Welcome Monica from Cordova, Tennessee. I someimtes think of St Monica and the struggles she had with her husband and son. Her husband a pagan , bad tempered, a bully and possible wife beater and her son a dissolute pagan and the huge witness she gave that led to their conversion. Who knows realy what St Monica suffered? But by lying on the Cross she gave life to them both. A saint for wives and mothers. What an example.
Thank you Padraig for welcoming me to your forum! I have been reading it for a couple of years now and admire the strong Catholic faith of the members and the beauty in some of the truly inspiring posts. Yes, St Monica is such a witness for persevering in prayer and sacrifice, especially for our family members!
Thank you Glenn! Cordova is a suburb outside of Memphis and I believe that Brentwood is near Nashville, about 3 hours away. We visit Brentwood sometimes, it is a really great place! It is not too far from Mother Angelica's Shrine of The Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Alabama.
