Abortion in Ireland

Did anyone else see about the Citizen's Convention on the 8th amendment (protection of the life of the unborn) on the news yesterday. It seems like they are pushing for more liberal abortion and RTE are going along with it, as they do. Apparently the majority are calling for a less restrictive abortion "regime" (as they phrased it), whatever that can possibly mean. Ireland already has a very permissive stance on abortion since the introduction of the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act 2013, which now allows abortion up to 9 months gestation if the mother is deemed suicidal or other conditions are met. That convention seems like it was preordained.

I believe the amount of submissions to the Citizens Assembly for a change to the 8th outnumbered those against. Which makes me wonder how badly organized Catholics in Ireland are and how many just leave these kind of things up to others.

They seem to be pushing for it, and more than likely they will get it through. Ireland has lost a lot of its blessing, especially since the introduction of SSM in 2015. If they get abortion through we will really lose our blessing from above, unfortunately.

Yes, I think abortion on Irish soil will be the last straw for God but I really pray it is something he will not allow to happen. I do feel the current government may help better than the last one and maybe the change of government in USA may destabilize the NWO agenda. Keep praying.

Do we not have to have a referendum? Not that I'd be confident anymore.

The culture of death is taking over. A lot of people, very young, very old and disabled are going to die before this culture is upended, I'm afraid.

I think we have a referendum DeGaulle, as far as I know. You are right, the culture of death has really taken over, or "the great death wish" as Malachi Martin called it.

I don't have much confidence in Martin, but at least Labour have been annihilated.

I wouldn't knock Catholics in Ireland too much. Our leaders are pitiful, in the Church and civilly, and the Molochites consist of many, if not most of the political class, almost the entire media, the US corporates and with enormous backing, much of it financial, from the international Death Industry, the UN, the EU and so forth.

Our elites will even tell us that it will be good for the environment to have less of us, although you won't see too many of them volunteering for the needle.

A dark day indeed. Quite a large number were even recommending to have it unrestricted till 24 weeks, or not restricted at all, which goes to show the mindset of those involved in this so-called citizen's convention. This country has fallen into darkness.
