    Dear Glenn,
I have followed the garabandal messages now for 31 years. So thank you for your posts and keeping us updated on the subject.

I have many of the soul and garabandal magazines from many years and I love to reread them.

Conchita has told us that the day of the Miracle will coincide with the feast day of a holy Martyr of the Eucharist, I would like to know your thoughts on the Holy Martyr of the Eucharist.

I believe that this could possibly be on the feast day of St. Hermengild!
The Feast of St. Hermengild, Patron of Seville and Martyr of the Eucharist, is on April 13th.

In 2017, the year of the 100th Anniversary of Fatima.

April 13th is the Feast day of St. Hermengild, who was martyred for his faith in the Holy Eucharist and it will fall on Holy Thursday … the Feast of the Institution of the Holy Eucharist!

Do you believe that this speculation has any merit?

I would love to be there and have my family with me on the day of the miracle.
However, I realise that God will have us where He wants us at that time.
His power is not limited, so even if we can not afford to be there, His power at this great time will overcome all obstacles of time and space which will suffice for all His children.

    Thank you
    Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, One possible problem may be St. Hermenegild, who by most accounts was Spanish, I use this as one reference: http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=3738.
It was recorded in the " Warning and Miracle " Garabandal Magazine issue , that Conchita said "he is not a Spaniard " ,here is the reference:
MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST, NOT SPANISH
    http://www.garabandal.us/pdfs/Garabandal-Booklet.pdf
Scroll down to page 10, left column #4

I could be totally incorrect with my assumption too, wouldn't be the first time :)

  4. Glenn, many thanks for providing the source for your comment.

On the feast day of a martyr of the Eucharist. He is not a Spaniard. He has a name that is raro –unusual (at least in Spain).

The name HERMENEGILDO is not a common name in Spain, and yet it was significant enough to show up in a humble Spanish home calendar. We have to think that Garabandal was a very, very remote little village -in the sixties much more than today, accessible only by foot or cart. If that was the name it may very well have been unknown to her in real people. (I'm assuming that the comment was made when she was still a girl).

Hermenegildo is not a popular saint or a popular name in Spain. It is not a name that you meet often.

What is important about this name is that he is a very significant figure in the Spanish Church, who contributed with his life to the defense of the true faith -at a time when it was seriously threatened by heresies and by different cultures fighting to prevail in the Spanish territory. He is considered a pillar of the religious unity of the nation. So he is a saint that has survived all changes of calendars and even today he remains present in the official Spanish post Vatican II Church calendar, with a proper mention in the Divine Office etc..

Of course I might be mistaken but I don't think that the quote about being a rare, unusual name (raro) -and even foreign to Conchita- necessarily rules out that name. But who knows!

My real contention is not that his name is rare, but " he is not a Spaniard". That is what might disqualify him.

  6. My point is that the "he is not a Spaniard" statement may be just her judgement based on the fact that the name is rare/unusual. I think that this is suggested by the Spanish word "raro" kept in the English publication -as if trying to convey what Conchita was really saying.

I may be wrong, indeed, but I don't see a strong prove in that quote to the fact that he is a "non Spaniard" saint. San Hermenegildo actually was a Visigoth and thus kind of a pre-Spaniard.

Anyway, I don't mean to argue, but just to add this point of view to the picture.

I watched a video on Garabandal yesterday (The Message of Garabandal, by New York Centre) and would like to query something very odd about one of the apparitions seen by the children: Next to the Blessed Mother was a triangle with a large eye inside it. The children were led to think it was the all-seeing eye of God.

But, that is an Egyptian symbol of knowledge. The Illuminati use it constantly, which is an ancient Hebrew cult that the disobedient Israelis brought out of Egypt with them. It is an occultic symbol.

God has promised to destroy all symbols & signs of Egyptology. See Isaiah's apocalyptic chapters 24 onwards.

Now that Joey has died, her promise that he will regain sight during the warning becomes defunct also.

Now I'm beginning to think that Garabandal is a false apparition.

Although, there are countless other Catholic prophecies that highlight the warning and 3 days of darkness. See 'Prophecy for Today' by Edward Connor, 'Catholic Prophecy' by Yves Dupont, and online ebook 'Catholic Prophecies:The End Times'.

Although revelations is not chronological and there are cross references to events in other chapters, I fully believe we are at verse 6:9 and there is a set quota of martyr's blood to fill God's cup before his wrath, the 3 Days of Darkness referred to in 6:12 http://biblehub.com/revelation/6-12.htm Note the many cross-references to the 3 days down the right side of that web page.

