I really do agree with what you say here Charlie . Especially ''Also, I have found that authentic prophecies often are not so we know a sequence with certainty, but that we contemplate it with greater depth and rigor.''
If prophecy were simple to understand their wouldnt be much chance of ''...insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. ''

I will give your question some thought and post my opinion on the sequence of events sometime this weekend.

I remembered one of the best moments for my Dwarf character was when Aslan chose his image to destroy evil.

Sometimes the sense of prophesy is made when we act on it in faith. We don't always have to wait for fulfillment to see the sense of it. Acting on it can help us see the sense of it now. When the prophesy does come to pass we are fully confirmed in the rectitude of that faith. Just my thoughts, my experience with Garabandal. I am a one horse man and this is the one for me.

Even approved prophecy is open to interpretation.

Heaven speaks a different language from us mortals.

Good thing the people of Nineveh didn't wait for official approval to listen to Jonah.

Or that the hundred thousand people who went to see the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima did not wait for official approval , otherwise they would have seen nothing.

Or for that matter its lucky Our Lady of Fatima did not wait for official approval before the miracle began.

The wind blows where it will; so too does the Holy Spirit. Try locking it in a box and it will jump right out and bite you on the ass.

    John 3:6-8
6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

And thank God for the people at Lourdes and Fatima who believed. And thank God for the people who believed in our Lord Jesus Christ when he was on earth.

I wish all prophecy could name specific dates as did Fatima and LTTW. Fatima had over 70,000 doubters who became believers in an instant. Likewise LTTW had thousands of believers who becomes doubters in an instant. Either way, naming dates is one sure way of validating or discrediting messages. How many times the Jehovah Witnesses have had to change their name because of wrongly predicting dates....more than a couple times! Its a risky business.

Yeah. No doubt if I was there I would have held out.;).

But the people of Nineveh did know Jonah was a prophet . Didnt they?

    Well I dont want that.
I better keep my opinion to myself.
Maybe after the Synod some older prophecy will be more clear. And the words of the saints will be needed.

But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men.

  13. I thank God for those people who bug the Church enough to FORCE the cause of the saints to go forward. Granted, usually the towns people , admirers etc. have the fervor to push the cause, but as time goes by, fervor sometimes dies out--as war comes, generations die etc. I look at all the Blesseds who were never raised to canonization status. WHY?? Because the cause has died out. Because of the loss of faith in an area of the world, Because of so many things. Blessed Margaret of Castello, Blessed Anna Maria Taigi. HUGE women of their time. Its NOT like people don't pray to them. I've spent my whole adult Life praying to them and named two daughters after them!! Why is this so slow at the Vatican level?

We have modern prophets. Why are the older ones left behind? Just a thought.

The Venerable Mary of Agreda is a good example of this.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_of_Jesus_of_Ágreda

Among other things she was a huge mystic who used to bilocate to the New Mexico region of the USA to do missionary work among the natives before a colonial foot had ever hit the region.

She also wrote the best bio on Our Lady ever written , 'Mystical City of God'. Despite huge support from right across the Church from high to low her cause has never budged.

I think in her case a lot of this has to do with the opposition of the devil, becasue of her close association with Mary and the book she wrote.

I know you are not trying to start an argument with anyone .
    But I have a problem.
When I piece together what I consider reliable prophecy and warnings from the saints and venerables and the fathers of the church, it paints a picture that may end my time on the forum rather abruptly.
A couple of years ago I could post such things. But the times have changed. And to post such things now, seem to be threatening to the new direction of the church.

I hope you find a way to stay Mac. Perhaps the way will be clearer after the Synod.

  18. I hope you stay Mac. If we are all the same it might be boring. Besides, you love the Rosary and I need the prayers.

    Hey Gang,

I'm going to get on my "Soap Box" again and attempt to get all my friends here back on "Target" ...Ah! .. that would be Jesus Christ and Salvation!!
I believe that Ms. Ryden, any Apparition, Synod 2015, Vatican II, Mystics, mutterings of any Cardinal/Bishop, Seers are nothing but peripherals ... that is non-essential things that are designed to keep YOU on course to the "Target". If anything distracts, confuses or unsettles YOU in YOUR Faith and is meaconing YOU off course .... it is time to get back to The Basics of The Faith! The Holy Trinity, Apostles Creed and the essentials that I'm sure most here had instilled in them at an early age! The Lord and Scripture have warned US about Signs, False Prophets, satanic deception & etc! .... JESUS I TRUST IN YOU .. now that's a great Fall Back Position ..... IMHO!

    GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
