What does our Lady mean Rome will become the seat of the antichrist

On the subject of The Antichrist, I think most people are looking for a really bad guy. I know I was doing that for awhile, not always actively but if I was to give this topic some thought that was the type of person that I would think of. People like George Soros do come to mind, those who are definitely antichrist, not at all Christ-like. Then when I gave some thought to what Archbishop Fulton Sheen stated, "The Antichrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers" and I thought about what the Jews are waiting for, then I changed my mind.

Now, I agree with what earthtoangels has stated, more or less. I think that he will "arrive" on the scene after the devastation of war and he will offer a path to peace or at the very least offer to help maintain a new peace. The Jews are expecting their messiah to bring peace,

Isaiah 2:4(DRA) And he [the Lord] shall judge the Gentiles, and rebuke many people: and they shall turn their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into sickles: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they be exercised any more to war.

When the Jews receive their messiah he will be the false messiah, the future Antichrist,

John 5:43(DRA) I am come in the name of my Father, and you receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.

I have also thought about what Dolours has stated in regards to the conversion of the Jews which should occur before "the man of sin" is revealed. I believe that a mass conversion of the Jews will occur after a large war in the Middle East, Ezekiel 38-39 as a result of the Warning. I think that the Warning will occur at the end of this war and maybe the following verse could be speaking of the moment of the Warning,

Ezekiel 39:7 (DRA) And I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel, and my holy name shall be profaned no more: and the Gentiles shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

If you read the next verse from this scripture it does appear to speak of the conversion of the Jews at the end of this war. I don't think that God is talking about the victors eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Gog and all his multitude, in addition, this scripture states that they will be burying them for seven months. I believe that the great victim spoken of in this scripture is Jesus Christ who died on the cross for the salvation of all mankind. I think that this is a reference of the Jews' conversion to Catholicism.

Ezekiel 39:17 (DRA) ...Assemble yourselves, make haste, come together from every side to my victim, which I slay for you, a great victim upon the mountains of Israel: to eat flesh, and drink blood.

Their false messiah will "appear" sometime after this war. He will either help bring peace back or he will help maintain a new peace. Mankind will live in peace for awhile but at some time in the future this man of peace will offer solutions to man's problems that will not be in accordance with the Faith. Some people will not want to go along with his "solutions" and at this time he will be revealed as The Antichrist, the man of sin.

The above, of course, are my thoughts. This is what makes sense to me, it lines up with many, many approved prophecies from Our Lady which include a minor chastisement in the form of war and revolution, an era/period of peace, and then a Chastisement directly from God which includes the destruction of The Antichrist, etc.

I sorta believe that the conversion of the Jews will come at the same time as or because of the Truth the whole world is given during the Warning. There's nothing else in this world itself as it continues on its way, lost to the Truth, that could cause an entire group of differing opinions to suddenly change their way of thinking and believing. They, as every other person experiencing this "enlightenment", will come to accept or reject the Truth of God they are shown, involving their own personal histories, traditions, which played a part in what they came to believe during their lives.

Just as others who have believed in perhaps a portion of the truth due to their upbringings or by choice, as long as they remain open to a fullness of that truth, they will accept what was always intended by God Himself for all children.....to receive Him in His Son, Jesus, the True Messiah...."completing" them. Of course, due to the same respect given to each's free will, there will also be within this group of believers or non, those who will reject this Truth as their hearts, just as others, hardened by this world, continue to wish for something that fits their own personal selfish desires.

They would then accompany the others who have rejected this Truth and then follow an AC in whom they will place their allegiance to gain for them their materialistic "new world" vision with its power and control. After all there is a large percentage of Jews in name only who are entirely secularized....just as there are Christians in name only. It will be the heart that is read and changed when called for in all who experience this grace filled event of Mercy. This was alluded to in the Jewish teen, Natan's NDE as he was told about the Messiah revealed during this revelation of personal guilt or reward based on the law and doing good acts from the heart....that this Messiah, whom he did not actually see himself, would surprise many since they will have already known of Him in some way!!

The Warning will be the line of demarcation for so much, triggering what comes to be in this world afterwards. Depending on the results/reactions, what follows may be more or less mitigated. Thus the prayer "Peace to people of good will"!