The countless and IGNORED slaughtered Orthodox Christians in the Middle East today are being counted by God. There is a set number: 'until the number was filled of their fellow servants and brothers who were going to be killed as they had been' Rev 6:11. They are blessed martyrs. They go to heaven immediately. The fate of other Christians is not so sure.

    After that God's wrath.

The Blessed Mother appearing to Pedro Regis at Anguera, Brazil has foretold a warning also. A bright cross of light in the sky that all will see. Then worldwide calamities and chastistements: wars and acts of God.

Isaiah predicts something like the earth flipping over on its axis ; as does the apparition at Anguera, along with a comet or asteroid being drawn to the altered magnetic field of the poles. The 'powers of heaven will be shaken', meaning the occultic evil powers of astrology and satanism of Illuminati will become defunct as the stars will not be in their usual positions. God has promised to destroy all the wicked and their evil cult. But times are difficult for all Christians. A Purgatory on earth, if we remain faithful to the end.

And as I've been reminded (very strongly stated recently in LTTW  ), to God the Church is only One and includes the Jews as in the Old Testament, as well as our visible Church today. They dropped off twisting God's Plan, but as St. Paul says in Scripture, their return will be and inconceivable blessing for humanity.

To God the church is only One and includes Jews?

    Who told you that?

Jews have to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Messiah to be saved, as do all other people. Then they are Christians, not Jews practicing Mosaic Law.

That's what the New Covenant is all about: Christ's covenant of Mercy. Jews follow Mosaic Law which is impossible to fulfill today as they don't have a temple and the Ark of the Covenant is missing. They don't sacrifice animals to put on the altar of the temple. And Mosaic Laws are so fastidiously impossible to follow today. How are they saved if they don't accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah?

That is a lie of the pagan ecumenical movement which is trying to bring in a One World Religion, where Christians have to DENY that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be saved.

    Dearest Glenn,

I am not very good at articulating what my heart is trying to say and sometimes I believe that I have explained things perfectly well but when I look back,

‘I go, agrrrh......... how is anyone expected to know what I meant by that gobbledegook?'

However here I am again trying to explain what I believe may be one of the ways of looking at the sudden and mystifying death of Joey Lomingino to the believers of Garabandal.

Whilst mediating on his death and also the implications that this leaves everyone with. I am struck by three things.

    Number 1)

I remember a homily given by my very holy parish priest Father O’Hallaran. It was about the prophet Jonah who incorrectly prophesied the destruction of Nineveh. Jonah himself was angry with God because God did not destroy Nineveh as God had told Jonah he would. Now Jonah looked like a fraud because his prophesy did not come to pass.

My wonderful Parish priest stated that God sent his prophet Jonah to the city of Nineveh, the capital of Assyria (one of ancient Israel's fiercest enemies), Jonah's initial message seems to be one of inevitable doom: "Forty days more, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!" (3:1-4)

Contrary to Jonah's own expectations, however, the Ninevites respond to his preaching by believing in God, proclaiming a fast, covering themselves with sackcloth and ashes as signs of repentance, and praying to God not to destroy them. (3:5-9)

As a result, God changes his mind and does not destroy the city of Nineveh after all. (3:10)

This turn of events does not please Jonah, since he had been looking forward to the destruction of the capital city of this great enemy empire! So God tries to teach Jonah further that God is more interested in mercy and forgiveness than in punishment and destruction! (4:1-11)

    Number 2)

Our Holy Mother herself at Garabandal tells us that the chastisement itself can be mitigated by prayers and sacrifice. The chastisement is conditional on mans response to her message!

What can we learn from these storys?

When prophets speak about the future, they are not predicting an inevitable, unalterable future!
Rather, they are warning people about a possible future that might come upon them if they continue in their evil ways and do not turn back to God.

But if the people do listen to the prophet's message and react appropriately, with prayer, repentance, and faithfulness to God, then the future will look very different than what the prophet has foretold!

Therefore God, through our lady, Jonah or other prophets tells us that the state of the world, is conditional on our response to His requests.

Otherwise why would they give these prophesies?

    Number 3)

    Take Joeys life and prayer.

He was a very humble and devoted man and he became very close to God and followed in our Lords footsteps.

I love the Gospel of St John and also the Epistle to the Hebrews. They really speak to me.

    In Hebrews we see our Lord Jesus as God, yet married so perfectly, with the wisdom of Hebrews, to His role as a man, and we read that;

Hebrew's 7) During his life on earth, he offered up prayer and entreaty, with loud cries and with tears, to the one who had the power to save him from death yet He submitting so humbly His prayer was heard!

