This gave me a giggle because it conjured up images of terrified Chinese and Russians running away from US forces under the command of transgender officers warning their men/women/either troops to be careful that the rpg's and missiles don't damage the landscape. How long before there will be mandatory quotas of LBGT officers?

 

Our Founders, being students of history & Human Nature, knew what would come in the future and thus left US the Constitution/Bill of Rights and good examples/visions of Faith/Civic Duty!

A while back, a strong storm approached from Mexico. After I looked out the den window, I watched the radar on my computer. JUST as it was over our home, it blew up. Torrential rain came down from the heavens, but my rain gauge did not show anything because the rain was blowing sideways. My anemometer broke (it is not suppose to do that at wind speeds below 60 mph).


I did not know or suspect that American flag that we had in the front yard had blown away, but that night just before I went to bed, I ordered “An Appeal to Heaven” flag.


When our country was trying to break away from England, for a time it did not look like we would succeed. Then someone had an inspiration, this flag. It was flown over many buildings and homes during the American Revolution.

Several years ago, Father Cupich (soon to be Cardinal Cupich) was my brothers pastor in Omaha. When my niece received communion she knelt. He scolded her right in the spot as a young girl and told her never to do that again in his parish! Yup, another example of the Church Pope Francis wants to see.

I don't know much about Cupich but I know what I have read I am leery about. Our bishop (Tucson) is retiring. I pray we get an Orthodox bishop to replace him. Our current one is not too bad but Tucson doesn't need more liberalism.

 

How awful! Our parish is the only one I know of in Dallas where we receive on our knees at the communion rail. That's the number one reason we're parishioners there.

Oh yes, AED, we certainly are! There are any number of parishes closer to our house, but we love it that Holy Communion is received at the communion rail at every single Mass at ours.

 

What kind of a priest would scold a young girl for receiving communion on her knees? Obviously, one that does not believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. I cannot imagine any priest believing in the real presence of Jesus ever doing this. So they made him a bishop and soon to be cardinal by Pope Francis. Yes, it is not just the laity who have lost the sense of the Real Presence, but it is priests, bishops and cardinals. I wonder if anyone has heard our pope talk on the Real Presence? It is true that in his whole document on family and marriage, not once did he mention adultery, so who knows.

 

Speaking of communion on your knees and altar rails, my bro-in-law is a priest and wherever he has been installed as the Parish Pastor, he has had the tabernacle built into the wall behind the altar so that it cannot be moved, and has had the altar rails re-installed if they were gone so people can kneel for communion. One good priest trying to do what he can...

 

Oh, trust me..... others can and will remove it from front and center. I have witnessed it.
