God Bless you Santus, I have been wondering whether others are also feeling the current attacks and carrying what seems like an additional and ackward cross!

This is perfectly normal Sanctus, God allows His faithful followers to experience the weight of the cross every liturgical year and the pilgrim Church ascends calvary every year with Christ but I believe it is becoming heavier!

The sufferings are very destressing and extremely hard to bear but keep up your prayers! especially the rosary and Our Lady will place you under her mantle where she shields you from even greater attack.

The church's faithful experience the liturgical year very intimately!

We accompany Christ as he ascends calvery in agony! but we also accompany Christ now as he carrys the cross of His bride [the church] up to calvary which is happening now!

Let us remember that we are as privileged as saint Simon of Cyrene was because we can give consolation to Our Lord in this honoured endeavour.

The cross will ease on Sunday the Feast of Christ the King! But I think it will resume the following Sunday.

    God Bless.

Thanks Josephite. I feel God has a plan for my life and it is being happening at the moment through these trials, hopefully. I just have to trust that it will work out.

St. Michael is very powerful. He has been there for me....and I knew it. Plead to him every time you feel an attack...be relentless....soon you will feel relief! Do it daily until this passes.....and know that we are interceding for you.

You are not alone and believe it or not, you are in a good place; the answer is surrender.

I recommend the enclosed prayer; say it every day and not just 9 day novena

    God Bless

Thank you for the novena Light. I am beginning to feel that everything is all part of God's plan and surrender is the answer, as you say.

More prayers tonight. I am saddened to see people on the forum suffer, but I know that with no suffering there is no growth. No Cross no Crown.

But more prayers tonight that the Cross might not be too hard to bear.

    1. "If you can talk with the Lord in prayer, talk to him, offer him your praise; if, due to great weariness, you cannot speak, do not find displeasure in the ways of the Lord. Stay in the room like servants of the court do, and make a gesture of reverence. He will see you, and your presence will be pleasing to him. He will bless your silence and at another time you will find consolation when he takes you by the hand."

    2. "The more bitterness you experience, the more love you will receive."

    3. "Jesus wants to fill your whole Heart."

    4. "God wants his omnipotence to reside in your powerlessness."

    5. "Faith is the torch that guides the steps of the spiritually desolate."

    6. "In the uproar of the passions and of reverses of fortune, we are upheld by the comforting hope of God’s inexhaustible mercy."

    7. "Put all your trust only in God."

    8. "The best consolation is that which comes from prayer."

    9. "Fear nothing. On the contrary, consider yourself very fortunate to have been made worthy to participate in the sufferings of the Man-God."

    10. "God leaves you in that darkness for his glory; here is a great opportunity for your spiritual progress."

    11. "The darkness that sometimes clouds the sky of your souls is light: by means of it, when it arrives, you believe you are in darkness and you have the impression that you are in the midst of a burning briar patch. It’s true that, when brambles burn, it gets smoky all around and the disoriented spirit is afraid of not seeing or understanding anything anymore. But then God speaks and makes himself present to the soul, that glimpses, understands, loves and trembles."

    12. "My Jesus, love is what sustains me."

    13. "Happiness is only found in heaven."

    14. "When you feel despised, imitate the kingfisher, who builds its nest on the masts of ships. That is to say, raise yourself up above the earth, elevate yourselves with your mind and heart to God, who is the only one who can console you and give you strength to withstand the trial in a holy way."

    15. "Be certain that the more the attacks of the devil increase, that much closer is God to your soul."

    16. "Bless the Lord for your suffering and accept to drink the chalice of Gethsemane."

    17. "Be capable of bearing bitter sufferings during your whole life so you can participate in the sufferings of Christ."

    18. "Suffering born in a Christian way is the condition that God, the author of all grace and of all the gifts that lead to salvation, has established for granting us glory."

    19. "Remember that we cannot triumph in battle if not through prayer; the choice is yours."

    20. "Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is a key that opens God’s heart."

  16. Hi Sanctus

I have been going through the same for a number of years now plus the effects of physical trauma. So like others here I can empathise. Sometimes the only thing that makes sense of it all is my morning offering which I make no matter how I feel.

Somehow all the crap serves a higher purpose. So high that I can''t see it but as Jesus said, "Blessed are those who have not seen but believed. " I pray that we are sustained in faith until the light breaks through.

Sometimes my prayer is "Gimme a break Lord" then in moments of clarity it's "Have it Your way."

    God bless you Sanctus.

    Here's to better days.

Yes, Sanctus, it will pass and it will serve a good purpose. You just have to trust that God has you in the palm of His hand.

Joe I posted the below post, on the 'Close the forum until Christmas?' thread. It ties in closely to what you have stated above...........

To make all things in your life a prayer! all one has to do is make a morning offering!

This then resonates thoughout the day in your life! The Holy Spirit makes you realise each action, thought or distress you have through that day is what you are offering to God and the Holy Spirit also inspires you to make time for more intimate prayer!

    This becomes a habit.

I once read that if all people in a nursing home said a morning offering this would increase the the graces of the Church, give relief to victim souls and inspire young people!

    The morning Offering.

Heavenly Father I give you my will and I ask that Your Will be done in my life.
Holy Spirit, Come live in my life!

Oh Jesus, through the sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary Thy Mother, and in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being offered throughout the world today, I offer up to You all my thoughts, words, prayers, actions, joys, sufferings, sorrows and distresses of this day in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for my sins and the sins of the whole world. Amen.

Now that is very simple! But it means so much because it makes everything you do, feel or think a prayer to God and St Paul tells us to pray without ceasing!

  20. Lovely comment Carolyn and so true.

My mum taught us all the morning offering as children. I still say the same one.

"Oh Jesus, through the most pure Heart of Mary, I offer you all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Thy Divine Heart and particularly for the intentions of Our Holy Father, the Pope."

We would pray for family and friends naming each member, for priests especially those we knew and for the foreign missions. The sick and the Holy Souls were remembered and then she would add "God bless Russia and all the little children 0f Russia." That's what her mum taught her. And there was always a prayer to the Little Flower and to our Guardian angel.

I have posted something like this before and tell mum that her prayers have been sent around the world. This pleases her greatly especially when I point out that her hands will be overflowing with these gifts for God.

Conchita passed on Our Lady's message that we must not have empty hands when we meet God. I think Mothers have a definite advantage here. They go through so much for their children. So much to fill their hands and to offer.

    Thanks for the memory.

Sorry Sanctus for going off thread.