The above post of yours, Carol, makes a lot of sense. Just a few questions:
Do you think that the Jews, after conversion to the Faith, will revert when things go bad and start looking again for a Jewish Messiah who turns out to be the AC? Isn't it possible that the converted Jews (all Israel according to the Catechism) will be the ones who resist the AC and it will be mostly Gentiles who follow the Man of Sin? If I remember correctly the author of "The Lord of the World" has the final struggle in Israel, so by the end times the Pope could be in Israel - perhaps at the Mount of Olives. Hope my questions make sense.

    Dolours,

I copied your post and I am going to type my answers in this color text next to each question/post.

The above post of yours, Carol, makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Just a few questions:

Do you think that the Jews, after conversion to the Faith, will revert when things go bad and start looking again for a Jewish Messiah who turns out to be the AC?

No, I think that the AC will appear to be like Christ and almost everyone in the world will be following him. Then he will offer some solution(s) to mankind's problems that will be against our Faith, at which that point some of the people who are following him will reject him and they will be either killed or imprisoned for doing so. We know that this reign of terror will last approximately 3.5 years/1290 days. During this time is when I believe that the Church will truly need to be underground, the schism of all schisms hence,

Luke 18:8 (DRA) I say to you, that he will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?

Isn't it possible that the converted Jews (all Israel according to the Catechism) will be the ones who resist the AC and it will be mostly Gentiles who follow the Man of Sin? If I remember correctly the author of "The Lord of the World" has the final struggle in Israel, so by the end times the Pope could be in Israel - perhaps at the Mount of Olives. Hope my questions make sense. I have not read "The Lord of the World", I read a summary of it but that is about it.

I think that almost no one will resist the AC at first, because he will be Christ-like but who exactly will resist him later IDK, probably a mix of people some will have been born into the Faith and some will have converted.

It appears there is a time in which each beast has the world's admiration.

Rev 13:3 ...And all the earth was in admiration after the beast OR Rev 13:14 And he seduced them that dwell on the earth,...

I don't have all of the details figured out but what I wrote in my other post makes sense right now. Some people believe that the war of Ez38/39 will occur at the very end but why would anyone need to burn weapons for seven years after the time of Eschaton and there is still not enough time to burn the weapons if it occurs at the beginning of the 3.5 year reign of the AC. In addition, the war obviously can't occur during the era/period of peace.

You have great patience with me, Carol, and I really appreciate it. Thank you. Sometimes it feels like my brain is bursting when I try to figure out all this stuff about the end times.

When searching for an article I had read about the rebuilding of the Temple (I will post a link to the article on the thread about the US embassy moving to Jerusalem), I came across what St. Cyril of Jerusalem wrote about the Anti-Christ and the signs to watch out for. It's on the New Advent Catholic Encyclopaedia website. That website is a real treasure trove. I could spend hours on it and often do, sometimes forgetting the initial question I was seeking an answer to. St. Cyril believed that the Jews would see the AC as their Messiah. Have you read the page on the New Advent website covering what St. Cyril said about the end times? Here's the link: http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/310115.htm

Not a topic for this thread, but I was really surprised to read St. Cyril's instructions for receiving Communion. His description of how to receive Communion by hand in the 4th century is as near as makes no different to how young first communicants are taught to approach for Communion nowadays.

I scanned through this link and was not able to find any kind of reference to the capital of Israel moving to Jerusalem such as P.Trump stating a personal observation. I have otherwise read on my own a shift occurring or the capital being moved in some way (I believe in the book After the Warning 2016).

The capital of Israel IS Jerusalem. P. Trump is just wishing to complete all of the prior statements, in words only, made by other U.S. Presidents, and place the Embassy there just as our embassies in other countries are in the stated capitals. Perhaps just a misunderstanding of what was meant?

In that NDE of the Jewish teen, Natan, and also what was given in a dream earlier to another Jewish teen, Jerusalem would be the place of safety, underground, during the major but short war of all nations against Israel. Tel Aviv, where our embassy is currently located, and other city/ies are too secularized and will be demolished.

