the Jewish temple is to restore the Jewish people. Such ambition however endangers not only peace in the middle east but peace in the world. No building is worth such terrible suffering and loss of life that will ensue and any belief system that demands such sacrifice of innocent life is hellish in its origin. Just as surely as the Nazi Holocaust was hellish in its origin. No mufti was responsible for this, but only Adolph Hitler, the spawn of Satan who was a liar and a murderer from the start. This latest developement could be one more of those signs after signs that are pointing to the start of tribulation for the world. While the Warning and conditional Chastisement will be purely supernatural in origin and execution, the Tribulation will be man made. For the signs to be recognized the terminology must be clear and in this way credibility for the origin of events will be properly accorded.
Aloysius, There may be some truth to those accusations against the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and his encouraging of the Nazis to foment the Holocaust. I say this because it is mentioned in some detail by the Jewish historian, Rabbi David G. Dalin in his stout defense of Pius XIIth in his book "The Myth Of Hitler's Pope". Dalin seems very honourable and orthodox and supports his arguments with extensive references and I would be hesitant to dismiss him. Regardless of where that particular truth lies, I would say that you are perfectly correct in suspecting Netanyahu. Either way, his motives are almost certainly cynical with the intention to use these accusations for his own nefarious ends. That mufti is long dead and it is unjust for any man to visit the sins of the father upon the sons. The effect will be to further ratchet up tensions and, as you infer, provide a subterfuge for illicit actions against Palestinians.
Hi De Gaulle I have just read the CNN article of today which informs us that when Germany invaded Russia in 1941 by the end of that year wholesale slaughter of Jews had caused at least one million deaths. This is perhaps a foretaste of the type of slaughter that will happen to the rest of us in the Tribulation. Perhaps worse. Interestingly it states that in 1941 there was no discussion by Germany of settling the Jews in Palestine but only other places that proved too difficult. On the other hand it states that it was Britain who was strictly restricting Jewish emmigration to the homeland. If Britain had lifted these restrictions and the rest of the world had done more to help in the rescue just think how many millions could have been spared the holocaust. It brings to mind 100 years before when Britain would not lift the laws that protected high prices for corn. This resulted in the famine that killed one million Irish and forced the emmigration of a further two million. Right now there are just over six million Jews living in Israel.
Peoples can be slaughtered for the most banal of reasons. In both cases that you mention, Britain carries a great degree of guilt. Still, it was a passive wickedness rather than the positive evil that motivated the Nazis and it is this active evil that I suspect may be the prime motivation in the forthcoming Tribulation. Original Sin is an awful thing.
Yes De Gaulle, Original Sin is indeed a dreadful thing. The young seers in Garabandal were actually shown its effect on the soul of an unbaptised infant. They were shocked.

Im curious to others thoughts on Pope Francis sending out Missionaries of Mercy the first week of lent....this coming Febuary. Padre Pio will be brought to Vatican as well. The year of Mercy starts the 2nd week of the New Liturical year. In lite of Charlies prophesy im wondering if some warning/event takes place by Febuary to grab the worlds attention? Any thoughts?
I had another tidal wave dream right before I woke up today. I was holding a child I didn't know. I said....we will walk toward the base and hold our breath as long as we can....(we were swimming and it came upon us suddenly). We held our breath and broke through the other side....when we looked back, everything was ....gone. I don't know who the baby was. When I awoke, I was given in prayer, that it was the child Jesus given to me as a gift by Our Lady. She will be there to rescue me....she is always there to rescue me regardless of whether I like the final outcome or not for it is the Divine Will and not mine. Wow
This has puzzled me as well. What are these missionaries of mercy? Are they supposed to be able to absolve any sin even those reserved to the Pope? Why not just give these faculties to all priests like the Pope did with abortion? It seems strange to me.
It could be to make the event special, maybe there is a special ritual by Pope to entrust grace of forgiveness or they want to make us sinners work by going to special priest. All speculation
I agree Pijon, I had not even heard of a storm until this a.m. And it is making landfall today. Two weeks ago on the east coast with hurricane and flooding, now to the south carving a path through Mexico, the worst hurricane in history. And bringing in severe flooding to parts of Texas and Louisiana. And a small earthquake in California this a.m.
We all need to pray for Mexico. This storm is a Category 5 Huricane 200 mile an hour winds.... Lord Jesus, Mercy!
