Hi Mark, I'm not really sure if anyone can really answer your question in a manner that will give you peace of mind, or clarity... I'll share with you my experience though... For years I often commented to friends and family that "if it was me in charge, I'd end it right here and now" (precisely for the reasons you cite: the slaughter of babies - not to mention a million other deplorable reasons). The thing is though, if our father in heaven had have done so, then I would be in hell right now. As it happened, I had a strong faith in my younger years, passed-onto me by my parents when I was a child. I lost the faith in my youth. Well, perhaps a semblance of faith remained. In my mid-thirties however the Lord somehow drew me back. I may not make heaven, but now I at least have a chance of getting there. When I reflect on today's goings-on I compare them to the second sorrow of Mary: the flight into Egypt - and specifically the slaughter of the innocents by Herod. Biblical scholars have suggested that the innocents gave their lives for the baby Jesus. For as we know he escaped Herod into Egypt. Perhaps, just perhaps - one of the babies lost in the womb today has given their life for me. That I may escape the clutches of 'Herod'. I believe it is up to me now to live the most holy life that I can in honour of these babies. But also it is up to me to campaign for an end to the travesty that is abortion. I could be a million miles from the truth here. I don't know. But the world inflicts and endorses this awful tragedy upon our babies. It isn't God that does it. He leaves it to us to stand up for them, to pray for them.
I am afraid when people think, 'My Government is better than all the rest', they delude themselves. They will all do whatever it takes when the time comes. I was just thinking about this before I read your post. It is an error that a great many myself included have fallen into in the past and one which I know that I must constantly guard against. Satan is a wily one. With Christianity being over a billion people on the earth and the words of Our Lord say that the way is very narrow I think that it is safe to assume that a great many delude themselves thinking that their way to heaven is secure while supporting the actions of Caesar and the blood lust of the world.
The Catholic concepts of what constitutes just war Whatever happened to them? I vaguely remember that there is such a thing
Poison making is particularly troubling, however. St. Paul condemns it specifically (several times, if I remember right), but it's usually translated as Witchcraft or magic for some reason. The Latin word is veneficium, which is literally 'poison making/maker'. Galatians 5:19-21 is an example of this, where the KJV translates it as 'witchcraft'. Makes me think of the Russians and North Koreans...my discernment on this is telling me that the guy who was poisoned may have had it himself, as a left-over from his spy days, but who knows. I really hope Russia didn't do this, it would greatly lower my opinion of them. Why not just shoot the guy? This all seems unnecessarily cloak and dagger. Poisoned and found on a bench...seems way too cliche to be as it seems.
Why would I possibly think that the same dioceses/parishes that would accept the Gay Agenda message would also accept, backdoor at the moment, the Abortion Agenda ... or any of "The Agendas" of the "Left"? ....... Eh?!!? ........ and when Faithful Catholics object the above excoriate, libel and marginalize them .... just as they do with Trump & his Deplorables. I'm sure I've mentioned my belief that The Church has been in Slow-Schism for 50+ years..... when Vatican II was Hi-Jacked by The Usual Suspects and "Regular" Catholics were napping like Rip van Winkle. "Things" be moving fast now, Gang!! As those evil Boy Scouts used to say: Be Prepared!! A shooting would have probably been written off as "street crime" by the local authorities to avoid International Incident. The New Reds are also sending a message to the former British Empire and that message is: The Brit's Glory Days are long past and England is a weak and dithering has-been that can't even protect it's own citizens from radical Islamic Invasion ... or common street thugs. Just like the rest of the EU!! ........ and the days of unlimited USA power, $$$$$ and Nuclear Umbrella be over too! GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!! ..... and Happy Saint Patrick's Day! View attachment 7550
I wish I knew what to think in this, part of me agrees with you and part is finding it more likely that this is the CIA or someone framing the Russians. I honestly have no clue.
