Yes. Very ominous. There is "appeared to be". That strikes an ominous note.

I am in a joking mood
    If I may say so
Benedict appears to be the Bishop dressed in white
Obviously Francis is dressed in ecru

These children could not have possibly known to anticipate two men, alive and meeting together, both dressed as popes and appearing as if it were the Holy Father. Its never happened before so to a child's eye it would appear as a mirror image, not as two distinct individuals.

But this image fits the prophecy perfectly.

Jarg, Thank you for posting this. Do you happen to have a link to this information? I appreciate that you included a reference but unfortunately I am only fluent in English, so I am not certain where I could go to find the original quote or more information about this. Thank you in advance for any additional information that you can provide. If the only hotlink available is in a language other than English that would be helpful as opposed to no hotlinks, I will simply attempt to translate the information.

I had not realized that Francisco Sanchez Ventura had written more than one book about Garabandal until today. That is interesting in itself. TY.

Thank you Carol, I took this quote from Zavala's latest book on Fatima. He takes it from Ventura's own published reflections but he doesn't specify which (the book is written to reach out to a large audience Catholic or not, and not just for researchers, but knowing him he must have everything very well backed up), so not sure which of his books, but they will most certainly be written in Spanish because I don't know if any Ventura books are translated into English. You could still try writing Zavala, he has a Facebook page and he is pretty active - I am sure if you ask him for the specific reference he will let you know, though he has thousands of followers on Facebook so he may take some time. And I am sure he has at least a basic grasp of English. By the way I wrote him once privately and he answered within three weeks. His Facebook name is Jose Maria Zavala Gasset.

So, I was wondering about the church that is described and I remembered seeing pictures of a church in Spain that I was in disbelief over it looks so incredibly hideous to me. The Sagrada Familia which is still under construction.

Jarg, Thank you. I am not certain if I will contact Zavala because I have not read any of his books yet.

This is the quote from Zavala's book that you posted in English which originates from Francisco Sanchez-Ventrua,

"All of this allows us to assume that in it [the 3rd secret] it is announced the generalized Apostasy and the arrival of a Pope that will become an antipope. Let me elaborate. This is not about the election of an antipope but rather of an authentic Pope that, contaminated by the milieu and pressured by diabolic circumstances will end up falling into heresy and becoming an antipope in his way of thinking and acting. This will be the prophet of the Anti-Christ. The Lord, which promised to assist his Church to which we all belong, will designate the so called mystic Pope, repeating during the Second Coming of the Lord what had happened in His First Coming: That Christ left aside the official Church, the Sanhedrin, to elect a simple and ignorant layman y and name him His representative on Earth, with those words: "You are Peter and upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it."...[The Third Secret] gathers without a doubt the following linked ideas: the antipope prophet of the Antichrist, the general Apostasy, and the appointment of the mystical Pope, which will fall back into a layman. That is why the Virgin often repeats: "The lay people will be the ones that save my Church."
This statement contains a lot of interesting information and that is why I am curious about it's origins. I realize that you have stated that Zavala does not state which of Ventura's books this comes from but does he at least explain how Ventura discovered this information? You mention Frere Michel but I am not certain that you specified that this came from an interview that he had with Sister Lucia. Is that what is stated in Zavala's book? Thank you again.

If this quote is valid and it comes true, it states that, "the appointment of the mystical Pope, which will fall back into a layman". If Blessed Maria Taigi is speaking of the same future Pontiff who is selected in a miraculous way she states that he is a cardinal. Maybe he is not a layman but looked like a layman if this was from a vision. Maybe a cardinal in layman's clothing because this will occur at a time when priests will be in hiding which was prophesized to occur before the Warning. These are just some ideas, nothing more than that. My idea of the layman actually being a cardinal does not fit with the last statement as to why the lay people will save the Church but may be this was conjecture on the part of the writer. IDK.

From Blessed Maria Taigi (d. 1837),

"After the three days of darkness, Saints Peter and Paul having come down from heaven, will preach throughout the world and designate a new pope. A great light will flash from their bodies and will settle upon the cardinal, the future Pontiff. Then Christianity will spread throughout the world. Whole nations will join the Church shortly before the reign of Anti-Christ. These conversions will be amazing. Those who shall survive shall have to conduct themselves well. There shall be innumerable conversions of heretics. who will return to the bosom of the Church; all will note the edifying conduct of their lives, as well as that of all other Catholics. Russia, England, and China will come into the Church."

