This is why we must continue to pray and fast for Pope Francis. His progressive thinking is willing to dance on the edge of heresy in order to appease his thirst for what he views as compassion. However, it is false compassion in key areas of the faith. He is diluted, because he has allowed himself to be. I think many social justice priests and bishops fall into this same false compassion. They despise rigidity of laws and even the commandments and how one can know this is simply listen to what the preach on. Rarely if ever moral teachings of the faith (which is so prevalent in the world today), ie., adultery, fornication, sodomy, contraception, masturbation, pornography and even abortion. They do not live in the black and white of the faith, but in the grey.
My dilemma...most social justice priest ignore everything else including talk about sacraments, prayer and the mystical. Pope Francis does speak about social justice but that is only about 10% of his teachings. The media makes it out to be 100% of his focus. Read his daily homilies and he speaks about so many different things especially the mystical. I think lots of people are judging him from selected web sites without reading his homilies.
No, what's worrying are the people he surrounds himself with, the hatchet job he's doing on Cardinal Burke and anyone who isn't a modernist, and the way he talks about faithful Catholics struggling to live the faith in a hostile world. It's doubly suspicious that his biggest cheerleaders are Atheists, apostates and other non-Catholics. Jesus told the Apostles that the world would hate them. The world loves Pope Francis.
I I would very much like to believe this, but rather than being the ball being kicked Francis, it seems to me, is the one doing the kicking. Which is why they picked him in the first place
But our God is a God of miracles, I have complete confidence He will pull a rabbit out of a hat for us. Complete and total Faith
If you looked at these things from too human a perspective you would loose Faith , but we are Gods Church, He will never desert us, be full of hope