CrewDog, You may have nailed it! any name you wish, You should read Putin's interview which is posted on the Kremlin's website, http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/57027 and on this thread http://motheofgod.com/threads/russia-megyn-kellys-interview-with-vladimir-putin.11820/#post-203379 and watch the video of his "new weapon" announcement which was posted on here http://motheofgod.com/threads/evil-empire-or-russia-consecrated.6827/page-43#post-202664 . Putin says he gave order to shoot down jet he feared targeted Sochi Olympics in 2014, then retracted it By Patrick Reevell Mar 12, 2018 http://abcnews.go.com/International...t-jet-feared-targeted-sochi/story?id=53682008 David Goldman-Pool/Getty Images FILE Russian President Vladimir Putin stands during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony at Fisht Olympic Stadium on Feb. 23, 2014, in Sochi, Russia. Russia’s president Vladimir Putin in a new documentary film said he gave an order to shoot down a passenger airliner in 2014 that was feared to be hijacked and headed toward the opening ceremony of the Sochi Winter Olympics. The order was cancelled after it proved to be a false alarm, Putin said. Speaking in a new two-hour documentary, titled ‘Putin,’ that has been released on Russian social media, Putin said he had been en route to the opening ceremony on Feb. 7, 2014, when he received a call from security officers overseeing the Winter Games in the Black Sea city. “I was told, 'A plane en route from Ukraine to Istanbul was seized, captors demand landing in Sochi,'” Putin said in the film. He said he asked the officers what the procedure was for such a situation and they replied it was to shoot down hijacked aircraft that threatened the event. “I told them, 'Act according to the plan,'” Putin said. Five minutes after giving the order, Putin said, he received another call informing him it was a false alarm, a passenger aboard the airliner was drunk and had made threats. The incident that Putin referred to was known about at the time, though not Putin’s shoot-down order. A drunk Ukrainian man aboard a Turkish Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800 flying from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv to Istanbul had tried to force the plane’s pilots to divert toward Sochi. In some Russian media reports at the time, the man was said to have shouted, “Bomb!,” and “Let’s fly to Sochi!” The pilots radioed about the incident and the flight made an emergency landing at an Istanbul airport, arriving safely with the 110 passengers aboard the flight. It was not reported as a major incident at the time. The documentary, hosted by a senior journalist from Russian state television, Andrey Kondrashov, has been released ahead of the country’s presidential election on March 18. In the softball interview, Putin polishes the strongman image that he has cultivated throughout his 18-year rule. “A person in my position does not have the right to show weakness,” Putin told Kondrashov. Kondrashov asks Putin if there is anything that he cannot forgive. Putin replied, “Betrayal.” But the Russian leader added that he hasn’t ever encountered any “serious events, which it would be possible to call betrayal.” The journalist asked, “They were just afraid to betray you?” “Hard to say," Putin answered. "Maybe I chose such people who aren’t capable of that.” Putin’s comments about betrayal come amid widespread suspicion that the Kremlin ordered the nerve-gas poisoning of a former Russian double agent in Britain last week. British officials have hinted heavily that they believe authorization for the attack on the ex-spy, Sergey Skripal, likely came from Russia, and British media have reported that the U.K. government is preparing retaliatory measures against Moscow. Russian officials have denied involvement, but Russian state media have made veiled threats toward “traitors” since the attack. An anchor on Russia’s main evening news broadcast on Channel 1 last week warned “traitors” to avoid Britain, noting, “There have been too many strange incidents. People get hanged, poisoned, they die in helicopter crashes and fall out of windows in industrial quantities.” “Maybe it’s something with the climate,” the anchor, Kirill Kleymenov said. In the documentary Putin also talked about his grandfather’s work as a chef for Joseph Stalin, the Soviet dictator. He “was a cook at Lenin's and later at Stalin’s, at one of the dachas in the Moscow area," Putin said in the film. The story that Putin’s grandfather, Spiridon Putin, had been a chef for Stalin was already known. The film said Spiridon Putin cooked for other members of the Soviet establishment until not long before his death in 1965 at the age of 86, Reuters reported. _____________ At least he has his shirt on in this photo which was recently used on MSN to promote an article about him,
Lots of cultural things there. The word (also translated as "potioner") is in the section that talks about sexual immorality. Since a number of the gods encouraged orgies, then the natural result would be babies. The potioners sold abortifacients. By the time the KJV was translated, the only place to get these abortifacients was with the women who followed Wicca, aka, Witches. Ergo, the condemnation of Witches, when in fact, it is a condemnation of abortion.
