Another thing I did not know

    Today in Mass the Priest said that it was the feast of Saint Ciaran (from Roscommon apparently). He founded Clonmacnoise. I never knew that. Listening to the Priest speak about him for a bit, I realised that we have had some great Saints here. What a history. I hope we all follow them.

    Saint Ciaran spent time on and off alone in a very small hermitage in an island on a lake a half mile from where I grew up in north county Galway. Not even ruins left today but still a very beautiful and peaceful place. Saint Ciaran pray for us.
