In conversation I was asked a very valid question which to be honest I had no answer for. The question was "do you not find it very strange that a message comes from Akita a month before the Pope is visiting, the last message from Akita was over 40 years ago and that was also the last time a Pope visited". "do you not find that remarkabley convenient, could it not be just to shine new light on an old apparition" "also there is no mention not even a hint of a clue in the latest messages from Medjugore that points to what was said in Akita, therefore if an event was close i.e 6th Dec would you not imagine that both apparition sites would be singing from the same hymm sheet" They concluded with if either nothing happens or something does then surely that would cancel the validation of either? Well all I can say head spinning stuff
I don't want to sound like the guy with all the answers. But for what it's worth; here' what I think. If you look at all Marian Apparition Sites , they come under different titles. So we have Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Guadalupe , Our Lady of Fatima and so on. Now my own mother had seven sons and three daughters. She loved them all of course but she related to each one as a particular person. She knew them all better than anyone else and knew their individual needs and requirements. Also of course on different occasions she would have different things to say according to the occasion. Sometimes they might need to give them a hug, other times a brisk slap on the ear. The same with Marian Apparitions. There is no , general catch all. So I don't see a problem here. Its a bit like the lamps in a room , each at night time through lights in differing places.
You know my soul was unsettled with posting this thread but I am contented now, within 10 mins of posting the thread I was handed two prayer cards the first was a knock prayer card with Pope John Paul on the back in his own writting The blessing of almighty God Father Son And Holy Spirit Be with you now and always John Paul II Pilgrim to the shrine of Our Lady of Knock September 30, 1979 The second prayer card was a picture of Our Lady of Fatima and the act of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
I would say both Medugore and Akita are 100%true. Although the most recent message I am not sure about because its hard to check the actual source. But if it was from the actual seer in Akita I am sure it's fine. It's just hard to be quite sure if it actually came from her. Things in Japan seem very confused.
Hi Quis ut Deus, Maybe Our Lady will keep to her word at every apparition site! If Our Lady has indicated at a particular site (say Medjugoria for instance) that an event will be announced within a set amount of days or weeks before the event occurs, then those who follow that apparition would be waiting for this number of days, for authenticity! I believe the above reason, however, would not restrict Our Lady in warning or guiding the faithful at different/other apparition sites where time frames were not specifically given and therefore not specifically awaited. Ps. I want God to step in as soon as possible! However it is possibly years away! God Bless.
Also there appear to be a multiplicity of various warnings/signs to come from Medugoje as each seer may have been given some different secrets. So it may be the same for Akita. For example Akita may be more specific to Asia.Japan. I think a lot of confusion from different Apparition Sites is due to bad people in authority trying to cover up and suppress stuff.
I especially appreciate your final paragraph. There are oodles of naysayers & authority who would keep things silent until each message or prophesy is manifest.
Many of the Secrets seem to point at very serious diabolical goings on in the Vatican itself, both back then and to come in the future (which is to say now). So of course these people would act against them. The Virgin Mary in the case of the apparitions in Rome seems to have tried to sidestep these awful people by going direct to the then Pontiff Pius xii (Our Lady of Revelations at Tre Fontane) . But I believe there have been other instances when Mary has gone right to source. Sister Lucia for instance had private conservation with St Pope John Paul2 I think.
This question had me puzzled and so I looked up the details Sister S. received that somber message about fire falling from the sky on Oct. 13 1973 (46 years ago) Pope John Paul II visited Tokyo on Feb. 24, 1981 (38 years ago) and so the solemn Akita message did not happen at the same time as Pope JPII's visit to Japan. Also December 6th is going to be a day of reparation and penance, and as far as I know, there is nothing prophesied to happen that day(?)
This seems a good place to share a meeting I just had with my young Parochial Vichor. I attended an "Ordinary" Mass yesterday in which the priest offers the Sacrifice Ad Orientum, much chanting, incense, everyone receives lined up as though in front of a Communion trail, on the tongue. When I shared this with him and my impression, he said he LOVED that due to what is truly happening during the Mass and Consecration. So I just asked if he'd be willing and able to offer the same on a regular basis at our church, presenting a reminder of why and what is truly happening during Mass prior in an evening meeting or in his column. I'll keep you posted on that. Granted he may have to wait until he is assigned his own. He was ordained only 6 months ago!! What a treasured Shepherd!
Update- While he'd love to, the time and place isn't right. He sees baby steps needed where he's at and greater importance on teaching the real presence. I told him of a short video I would forward he & my Dad titled Veil Removed.