Our Lord has shown us that in humility all that we can expect or may expect to happen, can be changed according to our submission to God’s Will. Our desire for God’s desire, will result in the ultimate good.

    If Joey had offered up prayer and entreaty, with loud cries and with tears, singing God’s praises and humbly accepting his sufferings;

Who is to say that God in His infinite wisdom and love did not accept this offering of Joeys and take him to Heaven before Joey experienced the wonderful and awesome feeling that receiving his sight would have given him?

We are here just pondering the marvels of God and His individual love and compassion for all.

And we also ponder the holiness of those saints, that are so humble, that they can move the hand of God.

Praise be God in all His Angels and Saints. Amen

Josephite, thank you for your thoughts on God's will and Joey's passing. You make an excellent point about Joey's prayers. Joey suffered greatly for the last two years of his life especially. Most did not know (besides being blind ) he was almost deaf, and in a weakened condition from several heart attacks. So much so that even he could not attend mass. I had several thoughts came to my mind when this happened too.

My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, So are My ways exalted above your ways, And My thoughts above your thoughts. (Is. 55: 8-9)

Oh, the depth of the riches Of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How imcomprehensdible are His judgments, And how unsearchable His ways. (Rom. 11:33)

Most people did not know that Joey suffered greatly the last two years of his life, and in addition to being blind, he was so weak from several heart attacks, he could not attend mass. So, Did Joey fulfill saying the prayers he was supposed to say each day , to fulfill the prophecy to regain his sight ?
    Mary said :

"Joey do you want to see again?"
    "Yes."
"Then you pray. Say 17 Hail Mary’s, 7 Acts of Contrition, 5 Our Father’s ,

3 times a day. “ I know the last 2 years of his life , he suffered greatly, he had several heart attacks. I am wondering if Joey ( in the midst of all his recent sufferings) wasn’t able to complete that or that he asked to be taken to Heaven early ?

Conchita & Jesus comment on belief of Garabandal
Conchita, diary jp204, 1966: He [Jesus] replied..."I want to tell you, Conchita, that before the miracle occurs, you will suffer much, for few people will believe you. Your own family will believe that you have deceived them. I am the one who wants all this, as I have already told you, for your sanctification and so that the world may comply with the message. I wish to advise you that the remainder of your life will be a continual suffering. Do not be freightened. In your suffering you will find me and also Mary whom you love very much... I will be with whoever suffers for me."

On December 6, 1962,Conchita had a 90 minute ecstasy around 5:30 in the afternoon after which, she provided two more pieces of information regarding the Miracle: 1) One day, before the Miracle, something will happen that will cause many people to stop believing in the apparitions of Garabandal. The doubts and desertions will not be due to an excessive delay of the Miracle.

Don't forget what happened with St. Faustina Kowalska!! Jesus promise St. Faustina she would assist to the institution of the Feast of Divine Mercy!! St. Faustina died in 1938!! And the Feast of Divine Mercy was institued in 2000!!
She has assisted to the institution of the Feast!! But from the Heaven!

I spoke to Conchita and she too had no fears, stating she was happy Joey was in heaven with our Blessed Mother & Padre Pio. I have a strong suspicion we will be shocked and amazed at the Miracle ( and who is there, and our questions will be answered ). God bless. Glenn

Father Bill Halbing has an excellent youtube video on how Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is very powerful in spiritual warfare. He connects prophet Elijas's victory to the Blessed Mother's modern victory over the devil and his tactics. Remember at Garabandal the girls heard a diabolic noise during a vision but the Blessed Mother (correct me if I'm wrong) had them pay no mind and the noise silenced. Our Lady will crush the serpent's head. Garabandal has been so attacked because the devil does not want people to know about it but Jesus has given us enough time to spread the Message.

I have watched this video when Glenn has posted it in the past and I watched it again this morning. Conchita is so genuine in my opinion it is remarkable but I suppose that is exactly why God chose her for this immense responsibility.
The reason why I am posting is that when I watched the video this morning another related video which I had never seen popped up immediately after it which I am in the process of watching. I think those who are interested in Garabandal may find the first few minutes very interesting because Mari Loli confirms that Warning and the Miracle are within 12 months of each other but not necessarily in the same year.

    Q. You have said that you know the year of the Warning. Can you tell us if it will occur in the next few years or is it still in the distant future?
    A. No. I can't say anything.
    Q. Did the Blessed Mother tell you not to speak about the Warning?
    A. No, she didn't , but, because the Warning and the Miracle are within the same year, I feel it inside not to say anything.
    Q. How do you know the Warning and the Miracle are within the same year"
    A. During an apparition-I don't remember just when- the Blessed Virgin told me.
