    Thanks for sharing this video. God bless our priests. They are human and need our prayers.

    Did you notice the mystical bit? The lady to whom Jesus told that he needed help?
    Mind blowing, very moving. God rest his soul. I am sure he is in heaven.

    Yes, and I am sure he could have talked allot on her alone. I think there are more people than we imagine that are having conversations with God.

    Yes but did you notice that no one she went to would believe her but this priest? This makes me so sad. Why shouldn't people have conversations with Jesus? I have been nattering away to him ten to the dozen since I was a tiny child and earlier and never thought anything of it. The Faith of many has grown cold.

    Matthew 24:12

    Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,

    The thing that amazes me, that constantly amazes me is that everyone is not constantly talking to Jesus all the time. I wonder to myself, 'How do people bear this? To be so alone without the Lord constantly chatting away to them. How to they survive the silence. ?

    Matthew 28:20

    Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

    Ephesians 3:17-19

    so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

    John 14:20

    "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

    1 John 3:24

    The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

    I know what you mean, Padraig. I find myself talking to Him all day about very minor things as well as very serious things. Sometimes out loud and then I have to catch myself or my family will think I'm certifiable. There is an episode related in Sister Josefa Menendez's diary where she tells us she was always in the habit of talking to Him about everything and she was in the kitchen helping to get lunch ready for the nuns and she said in some dismay as she checked the larder "Oh Jesus, look there isn't enough bread!" And to her utter shock he was suddenly standing there smiling and He said "Josefa, is that my fault?" Loved loved loved that.

    THANKYOU for sharing this video. I am so moved! What a humble charitable loving faith filled priest and one who has been through the crucible and can say with such conviction: hold on to Jesus! Just got a chill right through me. Beautiful! Thanks again. BTW when I mentioned about talking to Jesus I didn't mean to imply He talks back. At least not in the normal sense of the word. I suppose it's more like practicing the presence of God as Brother Lawrence said. Just with Him in thought and word through the day. Anyway, what an extraordinary story and what an extraordinary priest. I appreciate knowing about him.

    Well he was talk back to me.:)

    Today I was thinking , embarrassed about how I mentioned in the post that he , 'Natters away to me', thinking that that was not a proper and respectful was to speak about Our Lord and Saviour when I heard Him laughing and He said,

    'Don't worry I know what you meant'.

    Then a pause,

    'But you make the angels raise their eye brows sometimes Padraig!'

    Then He laughed again.:)

    I 'll send this to my two priestly sons, even if they aren't twins!:) A marvelous testimony!

    Romans 8:28 We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.

    There I go again, envying you, Padraig.
    Could you maybe put in a good word for me? How I yearn to hear His voice :love:

    'I am the Good Shepherd,says the Lord. My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.'
    As I like to beg our Lord - 'please speak Lord, that I may know Your voice, and follow You'.

    This was a very beautiful video. I have to admit, I find myself talking with Jesus (and Mary when I think he is not listening lol) all day long. Though I never hear his voice in words, I do in the things that happen. There are times for instance when I am trying to find something I misplaced and I get very frustrated and I will say "Lord, I know I am not finding what I am looking for, because you want to show me something else) and low and behold, wouldn't you know he manifests something to me that I come across during my search that is important, and then sure enough what I was originally looking for all of a sudden is so easily found. I think things like this happen in everyone's lives, some just are not looking for it

    My son, Fr. Benjamin, was ordained in December, 2014, and is currently serving outside of Detroit, MI. My son, Patrick, is studying theology in Rome and hopes to be ordained in December, 2018. They are both Legionaries of Christ. But it is important to give credit where credit is due. A young, former seminarian named Brian Bisgrove, started up what was to become Conquest Clubs back in the '90s. He was an exemplary Catholic and full of zeal. By the age of 20, he had developed aggressive brain cancer which was to take his life. To show you his love for Christ and the Church, Brian refused anesthesia for his last surgery, offering up his suffering for the boys in his club.:cry: With an example like that, a number of boys under his tutelage pursued the priesthood!:love: Here is part of his legacy:

    Padraig says there are saints all around us. Brian is one of them!:)

    Lyrics to Abide With Me:
    1. Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
      The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide;
      When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
      Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me.
    2. Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day;
      Earth’s joys grow dim, its glories pass away;
      Change and decay in all around I see—
      O Thou who changest not, abide with me.
    3. I need Thy presence every passing hour;
      What but Thy grace can foil the tempter’s pow’r?
      Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
      Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.
    4. I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
      Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness;
      Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
      I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.
    5. Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
      Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies;
      Heav’n’s morning breaks, and earth’s vain shadows flee;
      In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
    Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!

    You are so blessed I read about Brian . I spill try to remember to pray to him. What a courageous thing to do. All that pain produced wonderful results.
