today, in these uncertain times, I will stick with the tried and true....The Mass, Adoration, Confession, Fasting, Liturgy of the Hours, Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet and my Carmelite vocation. I think this pleases God.....He knows I am trying

Very wise Donna. People are becoming more brash and vulgar by the day. We saw this during the election campaign where the measure of a candidate was how many millions he or she could allocate or collect for the campaign. Don't think that I'm just pointing the finger at Americans on this because at least the Americans are honest about it. It's the same elsewhere in the world but it's kept beneath the surface. What they don't hide is their willingness to demonise the opposition with accusations verging on slander......tactics employed by all sides. Every opponent is treated as a sworn enemy. It's a kind of sickness that can only end in disaster.

People are becoming ever more vicious. Politics brings out into the open what is rampant in society. It's easy to turn up our noses at the antics of politicians but they're really an exaggerated version of what we see all around us. I see traces of it on the forum where disagreements can lead to questioning people's faith.

American politics has become very polarised. In this it is only reflecting society. Fifty years ago differences between most people in their moral world-views were narrow. Now there is a near fifty-fifty split between those who adhere to some form of the Natural Law and those who profess modernist, liberal narco-gnosticism. There can be no possible compromise between such irreconcilable positions. Therefore, it is inevitable that war, or something very close to it, is the response. The sheep have to separate from the goats.

It is regrettable to see traces of such disagreement in this forum. Our differences of opinion are not extreme enough to justify it at all.

St. John Paul II predicted "The Storm" in 1976 at a Eucharistic Congress in Philadelphia (he was then a cardinal):

"We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. I do not think that the wide circle of the American Society, or the whole wide circle of the Christian Community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-church, between the gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the Antichrist. The confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence. It is, therefore, in God's Plan, and it must be a trial which the Church must take up, and face courageously."

Then there is Ralph Martin and "The Prophecy of Rome" made at the Vatican in 1975 in the presence of Pope Paul VI:

"Because I love you, I want to show you what I am doing in the world today. I want to prepare you for what is to come. Days of darkness are coming on the world, days of tribulation… Buildings that are now standing will not be standing. Supports that are there for my people now will not be there. I want you to be prepared, my people, to know only me and to cleave to me and to have me in a way deeper than ever before. I will lead you into the desert… I will strip you of everything that you are depending on now, so you depend just on me. A time of darkness is coming on the world, but a time of glory is coming for my Church, a time of glory is coming for my people. I will pour out on you all the gifts of my Spirit. I will prepare you for spiritual combat; I will prepare you for a time of evangelism that the world has never seen…. And when you have nothing but me, you will have everything: land, fields, homes, and brothers and sisters and love and joy and peace more than ever before. Be ready, my people, I want to prepare you…"

Many of today's talked about "prophets" have co-opted this true message, "branded" it with current cultural references and their own little flourishes, and are literally "dining out on" the insights of genuine prophets as they come true.

(Which reminds me: Malachi asked for a list of prophecies that CJ made that have been proven correct last Wednesday. How about just one unique and unexpected prediction that's fulfilled?)

The fact that he predicted that Sanders or Clinton would not be President is HUGE!!! Considering that both had the popular vote and billions spent on their campaigns it's quite surprising CJ got it right. As for the last Christmas being celebrated...well...in Syria today the birthplace of Christianity there is no more Christmas. I don't remember if Charlie's prediction gave us the exact location where Christmas would end. Either way he was correct on those two predictions.

Sanders or Clinton prediction is not really HUGE (or should it be YUGE)? :)

Charlie repeatedly said no one from political life would be the next president. Sanders and Clinton clearly are part of political life. In his prediction Charlie included Trump, even though Trump is a first-time candidate. In fact, he said last year that the presidential election would not even be held this year. That's in the Birmingham dinner video from July 2015 on Charlie's website.

As for the last normal Christmas being 2013, there is always war and disaster somewhere. You could easily make the case that 2000 was "the last normal Christmas" since 9/11 altered the trajectory of history and the US entered into an open-ended war in the Mideast. You could say 2015 was "the last normal Christmas" because more than a million Muslim immigrants flooded into Europe in that year, which I believe is the largest recorded mass migration in history. This undoubtedly proved a major threat to Christianity. Among the reasons Charlie gave for calling 2013 the last normal Christmas was an alleged government regulation of Christmas lights (can't prove it in my neighborhood)!

The two predictions you cite were not unique (unforeseen by anyone else), detailed, and well before the event. In an earlier post I gave an example of a firefighter who allegedly received a word in 2011 that Trump would be president. There are also the genuine Catholic prophecies from Rwanda (visions of bodies and rivers running red) and Fatima (a great sign given during the last apparition).

Just for fun: In 2000 during The Simpsons 11th season, the writers predicted a Trump Presidency.

I'm no Trump fan, but Hillary's State Department is known to have meddled in the Russian elections to try to have Putin defeated and thwart Russia's influence in Ukraine, to further Soros' vendetta against Russia.

I don't know that their recent election "tampering" - if it's not FAKE NEWS altogether - was so much for Trump as it was simply opportunistic payback for Hillary's duplicity.

It is not about the Pope, as you say. It is about praying for him, our Cardinal's, Bishops and Priests, as alleged prophecy is requesting. I am sorry if every time the Pope is mentioned somehow it is negative with some. We all can see what is happening to our Church and we are asked as faithful to pray for our Church and leaders, not bury our heads in the sand at this crucial point.

A friend pointed out tonight that Hillary also meddled in Israel's elections, trying to get Netanyahu defeated. The Israelis certainly could have pulled this off in retribution.

I don't believe there has been anyone on this forum that isn't gravely concerned with the state of the Church. Prayers for the Pope and the church hierarchy is our duty of love, not anger. All here are united in that.
If sometimes we look at what is coming out of the Vatican with shock, we are human.
