Dolours, Thank you once again. I think you are correct on all of this. Joesphite mentioned the exact scripture which has me confused, Rev 19:19-21 which makes it seem like a FP and an AC will exist at the same time at some point but if/when I don't know.

I calculated approximate time of Teaching of Jesus: 3 years 3 months (and maybe 3 days)
The time allowed to Antichrist could be 7 years 7 months 7 days
    (=2300 e.-m.<Dan9>+ 5 months<Rev9> + 1290 days<Dan12>)

My pleasure, Carol, if it helped you. Truth be told, you (and probably most people posting here) are far better informed about these matters than I because I only know the basics and am inclined to cling to them. While I enjoy reading others' assessments/speculations/educated opinions, I tend to compare them with the basics outlined in my previous post. If doing so gives the impression that I know more than the basics, it's a false impression.

Incidentally, thank you for your very nice comment on the other thread. It lifted my spirits at what is a rough time - one relative died and another on the brink.

I am very sorry for your loss and what you are going through. Your welcome, I meant what I said and I am glad that I could lift your spirits.
I think that you are smart to stick to the basics. Thank you for the compliment but I am a novice. What is that expression, the more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know. That is how this is for me.

    Be at peace Dolours,

You have the same questions as I do!

I take no offence at peoples questions!

I have enough children to known that with their [the childrens] trillion questions and my feeble answers [i'm carrying a cross uphill!], as my presentation of the truths on the Catholic faith seem so simplistic and don't seem to hold water in their view, so my ability to hand on the faith seems very dubious and this is a real worry for me!

The questions my children confront me with, reflect the state of my childs soul and there is not only an unsteadiness there but also a wayfaring element. Their questions are deep routed in secular beliefs and are entrenched in todays culture to a large degree.

What we discuss here are the peripheries of the gentile established church! whereas, what my children love to discuss are the robust nitty gritty of the spiritual world in regards to its relevance to the individual soul and so therefore the churches apparent [in their veiw] dissidence from reality.

I'm just going to say it - I could be wrong, but from everything LV has posted, I *THINK* he believes that Pope Francis is the AC and that the Abomination of Desolation will be a changing of the words after the memorial acclamation:

    "Therefore, as we celebrate
the memorial of his Death and Resurrection,
    we offer you, Lord,
the Bread of life and the Chalice of salvation,
giving thanks that you have held us worthy
to be in your presence and minister to you."

I believe, that these words are what make the Mass a sacrifice, an offering back to God the Father, just as the Hebrews offered to God their sacrifice of a lamb for their sins. They offered it to God, and then consumed. It would not be a sacrifice if this offering to God did not take place. Therefore, if after the Consecration these words to God are omitted or changed slightly as to indicate that there is no offering to God the Father, then the Mass is invalid and Abomination of Desolation. Perhaps LV believes that it is Pope Francis who will bring this about? Please, I could see that LV did not want to come out in plain words and say this (IF, IF this is what he thinks. I beg LV to kindly correct me if I am wrong in my speculation) and I am NOT starting a Pope Francis war, please don't start that one!!

LV, I am just bumping your comment here for DivineMercy to see. All conversations pertaining to Pope Francis need to wait until after 12/25 per Padraig.

DM, Padraig does not want any further discussion about the Pope until after Christmas. If this is in fact LV's opinion I would pay little attention to it at this point.

It is not important what LV thinks or knows. Only thing is important: Every pope, who would change words in Eucharistic prayer - and this can do ONLY A POPE - from we offer you to we remember the sacrifice, is ANTICHRIST and the greatest Blasphemer in history of the World.
And that a pope will be AC, said not only st Paul, but also st. John

The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while. The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king

    Five fallen -
st. Petrus, st. Linus, st. Anacletus, st. Clement I and st. Evaristus. Fallen like martyrs.
one is - today, when I write the Revelation - st. Alexander I
other has not yet come - he is the last, the seventh, pope
but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while. - he will be defeated by the st. Michael in the Warning, because he spreads heresies and God will tolerate him for only a little while.
The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king - but after he was defeated and revealed as the Beast-AC-, he will again usurp pontifical power, and so he becomes the eighth king, destroyer, pope not sent by God, and he will remove the Holy Sacrifice, for he cannot more spreads heresies, since in the Warning was the truth revealed to all. His only power over believers is the power to remove the Sacrifice.

