    Thanks Sam

I have been aware of the Navan site for some time.

I must confess that looking at Our Eucharistic Lord is a very poor alternative to being before Him in person. The number of Catholics in any parish should be sufficient to have at least one Vigil of Eucharistic Adoration every month, but there is little support for such devotion.

The Eucharist is the very heart of God. I hope members try get some Eucharistic Adoration started in our churches.

    God Bless

    Here is a.
Prayer of Reparation to Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I adore Thee profoundly, O my Jesus, in Thy sacramental form; I acknowledge Thee to be true God and true Man, and by this act of adoration I intend to atone for the coldness of so many Christians who pass before Thy churches and sometimes before the very Tabernacle in which Thou art pleased to remain at all hours with loving impatience to give Thyself to Thy faithful people, and do not so much as bend the knee before Thee, and who, by their indifference proclaim that they grow weary of this heavenly manna, like the people of Israel in the wilderness. I offer Thee in reparation for this grievous negligence, the Most Precious Blood which Thou didst shed from Thy five wounds, and especially from Thy sacred Side, and entering therein, I repeat a thousand times with true recollection of spirit:

O Sacrament most holy! O Sacrament Divine!
All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

Profoundly I adore Thee, my Jesus; I acknowledge Thy Presence in the Blessed Sacrament, and by this act of adoration I intend to atone for the carelessness of so many Christians who see Thee carried to poor sick people to strengthen them for the great journey to eternity, and leave Thee unescorted, nay, who scarcely give Thee any outward marks of reverence. I offer Thee in reparation for such coldness, the Most Precious Blood which Thou didst shed from Thy five wounds and especially from Thy sacred Side, and entering therein I say again and again with my heart full of devotion:

O Sacrament most holy! O Sacrament Divine!
All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

Profoundly I adore Thee, my Jesus, true Bread of life eternal, and by my adoration I intend to compensate Thee for the many wounds which Thy Heart suffers daily in the profaning of churches where Thou art pleased to dwell beneath the sacramental veils to be adored and loved by all Thy faithful people; and in reparation for so many acts of irreverence, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood which Thou didst shed from Thy five wounds and especially from Thy sacred Side, and entering therein with recollected spirit I repeat every instant:

O Sacrament most holy! O Sacrament Divine!
All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

Profoundly I adore Thee, my Jesus, the living Bread which cometh down from Heaven, and by this act of adoration, I intend to atone for all the many acts of irreverence which are committed all the day long by Thy faithful when they assist at Holy Mass, wherein through Thine exceeding love Thou dost renew in an unbloody manner the self-same sacrifice which Thou didst once offer on Calvary for our salvation. I offer Thee in atonement for such base ingratitude the Most Precious Blood which Thou didst shed from Thy five wounds and especially from Thy sacred Side, and entering therein with sincere devotion, I unite my voice to that of the Angels who stand around Thee in adoration, saying with them:

O Sacrament most holy! O Sacrament Divine!
All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

Profoundly I adore Thee, my Jesus, true Victim of expiation for our sins, and I offer Thee this act of adoration to atone for the sacrilegious outrages Thou dost suffer from so many ungrateful Christians who dare to draw near to receive Thee with mortal sin upon their souls. In reparation for such hateful sacrileges I offer Thee the last drops of Thy Most Precious Blood, which Thou didst shed from Thy sacred wounds and especially from the wound in Thy sacred Side, and entering therein with a devout heart, I adore Thee, I bless and I love Thee, and I repeat with all the hearts who are devoted to the Blessed Sacrament:

O Sacrament most holy! O Sacrament Divine!
All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

"Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer Thee, through the compassionate Heart of Mary, the prayers, works and sufferings of this day, in reparation for the offences that are committed against Thee, and for all the intentions that Thou hast in immolating Thyself continually on the altar."

    God Bless.

Here are some more prayers of reparation to our Eucharistic Lord. :

    The Angel's Prayer

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love you. I beg Your pardon for those who do not believe, who do not adore, who do not trust and do not love You. Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, I adore You profoundly and I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended. And by the infinite merit of His Sacred Heart and of the Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners. Amen.

    ___________________________

Oh Jesus, most humble, adorable, present in the Blessed Sacrament of Your Divine Love, here on your concealed Sacred Throne, I prostate my soul and whole self before You. Out of my nothingness and sins I implore you to accept my poor prayers, acts or penance, reparation and adoration to quench your thirst
for souls and obtain full pardon for the many profanations, ungratefulness and outrages which you receive each and every moment from the countless number of miserable sinners. It was your everlasting Mercy to mankind that moved you so deeply to the point of veiling Yourself to remain in love on our altars and tabernacles allover the world.

Oh Jesus by your Soul, Body and Divinity present in the Holy Eucharist, accept the tears of my soul that these very precious souls -those who will die today, this week and until the end of time- may not loose their Eternity forever. The everlasting ages belong to You, so we entrust our total lives to your loving care and gaze now in life and death.

    Amen.

Here are webpages for some great Eucharistic songs. They are by the group 3rd day. I do not think that they are Catholics, but I would prefer hearing these songs when I am going to receive Him; these in particular are awesome praise songs. I hope you enjoy.

    MMarie,

I appreciate your thoughts! Always I believe that praise should lead into the stillness of adoration, especially the adoration before the Blessed Sacrament:

Psalm 131:1 O LORD, my heart is not lifted up, my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. 2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a child quieted at its mother's breast; like a child that is quieted is my soul.

This is a gift we should present to our Evangelical brothers and sisters. Here is a clip that speaks to this:

    http://www.charismanews.com/us/6173...ed-after-leading-audience-in-powerful-worship

    Notice the significant words:

    Away away from the noise
    alone with you
away away to hear your voice

    and meet with you
nothing else matters my one desire is to worship you...

Yet after the two-minute point on the clip, the worship is reduced to an emotional crescendo. Emotion can unfortunately become a goal in itself. If to worship would but mean to adore, then Psalm 131 would become a living reality.:notworthy::love:

Luke 1:19 But Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart.

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!

I hear your prudent call for caution, Mario. Emotionalism must not be the goal in adoration, but be at the service of the higher powers of the soul. But for myself, who am truly poor in natural sentiments of love, these heart-risings are welcome gifts!

Our parish started Adoration about a year ago from 9am to 9pm. I was really excited about it but it has turned into a place where young mothers bring their babies and toddlers with them and let them run around and eat snacks. Also, there is an older woman who whispers her prayers just loud enough to really annoy others. I have tried to "offer it up" but I just couldn't stand it anymore this afternoon and left after about 20 minutes. The chapel only seats around 30 people. I always thought Adoration was silent. Has this happened in your parish and how did you handle it? I may have to try it online-- but I feel the real thing is better if available.

Denise I would mention this to the priest who is in charge. This is not what adoration is supposed to be like at all. The adoration in my town is silent. All of the adoration chapels I have been to have been. I understand that some women may have young children, but this is just not the place for that type of behavior.
