We all have to be careful about what we see/read on the internet and investigate as best we can the authenticity therein. I've received e-mails on the below from several friends and decided to check it out. Franklin Graham did give a speech, 2015, which echoes the beliefs of many here and is accompanied by some unknown writer who penned similar thoughts of what we are witnessing a year on .... Today! I think it's good for us to know at MOG that we are not alone in our beliefs that "Evil This Way Comes" and for those of you who "live in Catholic wombs" it is good/essential to know that there are plenty of non-Catholic People of Faith "Out-There" and you may well be in the same boat/foxhole one day soon. ;-( ... especially if, like me, you live in the middle of rural Bible Belt Country.
Franklin Graham, the CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, delivered the remarks at the Jacksonville Pastors’ Conference in January of 2015:
“America has changed, and it’s not coming back unless the church takes a stand. There are storms that are coming. We find ourselves in these storms, and many times we as church run, and we run to the wrong place. You see, Jesus is in the boat. All we have to do is call him. Call his name. But the secularist and the humanists, you mention the name of Christ, and they jump all over you.”

Something must "give" soon and why, "These Days", one does not need any religious roots to figure out that "Something is Rotten in the State of Denmark"! The SHTF Moment is near ;-( What will be that "Spark"? I've developed this line of thought over the past few weeks based on my observations and conversations. Here is the most detailed description of how we, as individuals and as groups working together, can fight and change (for now) the "Bathroom War" battles: (NOTE: "Faux Shopping" is something another person was recommending, where you fill up your cart with a couple of hundred dollars of items; then after it's been rung up, you tell the cashier that you're not going to buy anything, and to tell the manager that he/she has lost a couple of hundred dollars in sales because of their bathroom policies.)

"Faux Shopping" is a nice idea, but at Target it won't be as effective as you might think. Yes, the minions will need to re-shelve all the items, but activities like that are built into the workflow. Those items will just be combined with all the items that got returned at the guest service desk. The managers won't be too affected at not making $212.00 in sales, because they'll know you never intended to spend that money anyway -- it's just junk in the shopping cart.

What WILL affect them, and affect them viscerally, is to buy only a few items -- no more than $1 or $3 worth. At the front of the store there will be a place called "One Spot" or "Spot's Playground". It's full of items that cost only $1 or $3 -- pencils, or Avengers cups, stuff like that. When you pay for it, you'll get a receipt. At the bottom of the receipt will be a web address for a "guest satisfaction survey." This is your key to bringing down Target.

When you fill it out, don't give everything a 1 or a 0. That will be statistically outside the norm and your survey will be discarded. Instead, roll a dice to randomly generate a number to express your level of satisfaction with the question you're answering: did the staff greet you, was the store clean, that kind of stuff. By using a dice you know you won't give them a rating in anything above a 6. When you get to the part where you get to add any comments, DO NOT say that you don't like the bathroom policy. Just say something like "I didn't feel comfortable sending my kids into the restroom," or that you yourself didn't feel safe using the dressing rooms, or that you couldn't find the family restroom or there was too long a line to wait to use it.

By not mentioning -- by name -- the bathroom/dressing room policy, they don't have to disregard your comments. Instead, these comments are a sign that an unconscious negative perception is building up in the community. Plus, guest satisfaction surveys DO count -- if the store starts getting consistent low marks in the surveys, that triggers visits by upper management. When the time comes to start closing stores, they won't just look at the sales figures, they'll also be looking at the satisfaction survey results.

A final note: if you -- male or female -- have been the survivor of a sexual assault, the comment section is where you can tell them how they have taken away one place where you felt safe, and now you cannot count on that safety anymore at Target. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN ASSAULTED! It disregards the pain of those who have been through that event.

Try to get members of your church to do this at least weekly for a couple of months, and you will see results.

I am a little disappointed in myself because after exhausting all stores when looking for the birthday gift that my son REALLY wanted, I broke down and went to Target. (I know, if I'd planned ahead, I could've ordered the gift online.)
Anyway, what really got me was that when I was looking at price labels on the shelf, they actually read "gender neutral skateboard"!! Crazy! Why not just "skateboard"? What does gender have to do with it??

Ugh. Our society has gone totally nuts.

 

A few months back, Target suffered some blowback because in some of their larger stores (not the one where I was working) the toy section was actually gender-separated. Not where similar toys were grouped together, but where you'd have sections marked in pink that were designated "girls toys". You would have sections labeled (for example) "LEGOS" and then a separate section labeled "GIRLS LEGOS". Sort of a "separate but equal" philosophy for toys. Target issued a public apology, and I imagine that price tag was their way to show that they were keeping their promise not to segregate the toys.

 

That's interesting about the Legos. Pretty ironic. That toy only works because of the "male/female" interconnect. Otherwise, it all falls apart.

Yesterday the Department of Defense announced that Transgender People will not just be allowed in the Military but "celebrated" and today I see this below.
