    CD,
Absolutely correct. Jesus Christ should be first and foremost for all of us; before any clergyman, any politician, any single person on this Earth. Jesus I trust in you!

I apologize that my martyr picture seems to have disappeared from my other post. Here is another try....

The Face of the New Church of "Mercy"
    by Christopher A. Ferrara

As Life Site News reports, Bishop Franz-Josef Bode (pictured above), who is no less than Vice President of the German Bishops’ Conference, “has called for a discussion about the possibility of blessing homosexual relationships. He believes there to be ‘much [that is] positive’ in such relationships.”

This was, of course, inevitable as an outcome of the manipulated Phony Synod on the Family, whose “midterm report,” concocted without the actual participation of the Synod Fathers and published to the world before they had even read it, called for “accepting and valuing [homosexuals’] sexual orientation,” declared that “homosexual unions” offer “precious support for the partners” and stressed the “positive aspects” of civil “remarriage” following divorce and simple cohabitation, while admitting the divorced and “remarried” to Holy Communion on a “case-by-case” basis. Even after rejection of these outrageous propositions, which failed to receive the requisite 2/3 majority of the Synod Fathers, Francis ordered them included in the acts of the Phony Synod for its second session in October 2015.

And now this prelate in the grip of lunacy — there is no other word for it — seriously proposes that the Church give her blessing to people who habitually engage in sodomy. Just look at the man and then recall Sister Lucia’s repeated reference to “diabolical disorientation” among the members of the hierarchy, which is undoubtedly a focus of the integral Third Secret of Fatima.

But diabolical disorientation is the most charitable explanation for Bode’s advocacy of such an abominable evil. Indeed, how does one reasonably avoid the conclusion that he is a knowing agent of ecclesial destruction, bent on eliminating any vestige of the authentic Catholic Faith? With good reason does Mathias von Gersdorff, a prominent German pro-life activist and author cited by Life Site News, observe on his blog that “The German progressivism does not wish a few things changed here and there, but it wishes to scrap the whole of Catholic teaching and to create a fundamentally new religion.” Bode’s suggestion that sodomitical unions receive the Church’s blessing signals an attempt to “introduce a new phase of destruction.” It would be Luther’s revenge, although even Luther would find it horrifying.

It should now be perfectly clear even to the most determined “normalists” that we are witnessing an eruption to the surface of the deepest forms of ecclesial corruption, and that this eruption has been unleashed through the mouth of the volcano that is “this disastrous papacy” and the ever-widening fissure in the human element of the Church that is Amoris Laetitia. When high-ranking prelates call for the blessing of sodomy, and the Pope does nothing to correct them but rather has opened the way to their audacious promotion of the most radical evil, how much longer can the hand of God be stayed?

I recall yet again the words of Our Lady of Akita, whose message Cardinal Ratzinger described as essentially the same as the Message of Fatima:

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres… churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

  3. Julia

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

To think Our Lady at Garabandal told the children about the Bishops against Bishops and Cardinals against Cardinals and confusion in the Church. We just did not grasp her message. She repeated it in Akita, and finally at Medjugorje simply asks us to pray for our Priests and Bishops. Of course Cardinals are after all bishops as well.

It seems Sister Lucy was telling us the same thing in other ways and of course Father Stefan Gobbi. I confess to simply not understanding what the messengers were telling us. I had no concept of holy men betraying Our Lord in their ministries. It was almost like hearing a Mickey Mouse story, it could not possibly be a true story. But it is a true story, we are seeing it unfold before our eyes.

Our job is to 'Keep Watch and Pray.' Unless God Personally calls us to proclaim on His behalf; that is how I see it.

I feel comforted by Mirjana from Medjugorje saying she could see signs of the beginning of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I pray this unmasking of many traitors to the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the clean out and we can soon be relieved to see the beginnings of the 'New Springtime' Saint John Paul talked about.

It is a Crucifixion in anticipation to see such treachery in the very heart of Holy Mother Church unfold. It must have been brewing for years, and all the time I used to think Priests, Bishops and Cardinals were other Jesus's who could do no wrong. Tears would not relieve the pain this all causes me, only God Himself can restore my weary spirit.

Jesus, I trust in You. Save souls, save the consecrated.

