I believe that the fall of the United States will occur to facilitate the rise of a new Roman Empire of the West, formed by some European countries. I believe Antichrist will be the leader of this Empire

In this locution, Fr Gobbi (or if you prefer Our Lady through Fr Gobbi) associates the mark of the Beast with the idol fashioned by the False Prophet in Rev 13:

yes, Father Gobbi has revealed important details about the Antichrist and the False Prophet, I believe there will be a union between the state (united Europe) and church (church of antipope)

 

An era or period of peace still separates the coming minor chastisement from the time of the AC and the Second Coming.

Prophecy says there will be at least one full generation, possibly many more, between the minor chastisement and it’s ending with the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart, and the coming of the AC.

Conjecture about the AC, while understandable, is premature. Prophecy however also says the coming minor chastisement will be so bad many will think it IS the major (end time) chastisement.

 

Under this interpretation of prophecy then Rome (or the west) would be the one who has persecuted the church and the saints killing them like no other correct? I have a hard time believing that in light of the history of the Church waring with Islam for so many centuries. It just doesn't fit.

 

I will concede that I could see some European nations joining ranks with this Beast and taking part in the times to come. Not unlike what happened in WWII.

Saudi Helicopter Carrying 8 High-Ranking Officials & Prince Bin-Muqrin Crashed Near Yemen Border - All Dead

The shocking latest twist in what has been a chaotic weekend in Saudi Arabia is news that a helicopter transporting 8 high-ranking Saudi officials (including prince Mansour bin-Muqrin) has crashed in the south of the Kingdom, near the border with Yemen.

Hello Briank, forgive me, I had not seen your post. I believe that before the last antichrist will come the forerunners, I believe that the last one will be the one that precedes the return of Christ

 

I personally believe it is to take attention away from the Saudi Arabian coup and purge that is happening. All these players have been in league with the Clintons and Obama for the last 20 years.
Add to that the supposed documents linking Trump staffers to Russia yet again all over the MSM.

Meanwhile, where exactly are Hillary, Obama, the Podesta brothers, Huma ? Not a peep from any of them for days according to their twitter accounts. This is big. Hopefully, big enough to finally rid ourselves of this evil once and for all.

 

I might add that with President Trump in Asia for 10 days surrounded by three aircraft carriers and a whole lot of USMC escorts he sure picked a convenient time for his trip wouldn't you say? Safe and sound in the arms if the USMC while the opposition implodes, sealed indictments are served and the round up commences. It may be wishful thinking on my part but I don't think so. It's shaping up to be a mighty interesting week in the US and abroad.

Things just may get a whole lot better in Saudi Arabia as well as abroad finally.

Breaking: The news out of Saudi Arabia is stunning. Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, the famous Saudi billionaire, who owns stakes in twitter, Citibank, Fox News, a critic of Donald Trump but also a proponent of liberalization in Saudi Arabia has been arrested for corruption. The whole system in Saudi Arabia is corrupt, arresting anyone for corruption is meaningless. What it means is that he is being detained not for his economic activities but perhaps for his political activities. Several ministers have been fired and many business and opinion leaders have been detained.

Heads of news channels also arrested.

On this same day there is a missile attack on Riyadh and Saad Hariri travels to Saudi Arabia to resign as PM of Lebanon. Coincidence. All of this after Jared Kushner makes a sort of secret, below the radar visit to Saudi Arabia.

Either Prince Muhammad bin Salman is consolidating power before ascending to the throne by eliminating dissenters, or there has been an attempted coup of sorts.

Yesterday, the Saudi government announced sweeping arrests of members of the royal family and other officials on charges of corruption.

Saudi authorities have arrested dozens of high ranking officials including the billionaire prince who owns the Savoy Hotel in London in an anti-corruption crackdown that strengthens Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s grip on power.

Police arrested 49 people including 11 princes, four ministers and tens of former ministers in raids across Riyadh, the Saudi capital, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Royal planes were grounded as authorities swooped in, corralling princes, former officials and media tycoons into five-star hotels across the capital for questioning.

Also caught up in the purge was Prince Miteb bin Abdullah, the last of the late King Abdullah’s sons to hold a position of real power. Until yesterday, he was head of Saudi Arabia’s National Guard, which accounts for about half of the country’s military. The rest of the military answers directly Mohammad bin Salman.

Other arrests include Ibrahim al-Assaf, a former finance minister, Adel Fakieh, an economy minister, Prince Turki bin Abdullah, a former governor of Riyadh. Major business figures including Bakr bin Laden, chairman of the big Saudi Binladin construction group, and Alwaleed al-Ibrahim, owner of the MBC television network, were also detained.

Considering corruption is about as rare in Saudi Arabia as sand fleas and bad water, what they were up to was either heroic in proportions or the arrests were a sham. Saudi Arabia’s monarch is known to be trying to clear the decks for his heir apparent.

The arrests came a few hours after the king replaced the minister in charge of the Saudi national guard, Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah, who controlled the last of the three Saudi armed forces not yet considered to be under control of the crown prince.

The king named Crown Prince Mohammed the minister of defense in 2015. Earlier this year, the king removed Prince Mohammed bin Nayef as head of the interior ministry, placing him under house arrest and extending the crown prince’s influence over the interior ministry’s troops, which act as a second armed force.

Rumors have swirled since then that King Salman and his favorite son would soon move against Prince Mutaib, commander of the third armed force and himself a former contender for the crown.

What is curious about the Arab media coverage is that the tone of the articles clearly indicate that no one thinks any of this is an accident.

The helicopter accident, juxtaposed with the corruption arrests, looks like the elimination of rivals. How very odd that the helicopter was loaded with high ranking officials. What very bad luck.

Assuming that this is not an accident, one has two easy explanations. First, a coup-in-the-making was detected and the king decided to take them out. The removal of the commander of the Saudi National Guard, which is the force that is supposed to defend the royal household, just before the corruption arrests and the fact that the arrested include top people in Saudi media seems related. One could hypothesize that the guys in the helicopter were ringleaders or, if you want to go full Tom Clancy, they were trying to flee and were shotdown.


A second hypothesis is that the king has received some bad medical news and he was forced to move up the schedule for consolidating the power of his heir apparent.

It could all be a coincidence but it certainly is a fortuitous one in which all the bad news came to rivals of the Crown Prince.