This prophecy from Blessed Taigi reminds me of when Conchita stated that the Pope will see the Miracle from wherever he is. I wonder if at the moment of the Miracle could this be the time when this mystical Pope is appointed. In addition, Conchita was told that the purpose of the Miracle was to convert the world which matches with Taigi's prophecy, IMHO.

If you are interested, Francisco Sanchez-Ventura's The Apparitions of Garbandal is in English and it is available online for free.
http://www.ourlady.ca/info/ApparitionsBook/contents.htm . Please let me know if you are interested in a Spanish version and I will look for one.

Also, here are some quotes from Frere Michel's book The Whole Truth About Fatima, just Vols. III and IV.

I admire your scholarship, Carol. You go into these matters so very deeply. I have been reading up on all these things for very, very many years and yet you seem to have at least as good a grasp on these things as myself.

I am curious, how long have you been studying up on all this?
I took it from one or two of your posts it was relatively recently?

It is just my opinion that the photo shouts out Masonic symbols to me.

THERE IS A MAGIC SQUARE ON THE PASSION FACADE
    [IMG]

This is one of the mysteries of the Sagrada Familia temple. Indeed, on the Passion facade, next to the statues of a couple kissing, you might see a 4x4 magic square of 15 numbers that has been a complete brain teaser so far. Some have found that the magic constant – i.e. when you add up all numbers horizontally or vertically- is 33, like the age of Christ when he was crucified. The same number also appears in the Parque Guëll (also designed by Gaudí) where the sum of stairs is 33. Another explanation is that the number 33 is the highest rank a freemasonist can reach. Indeed, Gaudí was probably a freemasonist, as his childhodd friend Eduard was one and because Gaudí was born in Reus, one of the cradles of freemasonry and also because Gaudí’s patron, Guëll, was also said to be a freemasonist. Another explanation is that Gaudí intentionally occulted the number 12 in order to deny the existence of the 12 apostles. Any way, this mathematic square remains a complete mystery that Gaudí brought in his tomb.

Perhaps Antonio Gaudí experienced an independent action in the field of spirituality located in Catholic orthodoxy but with a practice that went beyond Catholicism. By studying every single one of his masterpieces in detail you will notice that in them abound signs and symbols that are heritage of certain secret societies.http://iwilltravelblog.com/antonio-gaudi-architect-mason-saint/

    Padraig,

Thank you. I knew about Fatima and Lourdes from grade school but I still do not know as much about either of those apparitions as many people on MOG do.

I visited Lourdes in August 2015 and in March 2016, I was drawn to MOG and Our Lady of Garabandal.

There is a lot to learn here on MOG and it has taken me months to learn a fraction of what everyone here knows. When I first became a member I was very naïve to think that I might be able to figure "everything" out. Many members here have helped clarify certain things for me and have directed me to some very good sources of information, imho.

When I think that I have "found" something interesting I like to post the links to the information, that does not mean that the information is absolutely correct but I think it helps those here who may want to investigate something for themselves.

I have been anxious at times about what is going on in the Church since around the time I became a member on MOG mainly because that was when AL was released to the laity. Lately, the feeling of uncertainty has increased quite a bit. I am very glad to have this community to discuss these things with. I think we help each other greatly in this respect along with many other things.

I like the number 33 as it signifies the age of the death of our Lord. I am going to give Gaudi the benefit of the doubt on this one. I don't find the evidence that he was a mason to be convincing in any way. He was a daily communicant yet struggled with his temper - seems to me he did all right!

    https://www.catholicireland.net/antoni-gaudi/

At school Gaudi said he learned the “value of the divine history of the salvation of man through Christ incarnate”.

Saint, genius or madman --- only God knows!

But I have a sense he knew the God incarnate.

I was surprised at the suggestion that Gaudi was a Mason because I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that there was a possibility of opening a cause for his beatification.

I'm told by people who have visited the Cathedral in Barcelona that it is beautiful. I also read a comment (can't remember where) from someone saying that the Catalan government would turn it into a secularist museum if they had their way.

    I agree with Padraig Carol,
I remember when you started here not so very long ago and you were hungry for information, but still had a steep learning curve to go up. You have gone up that curve very rapidly though. Now it seems the student has become the master :)
