LTTW has a message about the papacy moving from Rome to Jerusalem under the current Pope. Does anyone know if there are any other prophecies about such a move? Although the papacy moving to Jerusalem struck me at first as incredible, there is a certain logic to it. There is often a symmetry to events in the Bible. The disobedience of Eve is countered by the obedience of Mary, the confusion of Babel is reversed at Pentecost, etc. The kingdom of God is originally given to the Jews and centered in Jerusalem under Peter. Most Jews reject the gospel so Peter leaves Jerusalem for Rome, the kingdom is given to the Gentiles, and Peter seals the new status of Rome as the center of the Church with his blood. Jerusalem is then destroyed. Now the Gentiles (or at least Europe) have mostly rejected the gospel so the kingdom will return to the Jews. Peter (the Pope) will leave Rome for Jerusalem and will seal Jerusalem's new status as the center of the Church with his blood. Rome will then be destroyed by ... ?
Very interesting...so many prophecies to shift through. Perhaps the future destruction of Rome is in the cards. I wonder if St Peters Basilca is in danger of being destroyed...for that matter... much of Rome. I suppose after the economic and political collapse of the Western World...Italy logically would become a primary target of a renewed militant Islamic onslaught.
In the book I am reading now " The End of the Present World", by Father Charles Arminjon (1881), stated this fact that Jerusalem will be where the pope will give his life and it will also become the seat of the anti-christ. St. Therese of Lisiuux said, "reading this book was one of the greatest graces I have received".
I know there is a prophesy about Ukraine becoming the 'seat of Rome'. The Ukrainian people believe that Ukraine will become an 'island' during the end time and a moat of fire will surround it and keep the people safe. There are many other 'refuge stories' including some in Russia where those who remain faithful to Christ and His Church will find safety and protection.
I personally know the person who is responsible for the spreading of this book (The End of the Present World). Her name is Susan Conroy. A wonderful Catholic woman who has appeared on EWTN many times. When she was in her early twenties she spent time with Blessed Mother Theresa in Calcutta. She travels the country speaking of her time with Mother Theresa. She has a great devotion to Saint Therese of Lisieux. She learned of this book being one of St Therese's favorite books so she went on a high and low search for this book. She tracked down the last copy of this book in the whole world. It was basically lost. She then was one of the people that translated it. Now the world has this book that was lost. A very great book on End Times.
I've seen Susan Conroy on EWTN and she is amazing! I bought the book after seeing her on Women of Grace. I haven't read it all yet so must go back to it again, this thread has reminded me .
