Found this article on spiritdaily.com very interesting and worth a read: 25 secrets Jesus gave to St Faustina on battling spiritual warefre. http://catholicexchange.com/jesus-st-faustina-spiritual-warfare-25-secrets
Bless your soul Torrentum for starting this thread and equal Blessings to Fallen Saint for reviving this thread! I really needed this thread to replenish my soul....so thanks 2 you both! andree, finding a spiritual director is a tuff road.Advice I was given by Msgr Esseff (locutions to the world director but didn't know this at the time) told me .It doesn't have to be a Priest,he stated this twice and was adamant to me. he said find a pius soul you know to give spiritual direction to you. You know someone he said!....The person who came to mind showed up for first Saturday devotion to our Lady and so I asked, and he almost had a heart attack...lol .... so im still looking as well. In the mean time I rely on our Lady and the Holy Spirit for guidance
Along similar lines, I think some very good guidance here: http://catholicexchange.com/learn-preserve-inner-peace
Thanks for the advice IJoP. The good Mgr is right of course about a lay person and actually, I do have a spiritual director who is a lay person (trained). But I don't have a regular confessor and I admit that I have had confessions that have left me feeling quite sad for Our Lord and for the priests whose advice isn't always n the Spirit (if you know what I mean). I always end up praying for those priests but still, I would love to find good spiritual advice and guidance in the confessional. I'll pray that you find someone who can guide you.
