    Dear Friends,
I would like to announce, if I may, the publication of my book Heralds of the Second Coming: Our Lady, the Divine Mercy, and the Popes of the Marian Era from Blessed Pius IX to Benedict XVI. The book, has an Imprimatur from my Bishop, Philip Egan of Portsmouth, England, and has a Foreword by Cardinal Ivan Dias (which I notice has been seen!), Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and cardinal member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He is a great Marian devotee who gave the Requiem Mass for Fr Stefano Gobbi, and was the Pope's legate for the opening of the 150th Anniversary of the Lourdes apparitions in 2007. Some of you may remember the stunning homily he gave on that occasion, and the foreword is a development of those themes.
The book is not primarily about apparitions, rather is is meant to complement the messages of the past 150 years and show that there is a parallel prophetic charism in the writings of these great popes. The book, I hope, will be very interesting to all Catholics because it details for the first time, the startling prophetic teachings of the Popes of the past 150 years showing that they have warned of the approaching return of the Lord in glory through the discernment of the eschatological signs given by Jesus in the Gospels. What I hope to show is that there are two prophetic streams in this Marian Era-one from heaven in the form of private revelation and also, criticially the magisterium of the popes. The writings of the popes also answer certain questions such as what is the exact meaning of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary? Why was Vatican II important from the eschatological point of view? How does the New Evangelization relate to the coming of the Kingdom and the New Heaven and New Earth? The importance of the prophetic charism of the popes given by the Holy Spirit is also explored. For all Catholics who love the popes and love our Blessed Mother, I hope this book will be eye opening, especially now when the focus is concentrated so much on the papacy..There is also an appendix of St Hildegard of Bingen's visions approved by Pope Eugene III, in which God the Father showed her the "Five Ferocious Epochs" to come between her time and the end of the world". Certain pin point accurate prophecies in those visions show us exactly where we are in those epochs. For me it also shows why Pope Benedict proclaimed Hildegard a Doctor of the Church last October. I hope that you will find a great amount of new information within its pages. I can promise that it is not a re hash of end times books available. I hope to show a completely new angle from those chosen by the Holy Spirit Himself. The book is available at www.angelicopress.com or direct from amazon.com

Excellent - well done Stephen - sounds really interesting.

The Triumph of the Sorrowful & Immaculate Heart of Mary - will we see it in our lifetime?

Thanks Garabandal for your warm welcome! In the book I have avoided speculation concerning specifics, but I think it is clear the popes are in line with prophetic thought. I should mention that I have a papal explanation in there that deals with end times v end of the world issue. I think it is the one great misunderstood element in all talk of the Triumph and era of peace. I am fairly sure it is not the interpretation that most marian devotees will be expecting.

Wow - just read some of the reviews of your book Stephen - Ralph Martin endorses it so you are in fine company:

“This book provides a careful, sensitive, and responsible treatment of the seldom noticed eschatological themes in recent papal writings. A greater sensitivity to the “signs of the times” will be just one of its good fruits. Much food for thought.”—Ralph Martin, S.T.D.; author of The Fulfillment of All Desire and Will Many be Saved?

Martin's book 'The Fulfillment of All Desire' is truly a classic & I feel will be used in seminaries of the future.

Thanks Garabandal. Very kind of you. I did mean to say, I would really like to hear views from people when they have read it. I hope some new angles will contribute to our understanding of this hour of history

Have you written other books, Stephen? Are you full time-writer or do you have another occupation as well? Do you have a formal education in theology or an area related to religion? I don't think a person needs any of the above to write a good book, but I am curious.

    Rain,
I am actually a piano teacher and performer on odd occasions. I have performed Rachmaninov's 3rd Piano Concerto and Brahms 2nd Concerto as well as solo performances. I dont have much time these days. I have no formal theological training and this is my first book. What I would stress though was that getting an imprimatur was of paramount importance to me. That way I could be happy in the knowledge that what was in the book fully conforms to the Catholic Faith. I would like to say that the book does not contain my interpretation of end times events. I have written exactly what the popes have taught .

Hi Miriam .It will be on kindle apparently in a month or two.
Mothersuperior7-Thanks for your kind words. Well concerning Cardinal Dias I got to know of him through the MMP and then the famous homily he gave at Lourdes in 2007. I know he has always had a great love for Our Lady and he was very close to Fr Gobbi in his latter years. He was also close to both the last two popes. He got to know JP II in Poland in the 1970's when he worked for the secretary of State. I know he is good friends with at least two of the Medjugorje visionaries and is also a supporter of the apparitions of Naju (Yes i know that is a minefield-apparently its with the CDF now). He told me he had seen mystical phenomena with Julia Kim when she visited him in the vatican in 2010. I can honestly say I dont think he will be the next pope-simply because his health is not great. He cannot walk much any longer and his eyesight is gradually diminishing. He certainly is a wonderful Cardinal and bishop who understands the importance of mysticism in the Church. My view is that he will be one of the "kingmakers" in the conclave especially because of his experience in the Vatican curia and also his work outside. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience that many of the newer cardinals dont have. I truly consider it a great grace that he agreed to write me the Foreword-and such a powerful prophetic one at that!

Do you have anything in it Stephen about any of the visions the Popes were said to have had, specifically the 100 year reign of Satan?

    Have you heard anything...?

Padraig, I have a detailed account of Leo XIII's from the cardinals that were there. Its more about the vision of a huge mass of demons descending on Rome. I dont know anything specific. What I have really done is detail the official megisterial prophetic teachings-some of Pius XII translated for the first time. If there is one thing that will astound people I think will be the issue of end of an era or end of the world. And what comes after. That is the one reason why I am sure I was prompted to write it.
