The Michelle Obama public library in Long Beach, California, has presented to children who are part of its young readers program a huge array of diversity and “inclusion” agendas.

    In one shot.

It was when Xochi Mochi arrived for a visit.

    That made the program pro-LGBTQ.

    And transgender.

    And drag queen-friendly.

    And Satanist-approved, with the character’s red-tipped, demon-like horns.

All to read to children for LGBTQ History Month.

It happened at the Obama library for the “Drag Queen Story Hour,” a part of a collaboration between the LBPL, the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, the Genders and Sexualities Alliance Network and the LGBTQ nonprofit Imperial Court of Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Public Library’s calendar.

Funny you posted that pic Padraig.
I consider myself a bit of a Trekkie.
I have just been watching the new series on Netflix and have decided I will no longer watch any further episodes. The new series has a couple of the main characters in a Homosexual relationship.
I've had enough of normalizing that crap.

I find myself Mac simply using utube and typing in the word, 'Catholic'..or maybe 'Orthodox' and watching what I pick when the selection shows up. being very choosy. if we are what we eat , it must be even more true about what we watch and hear. Thank God I tossed the TV out years ago.

I loved Star Trek true. Also Science Fiction in general, but it has a generally a very, very anti religious bias. I don;t choose as such to do certain things really, it is just that so many things now literally disgust me. My blood pressure will go so high I might well explode like a tin of baked beans.:D:D

Thank you Jesus that I have not lost my sense of evil. Thank you Mary I can still get outraged. This stuff is so much a part of modern culture it seeps into you like some noxious poisonous cloud.

It reminds me of St Paul's words, 'Come out from amongst them'.

I bet those kids will have nightmares. Blatant child abuse, in broad daylight, in a public library. Unbelievable.

    Yes th
Yes the Diabolical is openly apparent. It is amazing that everyone, the library staff included cannot see this. It would make your hair stand on end. It reminds me of the fairy tales of the children who wandered into the woods and met a witch there.

What parent in their right mind would bring their children to an event such as this?

Parents who have either forsaken the truth or who have never known it.

As an aside, my children would have been fighting tooth and nail to get out of anyplace containing a person such as this. They didn't like clowns, nevermind this monstrosity.

Worse, I know few adults who would not stop/shudder and turn around! Looks like a super creepy clown.
No kidding, this is creepy and wrong on different levels!! It's not even Halloween, though these kids are far too young for this level of wrong. I am grateful this violates my sense of everything right.

My apologies, I previously suggested it was not Halloween. Clearly it is very recent photo and the kids appear dressed for Halloween. That does not take away from the sense of evil portrayed acceptable; that being the presence of "killer Klown" as he calls himself.
This is copied from the above sited link:

The Long Beach Library posted the disturbing photograph of the devil-dressed transgender man on Twitter and Facebook, but it removed the photos after massive public backlash.

Libraries generally close at 5 or 6 p.m. But when WND called the Long Beach Public Library for comment at 2 p.m. Pacific Time, an answering machine said the facility was closed.

Long Beach GOP congressional candidate Omar Navarro, who is looking to unseat Waters, says he’s “outraged” with the children’s library.

“What are we teaching kids in school? Demonic teachings alive in Long Beach. I’m outraged they would allow this,” Navarro tweeted.

WND reported only a few weeks ago how the U.S. entertainment industry was entrenched with devil worshipers who are actively working to promote and normalize satanism in American culture.

That warning came from experts of the “spirit world.”

Karl Payne, author of “Spiritual Warfare: Christians, Demonization and Deliverance,” told WND the entertainment industry is largely to blame for a clear rise in demand for exorcisms.

Hollywood and the media, he said, are programming the public to not only become more secular, but they are desensitizing society to evil.

“All you have to do is turn on your television or head over to the movies, and you are going to see something in your home or something on the big screen that glorifies the occult, glorifies Spiritism, glorifies demonism,” said Payne, who is also pastor of Leadership Development and Christian Education at Antioch Bible Church and the former chaplain of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks.

He continued: “If you have more and more people who are watching programming on demonism, on Spiritism, on occultism, on Satanism, you are going to have growing number of people who get scared.

“The Bible, in particular the New Testament, is not bashful about the reality of the devil and demons. They do not talk about them metaphorically or allegorically. They very clearly say they were real. They spoke, and they controlled people.”

