To understand Pope Francis, you have to understand the Jesuits

I believe that there are saints (Bishop Schneider being one) speaking Truth to power but their voices are being drowned out by the din of those rushing to proclaim evil good and good evil. We knew this day would come. We just didn't expect it within the Church.

Fr Hardon's words that Fatima has kindly quoted for us is the answer to your question Jarg:

It is not just at the heart of Ignatian spirituality, it is the heart of our faith as Catholics to recognize that when God became man, and identified Himself by saying “I am the Truth,” that when He appointed Peter as His visible ambassador on earth and the successors of Peter as the Bishops of Rome, they are the Vicars of Truth! Oh, how many Catholics need to re-examine their consciences and ask themselves how faithful are they to the recognizing the Bishop of Rome as Christ’s divinely-ordained ambassador for the truth.

What I would like an answer to David is why wasn't PF faithful to St JP2's condemnation of PF "communist catholic" philosophy of liberation theology? Obviously PF was not faithful at all to the Bishop of Rome.

One should not have to, but it seems apparent the confusion on all fronts is excessive, so once again clarification is called for.

The 4th commandment of God is obedience to the father and mother. It is apparent to most that this obedience stands insofar as the parents are asking something of their children that is in compliance with the Divine Will. If the parents are asking or suggesting that the child could do something contrary to God's will, such as fornication, Sodomy, contraception, abortion, masturbation, look at porn, stealing or any other sins of this generation the child must resist the parents will in lieu of God's laws.

The same applies to fidelity to the pope. Do what he suggests as it is in accordance to God's will, but reject what is not. One knows what is and is not in accordance to the Divine will, because it has been taught in scripture and the constant teachings of the true magisterium. It's that simple for those with true faith.

Put no man's spin on God's laws, even from a pope, above the unchanging truths of God. Father Hadon SJ, would have said the same thing. Do not be deceived by the slick language of those that have compromised the truth. Truth does not change, because truth is God and from God and it cannot ever change. Anyone who suggests otherwise is not of God and knows not his truth.

The Jesuits were formed as a special form of spiritual "shock troops" for the Popes. The "Pope's Marines" as it were. The German SS in World War II modeled their code of blind obedience to superiors on the Jesuit model. In the Jesuit model guilt for following a questionable order fell on the superior, not on the individual who is carrying out the order. That is why the constant refrain from Nazi's after the war was "I was only following orders."

When normal morality returned after the war was over, the Nazi's found out that form of thinking was no excuse for bad behavior.

This type of obedience is not what normal Catholic obedience to superiors is. It is particular only to the Jesuits.

  6. It is completely unacceptable that any catholic anywhere would have to understand the arcane practices and history of a dying religious order like the Jesuits , or any other religious order for that matter ,in order to understand the utterances of the Bishop of Rome.
The Bishop of Rome has a duty to make his teaching clear and understandable.
Catholics can not follow Christ if the teaching of Christs one Holy Catholic and Roman church is unclear and confusing.
What has been coming from Rome for the past 4 years is utter confusion.
This of course all devolves back to the alleged resignation of Pope Benedict xvi .
