Obama is increasingly using Executive orders to get legislation passed.

He hinted during the week that he might use this again to usher in tough gun controls. In this regard he is beginning to sound like Piers Morgan! He will need law enforcement to carry this through but there will be resistance from NRA and other groups who support the 2nd amendment with potential for civil conflict.

Here's an overview of the crisis at the US/Mexican border:

    http://www.patheos.com/blogs/public...rossing-the-border-illegally-figuring-it-out/

Just the latest headlines from the crisis at the US/Mexico border:

UPDATE: MEXICOGUATEMALA FAST-TRACK DELIVERY OF ILLEGALS TO USA...
    RAFT RIDES FOR $1.30...
TSA ALLOWING ILLEGALS ON PLANES WITHOUT ID...
GANGS USE PROCESSING CENTER AS RECRUITMENT HUB...
Sheriff Joe: My Tents Are Hotels Compared to What's Going On at Camps...
    Border Agent Catches Bacterial Pneumonia...

Texas and U.S. congressman and senators have been denied access to see what's going on down there, but there is a massive influx of immigrants, many are children sent by their parents alone, because word is out that Obama won't send anyone out, and will let families come in to re-unite with children. Last count of unattended children that I read was 35,000. The border patrol agents are being used as baby sitters, and there is the perfect brew for epidemics of contagious diseases. Drug members are infiltrating through with the masses, and possibly terrorists. The government is calling on the churches to help care for these people.

My knee-jerk reaction is that this is crazy - no country in the world allows any and all across their borders. But I'm hearing something different in prayer.

    1. These people might be sent here by the Lord to escape some huge disaster ahead of time.
    2. This feels to me like the beginning of the chastisement of the U.S. The sheer volume of people is enough to cripple the economy and the government, and the ensuing disease would serve as a chastisement as well.

The last thing I want to do is resist the hand of the Lord. Please join me in prayer, that the people of the U.S., especially the people of faith, will respond to this crisis after God's own heart.

The unstoppable Obama strikes again, with his pen...
    July 21, 2014
WASHINGTON–The bishop-Chairmen of two USCCB Committees responded with great concern to President Obama’s July 21 executive order to prohibit federal government contractors from what the Administration deems “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” discrimination and to forbid “gender identity” discrimination in the employment of federal employees. The problems the bishops identify in the order relate both to the flaws in its core prohibitions, and to its lack of religious freedom protection.

Two USCCB Chairmen – Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty and Bishop Richard J. Malone of Buffalo, Chairman of the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth – together issued the following statement.

Today’s executive order is unprecedented and extreme and should be opposed.

In the name of forbidding discrimination, this order implements discrimination. With the stroke of a pen, it lends the economic power of the federal government to a deeply flawed understanding of human sexuality, to which faithful Catholics and many other people of faith will not assent. As a result, the order will exclude federal contractors precisely on the basis of their religious beliefs... (read the rest here:

I read the letter from the Bishops. So moderate and well thoguht out. Yet beneath filled with the most burning urgency. So sad that Catholics are voting for the very people who will oppress them.

Yet perhaps these people who plot these things in power may have outreached themselves. I have the sense that ordianry decent Americans will only take so much.

Reilgious Freedoms are surely the most fundamental off all and Amreicans are just so freedom loving. Perhaps these peol, eare tripping themselves uP/

In any case, prayers fro your President and those in power.

Personally I would LOVE to be sent to prison for the Name of Christ. What an honour!

But perhaps this is selfish, perhaps Jeus needs folks out ont the streets wrestling with this stuff, not in jails

May the Church's leaders give us leadership and courage. I have to take my hat off to the American Bishops. Good straight fighting talk.

Hopefully Pope Francis may fire a shot or two.

When the Abbot was showing me around the Monastery for the first time Bobby I commented how like it was to prison. He was none too pleased. But I pointed out that in a monastery my room is called a cell and in prison a cell, in prison it was all men and in orsisons too, the monastery was surrounded by wall and so was prison, the monastery had a Abbot, the prison a Governeor. The prsion had strcit rules and so too the monastery. THe only difference was the prison food was very, very, very much better.

Lots of time for prayer in a prison and chances to convert others. If you got on a role like St Patrick with the pagans could you imagine converting the whole prison, then you would have a monastery with good food.

Once again shows the disingenuous nature of Obama and btw Pelosi. Just last week, they begged the US Catholic Church to help take in as refugees all the children streaming across the southern border. Pelosi even had the audacity to quote the USCCB. But now, they want Catholic institutions to hire people who look like men, but say they are women, and provide facilities for them in a ladies room or locker. Insane! I think the Church and we as members need to no longer accept any federal aid and then we are not beholden to this type of nonsense. Yes, it means we need to dig deeper into out pockets fir funding, but we can then be true to our believes without this nonsensical government interference. Give to Caesar what is Caesars and to a God what is God's

A protestant sect called the Moravians at one point sold themselves into slavery to have access to evangelize the slaves!

Rick Joiner, a protestant prophet, says, "If I find myself imprisoned for my faith, I'll rejoice, because it means I've been promoted to prison ministry!"

They have their holy ones, but what a pity they don't recognize, or even know about, the rich example of the Saints. It gives me hope that some of them are beginning to talk about the cloud of witnesses as a source of help. Those who've been imprisoned and martyred for the faith are our greatest champions in this hour. I imagine them all joyfully urging us on.

Sorry that I'm posting this and warning to all who can't stand disingenuous politicians as it may cause your BP to rise!

This woman just so audacious to make these comments. Where is she on the abortion issue? She does not quote the USCCB on that issue. But even beyond that if she knew her Bible she would know that Mary and Josrph needed to flee with Jesus into Egypt to save his live from the slaughter of the Innocents by Herod. It's just do frustrating at tines. I guess all we can do is pray for her.

Bishop Malone certainly does not pull any punches. He recently publicly confronted a local politician who flip-flopped on the abortion issue. It was the first time I can recall seeing a Bishop take such an aggressive stance, and I was pleasantly surprised. I want a shepherd that is willing to fight for his flock!

I also know the politician at issue, having attended the same high school as him years ago. He is actually a decent (if misguided) young man that works hard for his constituents. I pray that he learns something from this and starts putting faith before politics.

Here is a link to a Crisis Magazine article about the good Bishop's actions:

Pray for Nancy Pelosi. Her soul is in grave danger as she carries much more responsibility being a political leader and she is certainly leading the flock astray.

She is on my heart and in my prayers. Not long ago, a reporter asked how she could be such a militant proponent of abortion, she cut him off, saying, "This is holy ground for me."

The last I heard, she attends daily Mass! When I read messages from Saints and mystics who relate how repulsive it is for Jesus to enter souls who are not in a state of grace, she comes to mind, and I shudder.

Is it just me or does Nancy seem really air-headed? When I hear her speak or see her I just have to wonder if she is a follower instead of a leader and if she is just a willing pawn of the higher, darker order in Washington. I really think she seems completely confused when she gets backlash from Catholics about her stance on abortion amongst other things. o_O It's like she just really thinks her views are just fine with the Church! Either she's a complete idiot or she has such spiritual blindness she cannot comprehend it....