    Pope John Paul II
We are witnessing the emergence of a new culture, largely influenced by the mass media, whose content and character are often in conflict with the Gospel and the dignity of the human person. This culture is also marked by an widespread and growing religious agnosticism, connected to a more profound moral and legal relativism rooted in confusion regarding the truth about man as the basis of the inalienable rights of all human beings. At times the signs of a weakening of hope are evident in disturbing forms of what might be called a “culture of death".

    St. John Eudes
The most fearsome punishment Christ can inflict on His Church is unfaithful shepherds; churchmen who seek to destroy the Church. Our Lord is thoroughly disgusted with the treachery of the bishops and He is now pouring out His wrath upon the Church; on these churchmen who would prostitute the Bride of Christ to the world, the flesh and the devil.

What is happening is worse that a world war; we are seeing, before our eyes, Christ punishing His Church for the infidelity, the cowardice of the men who should be His Apostles.

Saint John Eudes was unfamiliar to me until now. This prophetic saint was, according to 'wikipaedia', very devoted to Our Lord's Sacred Heart and Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. There is also supposed to be a strong campaign to make him a Doctor of The Church (wouldn't put much money on him at the moment).

As for that lunatic bishop, that appears to be a polar bear upon his head. Don't you know, global warming is the new priority? Polar bears must be saved, to hell with souls. That bishop would make a fine feed for a polar bear-a feast for a polar bear's adipose reserves. A wolf is no match for a polar bear-it wouldn't bode well for him.

I think we flatter these sons of satan by ascribing their sins to a 'new culture'. Their's is nothing but a complete negation of the good. They just pick out those issues that are most manifestly good and subvert them. It is so much easier to destroy than to create. There isn't an original thought to be found among them.

David, it is good to hear some contemporary music that is not part of the progressivist assault. If you like Gospel/Christian music, have you heard any of Bob Dylan's recent release, Trouble No More (I wrote a brief introduction in the Music forum)? It includes versions of a song, 'Dead Man, Dead Man', with a similar theme to the one above.

Note that Pope Francis labelled some of those protesting against clerical child abuse as 'lefties and stupid', hence their retort 'neither lefties nor stupid'. Where was the 'mercy'?

It is significant that the report above is from the BBC. Is Francis beginning to lose the support of the liberal media?

Even at the BBC there is some sense of decency and commitment to truth left, which cant be said about some in the Vatican these days.

So much for marriage preparation and the sacrament of penance before one gets married. Set's the tone for other clergy to do as much.

Pope marries flight attendants on papal plane in Chile

The couple were unable to marry sacramentally after their church was destroyed in an earthquake

Pope Francis has celebrated the first-ever airborne papal wedding, marrying two flight attendants from Chile’s flagship airline during a flight from Santiago.

Bride Paola Podesta and groom Carlos Ciuffardi said “I do” Thursday morning after telling Francis that they had been married in a civil service in 2010. However they said they were unable to follow up with a church ceremony because of the 2010 earthquake that hit Chile.

Francis then offered to marry the LATAM flight attendants aboard the aircraft en route to the northern city of Iquique, and they both readily agreed. The head of the airline served as the witness.

Ciuffardi told journalists in the aisle of the Airbus 321 that Francis told him it was, “historic” and no pope had ever before married a couple aboard a plane.

When will he run out of gimmicks? They couldn't find a priest to marry them in seven years? I'll bet they found a hospital to deliver their child and very likely a priest to baptise that child. Then again, if they couldn't be bothered getting married properly until some friend of the Pope was seeking an opportunity for yet another publicity stunt, maybe it will take another papal flight to have the child christened.

I suppose we should be relieved that it was a heterosexual marriage and neither of them is already in a valid marriage to another person.

I have no problem with this! It's great PR and the couple have been married for 7+ years with two children.
Civil marriages are, in fact, valid marriages as the marriage pact is a personal "contract" between a Man and Woman. The Church and/or State just blesses the Union/Contract that the couple has made. Some countries/states require a civil ceremony. If the Church chooses to not bless the union it is still legally valid elsewhere. Some States still recognise Common Law Marriage where there is no ceremony.
This is my long understanding and please correct me if wrong.

Yes, you are correct if you are stating that the marriage is a valid civil marriage. It is not a valid marriage in the eye's of God, as their vows were to unit to the world laws, not God's. That is why a couple who were previously married then divorced outside the Church can marry inside the Church without an annulment.

You are trying to confuse us in this case, Fatima. There is no indication of divorce & remarriage in this particular situation. Divorce & remarriage is for another thread!