The "enemy" is so numerous that it's impossible to pray for them all individually. The love of money is the root of all evil and there's money in abortion, people trafficking, child exploitation/pornography, etc. We see the public faces of these evils but we probably will never know the real movers and shakers behind them. I rely on the Fatima prayer or variations of it because asking God to lead all souls to Heaven especially those in most need of His mercy should cover all the bases. We have to trust that if enough of us say the same prayer God will respond by changing the hearts of the evil doers.
Yes, the Devil’s hatred of Russia is readily apparent in the daily Freemason demonization of all things Russia and Putin. I was really surprised to see Spirit Daily parrot the Freemason talking points aimed at blaming Putin for the poisoning. Extremely disappointing to see Spirit Daily parrot the Western propaganda like it is gospel truth.
This is so creepy! And who wants to sit around ruminating on past experiences forever anyway? It seems like it would get boring; not to mention immoral. Billionaire signs up to be killed, have brain digitally preserved By Saqib Shah, The Sun March 14, 2018 A Silicon Valley billionaire is paying the ultimate price for immortality: death. Well, that, and a spare 10 grand. Entrepreneur Sam Altman is one of 25 people who have splashed the cash to join a waiting list at Nectome – a startup that promises to upload your brain into a computer to grant you eternal life. There’s just one (huge) catch: It has to kill you first. The process, as described in the MIT Technology Review, involves embalming your brain for it to potentially be simulated later in a computer. The living customer would be hooked up to a machine and then pumped full of Nectome’s custom embalming chemicals. The method is “100 percent fatal,” claims the company. “The user experience will be identical to physician-assisted suicide,” Nectome’s co-founder Robert McIntyre revealed to the publication. “Our mission is to preserve your brain well enough to keep all its memories intact: from that great chapter of your favorite book to the feeling of cold winter air, baking an apple pie, or having dinner with your friends and family,” writes Nectome on its site. “We believe that within the current century it will be feasible to digitize this information and use it to recreate your consciousness.” How delightful. The reality, however, is that physician-assisted suicide is currently only legal in five out of 50 US states, and individuals seeking it must have a terminal illness, as well as a prognosis of six months or less to live. As crazy as it sounds, the idea of uploading our consciousness into a computer is gaining ground among techies and scientists. Futurologist Dr. Ian Pearson previously told The Sun that in 50 years time we’ll be able to transfer our brains to the cloud (tech speak for online storage). That way you’ll be able to “use any android that you feel like to inhabit the real world,” he said. Altman, whose company Y Combinator funds startups, is best buds with fellow Silicon Valley billionaire (and PayPal co-founder) Peter Thiel. The two were recently lampooned when Altman let slip that they were planning to escape a potential apocalypse by hiding in the bunker in Thiel’s home in New Zealand. But, if you’re living in a computer, do you even have to worry about the end of days?
So, the authors he quotes; these are all nationalists of by gone days. What does this mean for Christians in any place that Turkey has influence... These will go right along with the compulsory Islamic education classes that he mandated not long ago be taught in every school. Turkey is pushing for the return to its days of caliphate empire. http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/ottoman-turkish-should-be-taught-in-schools-erdogan-says-128828 Ottoman Turkish should be taught in schools, Erdoğan says ANKARA President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has once again said Ottoman Turkish should be taught in schools, accusing the early Republican period’s “language revolution” of “destroying” the Turkish language. “It is one of the biggest problems in recent history that our language has become a subject of political discussions. In the name of ‘language revolution,’ our Turkish was attacked by unpleasant, dull and soulless words. The bond between our nation and its old civilization was tried to be weakened,” Erdoğan said on March 15 at the award ceremony of a high school’s composition contest at the presidential complex in Ankara. Ottoman Turkish is an old form of Turkish using Arabic script, with many words borrowed from Persian and Arabic. As part of cultural reforms to create a Western-style secular state, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of modern Turkey, replaced Ottoman Turkish with the Latin alphabet. In 1932, as part of Atatürk’s drive to make the new form of Turkish more widespread, the Turkish Language Society (Türk Dil Kurumu) was founded. Erdoğan has long criticized the changes, saying it made Turkey lose touch with its