I have no idea. Heaven can be mysterious to us human beings.... But good that you remind me that "bishop" was mentioned and not "Pope". That could be Benedictus... who knows. Future will tell us. In meantime: I watch and I pray to stay on the right path.
When I am in prayer later, I will try say a prayer for you. I will ask God to give you and your family strenght leading to peace. May your struggles bring your family closer and ultimately deeper in love with God. I think whatever your son's struggles, he is blessed to have a mother who knows God is real. And I am sorry if I was harsh in trying to point out to you the importance of our thoughts. If a thought is harmful to you or to anyone, rebuke it in the name of Jesus. I remember over hearing my own family members discussing things about me which were not true. To this day, I don't think they are aware that I heard them. We must watch all our thoughts and all the words we speak. One word has the power to bring someone down. Considering you are aware that your daughter has the same suspicion, then I presumed you must have openly spoke to each other about it. Anyway, keep praying for your son and God will one day answer your prayers. May God bless you.
Excellent. But it makes me so very, very sad. Only the direct action of God can save us now. God and God alone. He's done it in the past and He'll do it again. It's God's Church and He'll just have to take care of it Himself. I know He will, but forgive my impatience, Lord. I know you are a God we cannot hurry.
"...and if you look at what the Argentine bishops wrote in their directive, you can interpret this in an orthodox way." -Cardinal Gerhard Müller http://www.ncregister.com/daily-news/cardinal-mller-discusses-the-cdf-the-curia-and-amoris-laetitia
You "can" doesn't mean it is the only possible interpretation. That's the main problem with the ridiculous, divisive AL. It can be interpreted any which way and apparently it was deliberately written with that intention. Fair dues to Cardinal Muller for having the measure of that joke of an Arbishop "Heal me with your Mouth" Fernandez. He also showed up the likes of Fr. Spadaro who would have everyone believe that Pope Francis is the Holy Spirit come in the flesh. What are they but petty little tattle tales and gossips. They wouldn't be tolerated in the shool playground and shouldn't be tolerated in the Vatican. This entire papacy is a farce. The incumbent is a joke surrounded by court jesters. The sooner the better we see the back of the lot of them and their rubbish documents.
I have dealt with liberal priests and bishops in my diocese long enough decades to know how they interpret. Human nature will always choose that which is easy and convenient, as it all started this way in the Garden of Eden. Fallen human nature desires the easy way as it wants to be 'like God'. It wants to pander to the populist view. In things that matter, such as faith and morals, if the slightest appeasement is granted it quickly spirals out of control and you loose the very structure that kept the foundation of faith strong. One example of this is, prior to VatII, fire in brimstone was preached and today 84% of Catholics no longer believe in hell of the devil, because neither hell or Satan is spoken of.
Fatima, you must have a very great love of the Church to hang on so many years in a Parish situation such as this. I imagine that you are made of greatly forged steel to withstand it. I pray for all our Priests but I am going to start saying prayers especially for those in your Parish. God bless and keep you.
From Dan Hitchins, Deputy Editor of the Catholic Herald: http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/com...pes-dramatic-and-confusing-move-on-communion/
Don, thanks for your prayers for my local parish. Some have asked me why I stay and I tell them, cause it is my parish and if I am not there to pray and fight for it to stay orthodox, who will? I go to confession an hour a way at the cathedral church and to mass on most important holy days, especially during Lent, at other at another church, because I cannot stomach going to my church during these holiest of days with all the multicultural things that occur there (like Aztec dancers pouncing in between the pews of church at the loud beat of drums, in 1/2 naked bodies, for 15 minutes before mass) . My pastor declared publicly in the local newspaper that it was a sanctuary church for immigrants, so you can know by this that it is a church with pastors that believe in social justice first and orthodoxy is secondary and I am certain their liturgy would be way different if I was not there to report to the diocese wrongful things in the liturgy, such as recently the organist dressed up like the virgin Mary and read and performed a social justice skit for 25 minutes, in place of the homily, in something our pastor wrote on the plight of the immigrant through eyes of Mary. After my letter to the diocese he was rebuked by the vicar of clergy and said it was a "imprudent decision that would not happen again". Generally speaking the mass is said correctly and it is a beautiful church, its just that all the faithful orthodox priests end up in other parishes.
So interesting . Michael Voris seems to have ended his somewhat , 'Hands off', attitude on goings on re Amoris Laetitia. He is by no means swimming in deep waters but he does seem to have taken a certain plunge, bless him.
Well, Cardinal Mueller is coming around, hopefully. https://www.churchmilitant.com/news...-says-his-departure-from-cdf-was-orchestrated
Pope Benedict? Maybe it is all a spiritual meaning. Pope Benedict today may be the Bishop witnessing the internal persecution and spiritual death of priests and Cardinals, who have stood strongly against the destruction of the magisterium. Come to think of it there have been actual deaths.
There is a lot of this I feel uncomfortable with. Take this forum which is a small Catholic community in miniature. Say we started to gossip about each other, say nasty things publically, form cliques, be spiteful and nasty in remarks, have funny dealings with money , engage in very questionable sexual going son and relations and so. How long would we last? Yet the Vatican appears full of it. I find it deeply disturbing that we find this at the very highest levels, at the very centre of the Church. We are all sinners of course. On the forum for instance we , any of us make mistakes and can hurt one another. But not at the...well the massive level that seems to be going on in the Vatican. Even Cardinal Muller himself. He seems a very good sincere man, but dragging all this dirty linen in the public. It reminds me of myself when I was a teenager. But teenagers are teenagers, these are well grown men. Intellectuals our Spiritual Leaders ; it does not exactly inspire trust does it? So sad. All I can say I am glad I do not live there. It must be horrible.
God bless you Fatima. You are a stalwart warrior to stick it out. As St Paul says, you are standing your ground in the evil day!
And most have noticed that the current Pope from the beginning has mostly referred to himself as only "a bishop among bishops". He seems to need the advice from his selected group of "progressive" Cardinals/Bishops and then reluctant to "wield the key" of the Papacy which is necessary if he is to answer the Dubia and be clearer in his teachings as Peter's successor. Seems to stay in some kind of middle point....not saying "yes when you mean yes; no when you mean no"...and of course the rest is from you know who! And I believe that he even alluded to himself, when in Fatima, as "a bishop dressed in white", acknowledging at least what was given to the children within their visions! Just a superficial covering in order to acknowledge some kind of link to the mystical himself? Difficult to know.
