Seriously!? Take a closer look: America is a modern day killing machine. The rest of the world are terrified of your leaders. You supply waponry by the bucketload: indiscriminate killing machinery and then go and supply it to tyrants for profit. The world doesn't know what your leaders are going to do next; which nation you're going to attack. And by the way, I'm not a raving terrorist or anything, in fact I love America- I've visited many times. But your leaders are bringing Gods disappointment upon you. And make no mistake, I do not support those awful cowards who attack through terrorism. ....really, take a long hard look at the actions of your leaders on the world stage. I'm not anti-Trump or pro Obama or anything. I simply feel your leaders over generations have let you down. Obama dropped something like a bomb every 90 seconds of his last year in office; while over the same time period Putin paid off the last of the Russian international debt. Who's the threat??? Think about it. Loyalty isn't defined as blindly following your leaders no matter what. Loyalty is questioning serious actions, which are oftentimes required. Yes, sometimes America - like all countries, must defend itself. And it helped greatly in the defeat of nazism. That is not in dispute. Oh, and America dropping two nukes on 2 cities with no economic nor military significance - wiping out millions of innocent people in the process was not done in the name of my freedom. Spot on. The reason China is the threat and has been for a great many years is simple Jack. They are communists. A great example is looking at the Catholic Church there. On the face of it one thinks oh this is wonderful, Catholicism in China is growing, and this IS good. However, the communists there have only allowed this because they have stacked the deck with regard to the church. Its leadership are members they have chosen. They keep a tight grip over the Church and its members. One thing that is easy to overlook are the decades of partnership America has had with China economically. We have taken this road so as to avoid a war with them. As China has grown in economic prosperity it has continued to peruse its communist goals. Pushing into Latin America via Venezuela and threatening the defensive umbrella the US has put into place in the Western Pacific. Anyone remember the US plane forced to land in China? The Chinese spies caught stealing intel in the US? Now, we see NK with nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to the continental US as well as to any of it's neighbors. Read about the long history of barbarism and genocide of these nations and one will find that given the chance NK would nuke Japan into oblivion. Just look at its rhetoric toward them after firing missiles over their homeland with no warning! Causing Japanese people to hide in shelters for fear of being attacked. China is the neighbor of this nation and ought to be the one leading the charge to maintain peace. Instead, they use empty platitudes in the UN and are using NK as a dog on a chain to threaten and probe the defensive capabilities of the allied nations. Clearly China has no intention of loosening its grip or abandoning its goals of spreading communism throughout the world. Just as Russia did. So yes, China is the threat. Why don't you mention that America is ranked the most generous nation in the world in terms of what we give to the poor? Why don't you ask the South Koreans if they like their freedom of if they would rather live under the North Korean regime? Why don't you ask all of Western Europe, The U.K. and Ireland if they would enjoy living under a Fascist or Communist dictatorship run by Germany or the Soviet Union? Why don't you ask the peoples of Southeastern Asia, Australia and New Zealand if they would like to have been living as a part of the Japanese Empire for the last century? Why don't you ask the people of the Caribbean countries if they are thankful for all of the American aid when they are destroyed time and again by hurricanes? Why don't you ask all of the many countries who receive huge amounts of monetary aid annually if they would rather not have it? Why don't you ask the peoples of Southeastern Asia who were hit by that giant Tsunami in the early 2000's if they would rather not have had the American aid we sent to them? Why don't you ask the Kuwaiti's if they would have liked to have been absorbed by Saddaam Hussein? Has America made mistakes? Yes we have. Many of them. But so has every other country in the world. We are not the horrible bullies and thugs you make us out to be though. There is a reason people are clambering to get into this country. No one is clambering to go live in Russia or China. People aren't risking their lives to go live in dictatorships. @jackzokay I share your opinion. It doesn´t matter which country you are looking at. The governments do what they do not because they are interested in what is the best for the people, they do what lobbyists want them to do. Here in Germany it´s obvious for more and more people, looking at their own government. Especially foreign policy is for reaching own interests, not for bringing democracy, freedom or peace. By regarding national laws, in Europe it seems that the eastern part is really more christian than germany, france and other western countries. For example abortion or homosexuality is restricted in Hungary, Poland, Russia. In Germany if you critize such issues you are claimed to be a nazi.
There's a local catholic newsletter produced by the church here in Ireland. It's called 'alive' (it can probably be read online - it's fantastic) it covers many issues and talks of the 'group think' tendencies of government organisations such as our national tv broadcaster here in Ireland, RTE. But the BBC, universities,, newspapers.... practically every organisation I can think of all promote the same group-think ethos. And should an individual dare to go against their group-think ideals; then woe to them. The individual in question will feel their wrath. Its getting more and more difficult to call a spade a spade these days. The media back it all up. The American media, for example, have historically and recurrently vilified many nations, and has a lot to answer for. They attacked Iraq after being whipped-up by a lying media on grounds of that country having WMD: and subsequently found none! The average American is paranoid about getting attacked by china or Russia or whoever. But who really would attack America? The Japs got battered for it in 1945. Afghanistan got annihilated for being suspected of it after 911. Meanwhile, back in the world where national paranoia isn't the driving force: - Russia pays-off its national debt (just last year). - China thrives financially. And America? Well, she continues to spend more and more on war machinery and continues also to accumulate masses and masses of debt, enslaving its future generations and causing continued hardship via austerity. I think all that I am asking is that America and its people pause, and take time to reflect on another way. There must be a better way...
If you are saying that the U.S. suffers from horrible moral decay then you are correct. But that is no different from any other nation. No better or worse. I don't dismiss what you say out of hand. It troubles me because I love my country dearly. My son died serving my country. But I would be blind not to know how far we have strayed and how deeply we have offended God. I do believe Trump's election was a mitigation of the chastisement. His enemies seem to be those aligned lockstep against God's commandments. But our president needs MUCH prayer because he is up against the dragon himself and I don't think he realizes it. I am so alarmed at Ireland. How fast and how far it has fallen. Ireland!! It was always held up to me as Catholic Ireland home of saints and scholars where the faith endured in spite of " dungeon fire and sword". This to me is a chilling sign of the times we are in. Believe me, I'm am not taking cheap shots at your country. My own country has been infiltrated too. The frustrating thing is, it's the hearts and minds of ordinary people that have been lost. I come from a big Catholic family. I am the only one practising my faith. The pews are empty in Ireland.