history. “Our bond with our history was cut,” he said. “If you cut the vein of one nation from its language, then you cut their ties with their grandfathers,” he added. “If today younger generations cannot understand Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Ömer Seyfettin or Ahmet Haşimi, let alone Fuzuli or Baki, it is because our language was destroyed during that period,” he said, referring to late Ottoman nationalist authors. “I believe the period that destroyed the richness of our language is long gone. But I believe the destruction continues. For this reason, I think it would be good that Ottoman Turkish gets taught in schools,” he said. Erdoğan also criticized the influence of the internet over language, urging citizens to be careful not to use foreign words. He called on shopkeepers to change the names of their shops if they were not Turkish. https://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/09/...ses-as-part-of-tradtional-turkish-values.html Turks Feud Over Change in Education By CEYLAN YEGINSUDEC. 8, 2014 Continue reading the main storyShare This Page Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey promised on Monday to introduce compulsory classes in Ottoman Turkish into the national school curriculum, regardless of public objections. Ottoman Turkish is an older form of the national language, written in a type of Arabic script, with many words and phrases borrowed from Arabic or Persian. Its official use was discontinued in 1928 by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey, in favor of a more vernacular form of Turkish, written with the Latin alphabet. “There are those who do not want this to be taught,” Mr. Erdogan told the Religion Council in Ankara on Monday. “This is a great danger. Whether they like it or not, the Ottoman language will be learned and taught in this country.” Some people see Mr. Erdogan’s move as reflecting a broader goal of restoring an Ottoman-like state. His remarks have added fuel to a debate set off last week by the National Education Council, which proposed that Ottoman language classes become mandatory at religious high schools and be offered as optional electives in secular high schools. The council also called for classes in “religious values” to be taught to children as young as 6. The recommendations have drawn widespread criticism from parents and political opponents, who argue that the council — and the Islamist-led government of Mr. Erdogan — is trying to “Islamize” the public schools and roll back Ataturk’s secularization and modernization of Turkey. “The education system is in shambles, but instead of introducing real reforms, the government is pushing through irrelevant backward subjects that do nothing more than brainwash children with their ideologies,” said Ayse Karvan, a mother of two students at the Behcet Kemal Caglar High School. “Why Ottoman?” she asked. “The Turkish language doesn’t even have significant Ottoman roots,” Ms. Karvan said, calling it “irrelevant.” Mr. Erdogan argued that knowledge of the older language would help Turks reconnect with their past and read old documents and gravestones. “History rests in those gravestones,” he said. “Can there be a bigger weakness than not knowing this?” He called Ataturk’s switch to vernacular Turkish and the Latin alphabet “equal to the severing of our jugular veins.” Mr. Erdogan’s exercise of power has stirred criticism of his government’s measures to quash opposition and rein in the judiciaryand the media, and of his new presidential palace, with more than 1,000 rooms.
Reminds me of an old Night Gallery episode (I think) where a mobster is promised an escape. This doctor promises (for a price, namely all the mobster's money) he will preserve the mobster's brain, stimulating it with all the happy memories he's ever had. The doctor showed the mobster a room full of living brains in bubbling jars, and the doctor points out a few fellow criminals the mobster knew. We watch the doctor mapping the mobster's memories, particularly of his wife, moving between the memories where she is telling him how much she loves him and the memories of the fights. When the mapping is completed, the mobster gets the doctor to promise that he'll get all of his good memories. The mobster ties up loose ends, including killing his bodyguard so no one can know where he's gone. The mobster goes to the doctor, hands him a suitcase full of money, and then goes under the knife. In the final scene, we see the doctor gently placing a new brain-in-a-bottle on a shelf with the life-support systems running, and we get a peek at the memories the mobster is having. Except it's not the happy memories. What the mobster is experiencing (and will continue to experience until the end of time, we assume) is memory after memory of his wife not being loving, but calling him pathetic and other insults. As the camera pans down the shelf, we see the memories the other brains are experiencing, and it's things like a man remembering his father beating him, another one of being laughed at by schoolmates, and so on. All without end. Sounds like hell to me.