    ComeSoon! Mercy & Discernment

Personally I have always viewed Jerusalem as such. Forgive me, I've been very much otherwise occupied lately. I have not been brushing up on my Israeli history and the relationship between TelAviv and Jerusalem. At the moment, googling the Capital of Israel, I see no reference to TelAviv. Guess I'll have to google that city for a refresher on that history. OK, doing a quick google search, I'm puzzled why any embassy would be located in a city not the national capital. That's just my humble apolitical redundant question.

Holy Spirit, bring your Day of Mercy/Illumination! All praise for the mercies you have shown us!! My Mom's move day went well.:cautious: definitely not enough faces for this. PHEW!!

I think you may have misunderstood my post. I found the Catholic Encylopaedia's page about St. Cyril when searching for the article about the Jews rebuilding the temple. I found the article and another one giving a different perspective and posted both on the thread about the US moving its embassy. I posted links to both articles on that thread. I mentioned them here by way of explanation of how I found St. Cyril's prophecy (I'm not sure that prophecy is the correct term) about the end times.

What St. Cyril expected to happen in the end times pertains to discussions here about the AntiChrist where I was asking why would the Jews still be looking for a Messiah after the conversion of "all Israel" as the Catechism tells us will happen before the Second Coming of Jesus.

I hope your mother will have a very Happy Christmas in her new home.

The same question has been asked when it comes to the Warning, the universal "correction of conscience", as to how anyone living through this would or could not accept the Truth they are shown during this moment in time....not repent....and continue afterwards their former lives of sin even to the degree of persecuting those who have repented and commit to follow Christ. That is why our Lady is asking us now to repent so that our hearts do not become so hardened as to even refuse this coming greatest act of God's Mercy for the world. For the Jews, who will also experience this universal moment of the Warning, meant for all of God's children for the whole world's knowledge in order to return to Him, it will be no different. Those with good will towards the Truth but formerly doubting due to many reasons, but who also fulfilled the universal requirements of loving others from the heart and following their law as known to them and their traditions will also see the "Light" and unite as one humanity under Christ/Truth. But then, again, some will desire by their own free wills to choose to follow another one of this world, the AC and those committed to Satan.

Yes, I understand that. What I'm trying to figure out is will there be some kind of revival of Judaism after the conversion of all Israel. If that were to happen, would it be a perversion of Judaeism because most of the world will follow the AC and the Church will be reduced to a remnant? I'm not sure how Judaism handles conversions. Are there two levels of Jews (I'm talking about the faith here and not the nationality/race or whatever is the correct term for the bloodline of the descendants of Abraham and Sarah)? Is the faith and the race so intertwined as to be inseparable and converts are regarded as not quite Jewish?

Well, I would think that the AC will make provisions for whatever people wish to call themselves within his universalist type "religion" that will be all inclusive. That's part of his being a false man of a false peace. Those Jews who accept the Truth of the True Faith shown within the Warning.....(even our own Church leaders will need to be purified and accept a lot of responsibility for not following God's continuing inspirations or who have bastardized His Truth over time within His intended true Church).....could be like "completed" Jews, knowing then the True Messiah, as always intended for them too and so fall into the family of God as it was intended from the beginning....not splintered. All, no matter from whence they came, will wish to live according to God's Will. What role those Jews, after the Warning, will have in the New Jerusalem only God knows, according to His plans. But it will be such dire times when the AC arrives on the scene that those who denied the Truth of the Warning will more than likely only be looking to survive, willing to sell their souls, cut themselves off from the Holy Spirit, and then all would have to give allegiance to the AC, no matter their history. And those Jews within that category would agree to accept this false Messiah for material gain. Communism operated in a similar way....swear allegiance to basic Atheism and then you are permitted some type of work and education, or, re-education to the needs of the system. Anyway, to my way of thinking as to the real purpose of the Warning as has been revealed. It won't be just the Christians, in their historical sense, who will be persecuted, but also those who have repented of their sins shown to them during the Warning, and who desire to follow the Christ from then on.

This is my hope and prayer for my sisters. They do have great love in their hearts for the less fortunate. Yet they don't understand the importance of the example shown. Some won't without Christ being in front of them I guess on that Day of Warning.

Do you believe that this warning will be shortly prior to the coming of the AntiChrist. If so, on what do you base your belief? Is it from prophecy of a saint or a Church approved apparition?