Horrible, truly horrible. This is being touted as a "good" thing for children to accept this insanity. This is an example of the spread of communism our Lady speaks of in Fatima. The political aim of communism may have hidden behind a rock when the Soviet Union decided it was not making inroads as speedily as it ought; and it's twin, cultural Marxism took over.

This man dressed as a woman, who is dressed as a demon is apparently a "good" role model for children, therefore, in order to acculturate children to this new reality, these people, who generally dress like this for a Pride Parade, are invited to a public forum to meet and greet small children. Doing away with the normal sexual norms and adopting a fluid acceptance of gender, is another way to destroy the family and its members. What LGTB activists do not share is that suicide is extremely high among this population. These individuals deserve our love and our prayers, but not the acceptance of their illusions.

    Most likely.

Having worked in academic libraries for over forty years as a librarian, I can tell you this is indeed a very new and destructive development. Libraries like schools and all other public cultural centers are assuming the role that the progressive activists for LGTB and the Left allow us to take. Why? Funding, and it is the political norm to be "pro-LGTB." Also, the culture is more accepting of those with gender issues, and pressure is placed on libraries and its staff to be more inclusive. In academic libraries this pressure comes from accrediting agencies. Libraries were once a place to follow scholarly pursuits, and generally a safe place where you could bring your children. Once, you could take the children to the Children's collection and be assured that the books there were wholesome works of children's literature. Not anymore. The trend now is to include every unmentionable topic in children's literature. I share this short article:

The Corruption of Children's Literature (Even in Catholic Schools)
    http://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/view.cfm?recnum=487

Now that libraries have been infested by cultural Marxism, they must accommodate the current madness, i.e. disorder, and staff members who disagree had better have a letter of resignation ready. Or, leave the field. I left the field.

It seems to me that it is rapidly becoming the case that there is no "safe" field left to go to and that leaving one field of work for another is only a matter of kicking the can further down the road. They are coming at us from every direction and eventually it will be a case of nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide :(.

Yes, it has indeed gotten much worse and it is more widespread, particularly in the social sciences. Let me add, that I loved librarianship, the way we had been, but since the field turned to the dark side, under the Clinton administration, when the progressive left and political activism became the driving norm, I could not stand it. I got physically sick, my health failed, so I left.

    EWTN Catholic Q&A
    halloween words
    Question from curious on 10-08-2006:

Do you know where the words "hocus pocus" came from?

James asked on10/7/2006: Once I heard that the Halloween's Hocus Pocus was intended to be a derision or mockery to the Holy Eucharist. I would like to verify if this is so, thanks. Fr Serpa of Catholic Answers (apologetics forum) answered on 10/7/2006: Hi James, "Hocus Pocus" was a derisive characterzation of the latin form of the words of consecration of the Mass:"Hoc est enim Corpus meum" (This is my Body).

However this word detective website http://www.word-detective.com/121800.html posts the following Q&A:

Dear Word Detective: A friend and I were recently discussing two of the most overused phrases associated with stage magic: "hocus pocus" and "abracadabra." He says he's read (in the "Annotated Wizard of Oz") that "hocus pocus" was derived from the Latin phrase "hoc est corpus meum" meaning "this is my body," part of the Latin Catholic Mass. Is this true? Any idea where "abracadabra" may have arisen?

The theory your friend has read about the origin of "hocus pocus" is probably not true, but it does have a very long history, having first been suggested way back around 1694 by John Tillotson, then Archbishop of Canterbury. All available evidence, however, indicates that "hocus pocus" first appeared as a proper noun, the stage name of a particular magician who attained wide renown in England during the reign of James I (1567-1625). Mr. Hokus Pocus evidently took his name from the nonsensical incantation he repeated during his act, something along the lines of "Hocus pocus, tontus talontus, vade celeriter jubeo," which didn't really mean anything but effectively distracted his audience's attention from his sleight of hand. Such was this fellow's fame that magicians have used his incantation ever since, and "hokus pokus" has become a synonym for trickery or deception.

Answer by Matthew Bunson on 10-19-2006:
For another view, I would suggest reading the following explanations of the two terms: http://www.worldwidewords.org/weirdwords/ww-hoc1.htm http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-abr1.htm
