No, since this was happening at a party, it would have to be a platter, although not necessarily covered. The option is to carry the head by the hair like some bowling ball bag.

It is terrifying. Very poignant reports on the news of people who have lost their houses. Pictures of the highways look like a snapshot of the Inferno.

Yes, I had not either until recently while doing some research on just exactly what Mr Obama has been up to lately. He was on Jimmy Kimmel hawking his wares for this as was Bono, the supposed ring leader of the push to get people to use Amazon purchases to contribute.

I have zero trust in any philanthropic venture djm. This organization while appearing to make such humanitarian strides in Africa to eliminate AIDS is very suspect. Just like the Red Cross and all the major charities. The Gates foundation is another, on the face of things its lets rid the world of "insert horrible disease here" and in reality it is about stopping families from having children. Whether they want to comply or not.

Hurricane-force gusts could cripple battle vs. Southern California wildfires

VENTURA, Calif. -- Southern California has felt yellow wind, orange wind, and red wind. But never purple wind. Until now. The color-coded system showing the expected strength of the winds driving the region's fierce wildfires has reached uncharted territory, pushing past red, which means "high," into the color that means "extreme."

"The forecast for tomorrow (Thursday) is purple," said Ken Pimlott, director at the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. "We've never used purple before."

Southern California has already been hit hard by three major fires that have put tens of thousands of people under evacuation orders and destroyed at nearly 200 homes and buildings, a figure almost certain to grow.

But hard-won progress of firefighters could be erased Thursday, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Now!!~ Before Ya have visions of pregnant ladies in the jets or combat ops. When pregnant, a woman is relegated to light-duty paper shuffling jobs away from anything that will harm her/baby. No flight-line noise, jet fuel, cleaning solvents, oil, ammo or ....... Her male workmates take-up the slack :(!!
It just the fact that they have, at great cost, designed Maternity "Battle" Dress Uniforms (BDU) that is ridiculous.

Saudi Arabia's power-hungry crown prince sent a proxy to buy a $450 million Leonardo da Vinci painting

    • Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is behind the purchase of most expensive painting ever sold at auction.
    • A Leonardo da Vinci painting of Jesus Christ sold for $450 million.
    • Crown Prince Mohammed reportedly used another Saudi prince as a proxy for the purchase.
Saudi Arabia's powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is reportedly behind the purchase of the most expensive painting ever sold at auction, according to The Wall Street Journal.

US government intelligence sources and a Saudi art-world figure all confirmed to The Journal that Crown Prince Mohammed was the buyer of a $450 million Leonardo da Vinci painting of Jesus Christ.

Crown Prince Mohammed is widely seen to be the muscle behind the recent anti-corruption purge, as he consolidates power in a way Saudi Arabia hasn't seen in decades. Many of Saudi Arabia's richest and most powerful people were arrested and jailed last month.

Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan al-Saud was identified as the mystery buyer in a New York Times report published Wednesday, but is now reported to be a proxy for the crown prince. US intelligence reports have been closely tracking Prince Mohammed's activities, according to The Journal, and identified him as the painting's buyer.

The nature of the painting — a rendition of Christ — and the timing of the purchase — less than two weeks after the corruption purge — calls into question whether the crown prince has been selectively targeting people in the crackdown, The Times reported.

Here is the painting, which will be featured at the Louvre Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates: [IMG]

Prince Bader, part of a distant branch of the wealthy royal family, is reportedly friends and business partners with Crown Prince Mohammed.

The Saudi art-world figure told The Journal that Prince Bader "is a proxy" for Prince Mohammed.

"It is a fact that this deal was done via a proxy," the person said.

It's not such a nice painting. Jesus looks like he's half asleep and he has girly ringlets in his hair. I doubt the picture would fetch $45.50 if it weren't a DaVinci.

And why is there a red arrow pointing to a circle? Was Jesus meant to be holding something in his hand but old Leonardo forgot to paint it in?

Dolours, Some art experts believe that it is not in fact a DaVinci. I apologize for the red marks on the painting, they are not part of the actual painting at all but they were added to the image to demonstrate why the painting may be a "fake". I used this image because it was included in the article from the former post of mine that I was replying to.

No need to apologise, Carol, because we've all seen other photos of the paining and it should be obvious that the arrow and circle weren't part of the painting. I just wondered what they were highlighting.

I can't help but laugh at the title of this article. POWER HUNGRY! MAD! AN ANIMAL! Sorry, I know it's off topic but the msm is constantly telling us how to think and sometimes its so absurd it is simply ludicrous.

It must be his allowing women to drive or go out without an escort? He must be mad! On a serious note, I only know that this man has gutted his soon to be Kingdom of a bunch of men who were bent on taking over and have been contributing to making the world not so great a place. Time will tell with regards to his rule but it seems he is off to a decent start to me.

Of all the artwork, why did this Muslim prince purchase a painting of Jesus?

My guess would be that it's just an investment to him and having a Leonardo daVinci painting on display should be a boost to the reputation of their art gallery.

    Just did some reading up.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has said he intends to return Saudi Arabia to "moderate Islam" and open the country to all faiths. (http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/world/2017/november/is-a-door-opening-for-christianity-in-saudi-arabia)

Pretty expensive start to this initiative. But I offered him up to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, all the same. In this season of hope, I think I should pray that this leads to something good :D
