Just heard Franklin Graham say, "In the Bible, rain is a sign of blessing by G_D. And today, President Trump, it started to rain as you stepped to the podium!"

That was a great moment. I also appreciated Cardinal Dolan's remarks, even though I am no big fan of the Cardinal. Trump's speech was short and powerful.

I noticed that Muslim Imams were CONSPICUOUSLY ABSENT!
..... and The Name of The Father, Jesus & Holy Spirit were PROMINENTLY SPOKEN OF.... and a Rabbi was given prime time too with, I believe, was a pro-Israel message! ... and... Trump uttered the words that Obama refused to do ..... Radical Islamic Terrorism!! Let us Pray that the days of giving Radical Murderous Muslims a pass are over ...... along with all the other criminal anarchists, Illegal Aliens and drug/human traffickers of which the Democrats/Left seem to have such a strange affinity!

GOD SAVE THE REPUBLIC AND ALL HERE!!

The mainstream media has totally lost credibility. I just watched the inauguration. It was wonderful. President Trump's speech was superb. A no holds barred indictment of the Washington establishment. Afterwards the news commentator opened up a comment that his speech was reminiscent of the anti-semitic speeches of the 1930's.
    WHAT?
    SERIOUSLY?
That is all you have to contribute to the conversation?
    Baseless, unfounded attacks on Trump?
The speech had nothing at all to do with that. No one iota of it.
    Very sad.
Ridiculous that that commentator still has a job.
    Very sad indeed.

I was nervous as a kitten during President Trump's speech. All these threats of assassination have spooked me. Thanks be to God and His Blessed Mother, all went so very well.

President Trump is a beacon of hope for America, but also for the rest of the world. He represents sanity and old-fashioned decency and common sense in the midst of an international media and political culture that has recently aspired to take us to the seventh circle of Hell.

  7. As Rev. Graham said.....rain is a sign of God's blessing....and this rain at its particular time had that blessing directed at Pres. Trump....God's "anointed" as was explained by the 2011 "prophecy". Drudge's current headline:

    AMERICA AGAIN!
    TRUMP SWORN IN
    'POWER BACK TO PEOPLE'

WOW! Beautiful! What a day! I'm so proud of America today (I'm one quarter American by birth). As soon as Mike Pence began his oath of office, I began to pray for his safety and that of the Trump family. Amazing that it went off without a hitch and the BBC swallowed its bile and covered it all graciously, with the exception of some cheap American pundit. The only other inauguration I have watched was Reagan's second back in the 1980s when we were living in Maryland. I half-watched it, but woke up when a child-like young girl sang God Bless America. It was the first time I had ever seen Whitney Houston.

Even without the big name entertainers, the ceremony was moving and dignified. I really hope that he can deliver - his message was so inspirational. It's a big task he's set himself. Love that he swore on Reagan's bible. Now he needs his prayer supporters as he tries to make America great again. It won't be easy. And he'll be a friend to the UK and to Israel.

What got me, as President Trump was leaving, after his speech, I switched through the networks for their response. Already, CBS, FOX and ABC, they were already attacking everything he said! Mom, Dad, the news media is evil.

My thoughts exactly. Such grace and poise! And so thoughtful to bring a gift, which looked to be from Tiffany's, to the outgoing First Lady... classy!

Sad to say, but it DOES have something to do with the "anti-semitic speeches of the 1930's". At the time when it looked like war was going to break out in Europe, there was an isolationist group formed called "America First", which was also its slogan and battle cry. This group wanted to keep America out of any further wars in Europe, and unfortunately, the group, while not overtly supportive of the Nazis, had praise for what Hitler had done and was doing to rebuild Germany. This praise also included a heavy dose of anti-Semitism.

When Trump first started using that phrase on the campaign trail, he was told about the America Firsters and the bad connotation that slogan had, particularly in the Jewish community. He simply didn't care. All of that was 80 years ago, two generations, and his message didn't have anything to do with that group.

    Sorry NO.

I am a historian. I know the reference the liberal media is using to try to connect Trump to anti-semitism. America First is just a basic phrase. I have heard it a hundred times in my life in a variety of ways. To say someone can never use it again without it being anti-semitic is just more liberal clap-trap.

Hitler used the term “New world order” which is much more specific.

Does that mean President George Bush senior was a Nazi because he used it too?

    Give me a break.

The America First Committee was first and foremost an anti-war and non-intervention movement. It was treated much the same way that non-interventionist patriots today like Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan, and Michael Scheuer are treated today: by playing the "anti-semite card." The minute that card is played, then or now, I always smell a rat. American patriots like Ron Paul, Buchanan, Scheuer and others are treated today much like the American patriot and hero Charles Lindbergh were treated. Anyone who has actually studied the history of WWII and the statements and political manuerving on both sides, knows that WWII was truly an unnecessary war and there were good and bad parties on both sides. Buchanan wrote an excellent book on the subject called Churchill, Hitler and the Unnecessary War. Linbergh was not a Nazi-sympathizer. He was not an anti-semite. What he was was an opponent of the equivalent of the Neocon warmongers of our own day:

Nothing did more to escalate the tensions than the speech Lindbergh delivered to a rally in Des Moines, Iowa on September 11, 1941. In that speech he identified the forces pulling America into the war as the British, the Roosevelt administration, and American Jews. While he expressed sympathy for the plight of the Jews in Germany, he argued that America's entry into the war would serve them little better. He said in part:

It is not difficult to understand why Jewish people desire the overthrow of Nazi Germany. The persecution they suffered in Germany would be sufficient to make bitter enemies of any race. No person with a sense of the dignity of mankind can condone the persecution the Jewish race suffered in Germany. But no person of honesty and vision can look on their pro-war policy here today without seeing the dangers involved in such a policy, both for us and for them.

Instead of agitating for war the Jewish groups in this country should be opposing it in every possible way, for they will be among the first to feel its consequences. Tolerance is a virtue that depends upon peace and strength. History shows that it cannot survive war and devastation. A few farsighted Jewish people realize this and stand opposed to intervention. But the majority still do not. Their greatest danger to this country lies in their large ownership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio, and our government. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/America_First_Committee

It is also a fact that the America First Committee was infiltrated by Communists in an attempt to discredit it. Also, if it wasn't for the anti-war efforts of the America First Committee, America might have entered WWII too early and had that happened, we would be speaking German today:

Communists were antiwar until June 1941 and tried to infiltrate or take over America First. After Hitler attacked the Soviet Union in June 1941, they reversed positions and denounced the AFC as a Nazi front (or infiltrated by German agents). Nazis also tried to use the committee: at the trial of the aviator and orator Laura Ingalls, the prosecution revealed that her handler, Ulrich Freiherr von Gienanth, a German diplomat, had encouraged her to participate in committee activities.

Conservative commentator Pat Buchanan has praised America First and used its name as a slogan. "The achievements of that organization are monumental," writes Buchanan. "By keeping America out of World War II until Hitler attacked Stalin in June 1941, Soviet Russia, not America, bore the brunt of the fighting, bleeding and dying to defeat Nazi Germany." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/America_First_Committee
