Clare, Sometimes we're tempted to rate the journey to May 13th based on feelings or inspirations, but the key is to keep plugging no matter how many times we stumble. Mary can do great things through a determined heart. Right now, I'm leaning toward going back to Gaitley next year, myself. Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
Hi Mario, Yes it was a beautiful consecration day! I'm sorry I have not replied until now. On Saturday the 13 May, I was able to say a morning rosary and do the consecration straight after. My husband actually prayed that rosary with me! Which I feel was a wonderful blessing. One thing I did was after my personal consecration, was to also consecrated my husband, my children and my grandchildren to the Immaculate Heart as well! The last few days have flown. I've spent mothers day with one of my children and her husband and my grandchildren, it was beautiful, also one of my sons who lives in Sydney is coming home today, for a couple of weeks! I am so happy! Thank you Mario for all the trouble you've taken this year with this consecration thread and also Sam and Potatosack in the last few years, I know you will all be blessed for this great work you have accomplished. God Bless
I would also like to add my thanks to you, Mario, for providing the daily consecration posts. I sure do appreciate it. I look forward to doing it again with the group next year.
Thank God Our Lady can look after everything for us following the Consecration, and we can leave everything in Her hands! It definitely felt worthwhile making the 33 day consecration. I can feel the difference in my life and I have felt the urge to renew it everyday like Saint John Paul did. Hope everyone else found the Consecration worthwhile.
Your confidence of entrusting everything into her hands is just what I need to hear. A couple of stressful situations have reached a crescendo in my life at this time, and it's like Mary is standing near, smiling, reminding me that she can handle it. Thanks! Come Holy Spirit, living in Mary, may You and your beloved spouse guide me on peaceful paths of resolution!
Dear Mario, I have some good news for you. At least in Julia's world it is good news. I have been taking a statue of Our lady of Fatima to as many venues as I can manage to Glorify God in His great gift to us all, through Our Lady of Fatima. Today, the feast of the Visitation, I brought the statue to the main big hospital in my town. It was an adventure; because to bring a 'disguised' statue of 36 42 inches tall right through the main corridor of the hospital could have got me arrested in these times of uncertainty and security. But I was prepared to take what came. In the end all was ok. The Fatima statue was present for Holy Mass, as I had dreamed. Now Blessed Mother can bring her God given graces and blessings to all her children, the old, the young, the unborn, in-patients, out-patients and Chaplins too. Along with all staff and visitors to that hospital. And here is where you have become a member of Blessed Mothers team of servants. Every one who contributed to my effort is considered a member of the team. So I had copied the Magnificat in the form of a hymn to share with those who attended this Holy Mass, and on the back of the sheet I copied the Saint Luis de Montefort Consecration to Jesus through Mary in the hope the Priest would say the prayer on this very special day. I thought we would sing at the end of Mass. To make a long story short, the Priest decided without any announcement that we would sing the Magnificat before Mass started, and to my utter delight he said the Consecration to Jesus through Mary at the end of Mass. You my friend had posted the short form of the Consecration on this thread on 12th May, where Julia found it and used it for this awesome experience. One of those present had objected to the Consecration on account of the limited time we had, as the room where Mass is said is shared by every Faith under the sun. But I could sense the Priest visibly moved as the Mass progressed and ended with the Consecration; because I do believe the Holy Spirit moved him. I am still in a state of awe at how everything turned out. Totally awesome. And thank you Mario for the help you gave Our Blessed Mother in her mission with me this year, to reach as many children as she can. God bless you.
I would like to try and make the Consecration to Jesus through Immaculate Heart of Mary again. If we start today 5th November 2017, we are ready for the Consecration on 8th December 2017. Just posting in case anyone might be interested. God bless.
Julia, I believe this is always a marvelous idea. Unfortunately, the demands on my time make it impossible for me to participate. I pray others step up to the plate! Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
I'm going to do it Julia but it's too late for me to start today. Is there any reason why I can't start tomorrow and be a day late doing the Consecration? Does the Consecration have to be on a Marian feast day?
I am no expert Dolours; but I am sure you could start tomorrow and finish on time. The first twelve days readings only take five minutes, so if you click on day One you could get todays in.. in a jiffy. It is not midnight yet her in UK.
Thanks, Julia, I took your advice and have done the reading and said the very brief prayer for day one, although it was after midnight. Coincidentally, I had already resolved to do the consecration. I had picked up a copy of the book yesterday but left in in my car and it went out of my head until I read your post. I think your post must have been a little nudge to me from the Blessed Mother. Thank you.
I could be showing my ignorance here, but I think that you could do days one and two today and be prepared for the actual consecration on the 8th December. Hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
I have a couple of the free copies of Fr Gaitely's booklet version of 33 Days to Morning Glory, I will post them to anyone who would like one (well, the first two people to PM me with their address!).