In the Diary of St Faustina, and I paraphrase, we read that Our Lord told her that before He comes as the Just Judge, He will come as the King of Mercy
It will grow dark and His Cross will appear in the sky
This will occur shortly before the last day
    This is from Diary83
    The whole entry is significant
It sounds like an Illumination of Conscience
    From an approved source
I wish I could upload the whole section

I have the diary on my kindle but haven't read it yet. Shortly before the last day could be decades. There seems to have been a trend in the Old Testament that it took the Israelites about a generation or two to fall away from the faith whenever God got them back on track. Perhaps we will go the way of the Israelites and be very devout for a while until memory fades and the temptations of the world take over, paving the way for the AC. I'm wondering what Jesus meant when the told the Jews that they would accept another who came in his own name. The Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah so I'm assuming, and I believe some of the Early Church Fathers believed, that the Jews would accept the AC as their Messiah. I'm also assuming, therefore, that the false religion of the AC will be some kind of imitation of Judaeism which will deceive both converted Jews and Gentiles.

Well, Jesus did say to St. Faustina that the end was near, but that was almost a century ago...but He wanted to prepare people for the last days by giving us a period of His Divine Mercy before He comes as Just Judge. You are correct, there doesn't seem to be much of a timeline here, but I think we have a very good description of what the cross will look like in Diary83.
Also, and this is going to sound wimpy, but when we talk about timelines, they do not seem to be exact because 1) God alone knows the timeline, 2) prayers can mitigate chastisements, move them forward into the future or lessen their intensity.
Matt 24:30 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in Heaven"
This is just prior to the Last Judgement
Yes, that is quite a statement from Our Lord about the Jews accepting another who came in His own name. Your interpretation sounds plausible. We have to remember that the AC will be so charming and convincing and will be able to lead many astray since they will not be standing on the Rock. (Jesus)
Clearly, to me, the Lord wants to prepare us. I have not read the whole Diary, just pieces of it. What a gift, though.

I have been reading about Moses Hess whom some refer to as the father of Zionism. Moses comes across as quite the racist although this Zionist website explains that away by saying he really meant Jewish nationalism: http://www.zionismontheweb.org/Moses_Hess_Rome_and_Jerusalem.htm Racist or not, he considered Jews to be superior to everyone else and called Jewish genius the "holy spirit". He believed that we are in the Messianic age but he appears to have believed that to be achieved by man being "resurrected" through enlightenment to the stage that man becomes a kind of god. According to Moses, the Jews had a headstart and were teaching humanitarianism to the Christians and others. He considered the French, Germans and English to be further along the road than the people of other nations although I think America was also in his good books. We would all catch up at some stage and eventually be resurrected although I don't know whether that would be at the same time as the Jews.

Moses wrote a book (more an essay than a book) in the form of a series of letters laying out his kind of Judaism and, I suppose, what could be called his worldview. The book's title is "From Rome to Jerusalem". I found it on Wikipedia and have been ploughing my way through it. Moses had some odd ideas. Although he didn't really believe in Orthodox Judaism, he seems to have favoured it for its distinct Jewishness. Not much of a fan of Reformed Judaism, I think that some here might be interested in what Moses wrote in his 8th letter. That letter touches on Freemasonry and what he calls "unifiers" who were Christians and Jews who believed in a new religion which consisted of whatever they considered the best of all religions. There's also a paragraph in that letter about the Jewish phylacteries which by Mosaic command Jews wear as a sign that they remember the Divine teaching. St. John must have been familiar with the phylacteries and probably wore them himself, so perhaps the mark of the beast in Revelation is something similar but signifying devotion to the AC.

Here's a link to the Eighth Letter: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Rome_and_Jerusalem/Eighth_Letter There are plenty of pictures on the internet of Jewish men wearing phylacteries. I think they may also be called tefillin.

Anyway, while I understand completely that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and that the Israelis are entitled to expect foreign embassies to be located there, I'm a bit worried about Trump relying so much on the support of Evangelicals. My concerns arise from the Jews (at least some Jews) believing that rebuilding the Temple will herald the coming of the Messiah, and the Evangelicals' belief that they will be "raptured" while the rest of us are annihilated by God.