    From CCC
1125 For this reason no sacramental rite may be modified or manipulated at the will of the minister or the community. Even the supreme authority in the Church may not change the liturgy arbitrarily, but only in the obedience of faith and with religious respect for the mystery of the liturgy.

The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity. At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavour to draw many into error and death.

There will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people, the religious and the clergy, that, except those days were shortened, according to the words of the Gospel, even the elect would be led into error, were they not specially guided, amid such great confusion, by the immense mercy of God.

Those who preserve their fervour and adhere to virtue with love and zeal for the truth, will suffer injuries and, persecutions as rebels and schismatics; for their persecutors, urged on by the evil spirits, will say they are rendering a great service to God by destroying such pestilent men from the face of the earth. But the Lord will be the refuge of the afflicted, and will save all who trust in Him. And in order to be like their Head [Jesus Christ], these, the elect, will act with confidence, and by their death will purchase for themselves eternal life; choosing to obey God rather than man, they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to perish [physically] rather than consent to falsehood and perfidy.

Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer.

In 1130, Pope Honorius II lay dying and the cardinals decided that they would entrust the election to a commission of eight men, led by papal chancellor Haimeric, who had his candidate Cardinal Gregory Papareschi hastily elected as Pope Innocent II. He was consecrated on February 14, the day after Honorius' death.
On the same day, the other cardinals, led by the senior Cardinal Bishop, Pietro of Porto, met with the leaders of Rome in the Basilica of S. Marco, and announced that Innocent had not been canonically elected. He nominated Cardinal Pietro Pierleoni, a Roman whose family were the enemy of Haimeric's supporters the Frangipani, who was elected by the Cardinals, clergy, nobility and People of Rome. Anacletus' supporters included the entire Roman aristocracy, with the exception of the Frangipani, and the majority of the Cardinals. With the support of the People, and in opposition to the French Haimeric, the Pierleoni were powerful enough to take control of Rome, while Innocent was forced to flee north of the Alps.
However, north of the Alps, Innocent gained the crucial support of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, Peter the Venerable, and other prominent reformers who personally helped him to gain recognition from European rulers such as Emperor Lothar III, leaving Anacletus with few patrons. Anacletus had been a relatively acceptable candidate for the Papacy, being well-respected, so rumors centering on his descent from a Jewish convert were spread to blacken his reputation. Among Anacletus' supporters were duke William X of Aquitaine, who decided for Anacletus against the will of his own bishops, and the powerful Roger II of Sicily, whose title of "King of Sicily" Anacletus had approved by papal bull after his accession.
According to an account put forward in 1871 by Abbé Cucherat, Malachy was summoned to Rome in 1139 by Pope Innocent II to receive two wool palliums for the metropolitan sees of Armagh and Cashel. While in Rome, Malachy purportedly experienced a vision of future popes, which he recorded as a sequence of cryptic phrases.

Someone on the Unveiling the Apocalypse blog noted that on October 7th 2016 there was a thunderstorm in Rome. Apparently lightning struck St. Peter's Basilica again but no one has photos of the lightning strike. Someone else determined that between the time of the February 11, 2013 lightning strike that was well documented with photos and the October 7th 2016 lightning strike there were transpired 1335 days. Make of it what you want. My thoughts are that the time of grace is winding down. Is everybody praying the rosary and fasting? Start anew, if not.

The lightening were predicted: When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour (- half century). And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. Then come four angels announcing the acts of Antichrist and his people. Short before the Fall of Babylon, The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake.

Explanation is in following sentence: No (spiritual) earthquakelike it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, God never sent flashes into His own Temple. The great City split into three parts - saints following the Truth, wicked ones remaining with Antichrist, and lukewarm people.

And I can add to 1335 days: you can see here the antitipation of last days: 45 days of preparation from February 11 to March 18 and 1290 days from March 19 to October 7.

Has anyone heard of the original Hebrew-English translation of the Bible? I think it's called Tanakh.
There is certainly a significance to 12,000 being associated with each tribe. What that is, I don't know. But clearly the multitude consists of us Gentiles.
