I remember seeing an interview of an African woman who stated that ideologies such as that of Obama in his visits there pushing abortion and gay rights and tying this ideological fantasy to foreign aid were so completely alien to Africans that there is simply abject dismissal of these concepts by the people at large. Cardinal Sarah has made mention of this as well. It was very heartening to hear this. Especially because the allure of materialism is not finding the fertile ground it counts on to raise its other fruits. I wish I could say the same for America and Europe. Similar to the outright banning of marriage during the communist take over of Russia, these ideas will be walked back and replaced with something more palatable. Instead of the Truth however, we see the wide spread acceptance of the technological breakthroughs of eugenics and designer babies because it appeals to our wants and desires devoid of the proper formation of our conscious. Above all we must not suffer the injustice of self sacrifice! I think the ultimate notions of things such as the goals of the communists of China are their ideal. Who's desire has been to merge the RC Faith with that of the communist ideal. With their applications to have children approved by the government and forced abortions for all who color outside the lines of the government is God agenda. Coincidental how much this resembles the ideologies which rose between WWI and II and were put into practice in Germany but had their beginnings in the US. In CA, where many tried but failed to gain acceptance nationwide to these Godless concepts by the people we see the same horrific agenda. It just went into hiding until such time as the barrier to its acceptance could be dismantled and transformed. It is now championed by the UN. It is the same age old tale we read of in the great stories of old like the Exodus. Tales of child sacrifice, infanticide for the weak or those of the less desired sex, euthanasia and scorn for those who are a burden on the greater society as a whole. To build up man in his own image. Free from God at last and condemning those who abide in Him. It is concerning that the government holds the reigns to the news media in Europe and Ireland. Especially considering that what has gone on in the US is surely but a piece of the larger picture of Europe. The funding for these can be affected in a degree when people wake up to the overall message which is being spoon fed to us. Tax payer funding guarantees that it will continue unabated. The internet has been a great tool for exposing these agendas and opening peoples eyes. It truly is a spiritual battle we are in.
I think it predates the US and goes at least as far back as the French Revolution. Not all news media in Ireland, Britain or the EU are government controlled. There's an error in my previous post where I said that the main alternative to the BBC is Fox. That should have been Sky News which is mostly owned by the Murdochs. Sky really isn't much better than the BBC. Journalism and news reporting generally is of a very low standard these days but that's as much a reflection of the standards in society as anything else. The media wouldn't be able to whip up emotional reactions with their faux outrage if people paid more attention to what they are being fed. And it's mostly in formal education where people learn how to think. The trouble is that they are being taught what rather than how to think. For all the pushing of individualism, the herd mentality seems to predominate.

...I've said it before, but what I'm seeing is absolute madness unfolding. You have one entire half of Congress and a great deal of the media that cling to a narrative of Trump colluded and anyone who disagrees with them about virtually anything is a racist, homophobic, anti woman bigot. Any evidence of wrongdoing or misreporting at all which points in their direction is met with condescension, threats, mocks and demonization. At 52, I remember how it was during Reagan's time and, though there was bias and an unchecked media, it was nothing like this. The media does not like being questioned, and the double standard is so pronounced it's as frightening as can be. I've never said Trump was a saint, not have I ever praised the GOP as angels. But my opinion is that the democrat party has become a party of far left wing activists who can not be reasoned with. I watch the state of the union address and think, "Ok, that all makes sense", and then you watch much of the media and Hollywood and they trash it as though it's from the devil, himself.
