The "Book of Destiny" by Fr. Herman Kramer and "The Apocalypse of St. John" by Fr. Sylvester Berry are great classic resources for this type of information. They do a great job at decoding the book of the Apocalypse using early Church fathers and Catholic biblical study as reference.

 

Yes, it is very possible that the city of Rome will be the seat of the AC, although there are a few cities built on seven hills that could also qualify. I think that the AC will be seated in Jerusalem because most prophecy states that he will be accepted by a majority of the Jews, in addition, it seems like he will be destroyed there. Prophecy also states that the AC will "conquer" Rome but I think that the False Prophet will be seated in the Vatican. I also think that some non-Catholics take their shots at us so to speak by stating that Rome/the Vatican is Babylon from Revelations but once the AC/FP are in control, the Vatican will no longer be of the true RCC or of Christ.

 

The prospect of the AC being seated in Jerusalem has also occurred to me. I think that Jerusalem is also built on seven hills. And yes, I believe that the AC will be destroyed in Jerusalem because that's when Jesus will return in the same way that He ascended into Heaven, except that the whole world will be able to see his coming whereas only a handful witnessed His ascension.

Ever since the Reformation, Protestants have been "interpreting" Sacred Scripture to blame the Catholic Church for everything that has is and will be wrong in the world.

I agree that the false prophet will be someone very high up in the Church, either a senior Cardinal or an Anti-Pope. Otherwise, how could the faithful and even some of the elect be deceived? There is the "if that were possible" qualification to the "some of the elect" prophecy.

Jesus is upon the Cross at midday. In this time of trial let us be found at the Cross with Mary and John! For most of the companions were then hiding in fear, but this time the "end of the Year of Mercy" approaches and second chances will be few and far between!

That's right, Carol, you didn't say that he would be a member of the hierarchy.

On reflection, I'm not so sure that he will be a member of the Church. The true faith will likely be so weak by then that it wouldn't be hard to lead many people astray. We expect the Church to be persecuted and when real persecution happens people tend to clutch at straws to save themselves and their families. When Henry Vlll broke from the Church St. John Fisher was the only Bishop who resisted. There's no reason to suppose that something similar couldn't happen globally.

We're inclined to fit prophecy into the world as we know it with nation states and bishops in regular contact with Rome and the Pope but we are seeing already a shift away from nation states. What if we had a world where, say, there were a handful of regional governments (maybe one for each of the continents) all subject to a central super-powerful world government? In such a world, a persecuted, underground Church would be disjointed with very little contact between Bishops and possibly no contact with the Pope. There could even be a situation like in China where there is a Government recognised Church and an underground Church at the same time. It wouldn't be so very difficult in such a scenario for government approved Bishops to lead many people astray by following a false prophet for self preservation or out of some misplaced sense of loyalty as happened in England. What if that false prophet were the "Jesus" the Muslims are expecting to come and lead them in their final battle against non-believers? Wouldn't it be easier for them to persuade people who don't know the faith that they are following the real Jesus? By that time there could even be a revised, politically correct bible with the true bible being banned.

To be honest, I find it all very confusing. I don't know how the conversion of the Jews fits in. We know that the final battle will be in Jerusalem so presumably the Jews will have been converted by then but if that's the case will all the remnant be located in Jerusalem? I'm even beginning to wonder whether the final False Prophet and the AC will be one and the same because the Bible tells us that there will be many false prophets. Maybe it's best to follow the Church's advice to live each day as though it will be our last and not get sidetracked by spending too much time worrying about the future.

I have read that mystery Babylon during the age of the Apostles was Israel. It was the code used to describe the Jews who persecuted the Christians. The false prophet is Islam. The false Church is the Protestant one or freemasonry. We must remind ourselves always that those who deny Christ and his divinity, let alone the Trinity are anti Christ's. Notice Netanyahu involved in the U.S. debate. The first and only country who our leaders must have a meeting with to discuss our loyalty to them at all times. What would our founding fathers say? Are we truly a sovereign country? All the trillions spent on endless bloody wars. Who was behind that foreign policy? Putin?

I remember reading something a few years abck from a very old book, Terry. It went,

'The first duty of every Catholic is to save their soul'.

This stuck with me and I though about it because it seemed so selfish. I mean look after yourself first. But then I thought about it and its makes sense. For of course if you do not yuorself avoid hell you are not oging to save everyone else. So in the case of our own personal salvation charity does indeed begin at home.

But of course the trouble is no one ever talks about hell or eteneranl damnation anymore, do they?

In other words a sure and certain remedy for Modernist poison. If you want one sure sign of a Modernist Bishop or Cardinal I'll give you one. He's a guy who won;t let a statue of Our LAdy of Fatima within a hundred miles of his Episcopl;a Front Door!!

..and this will of course involve a Russian invasion of Italy/ Europe and I do not see how this would be possible without some kind of limited nuclear exchange, a Third World War in fact. Padraig the apparition of Our Lady of Good Success happened 400 years ago. In the year 1610, not even the French Revolution had occurred. The war she predicted then may very well have been from the French Revolution to WWII. What makes you think Russia will invade Italy today?

Approved Catholic Prophecy speaks of such an invasion for sometime in the future.

Catholic prophecy speaks of a future invasion of the heart of Christendom (Western Europe) both by Muslim and Russian armies. Right now (under current conditions) the only credible threat the Russians pose to anyone (beside military lightweights such as Chechnya) is a nuclear threat. According to Catholic prophecy from many approved Catholic prophets (Canonized Saints, Blessed and Venerable), the following scenario is in store for some time in the future.

[As you may guess, Desmond does not think it is the far distant future.] By the way, my European contacts, several of whom work in/with several European intelligence communities, confirm that several nations are in deep trouble as far as internal integrity - i.e., it would not take a great deal to kick them over the edge into civil disorder. 1. Sometime in the future France and Italy go into civil war at almost the same time - France will probably be first. This happens after an economic collapse that is quite general throughout Europe (My personal assessment is that this will be more or less worldwide). We also have an Italian, Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, prophesying about the same revolution inFrance (By the way, these prophecies are not speaking about the 'French Revolution', which was long over when these prophecies were made in the 19th century);

"France shall fall into a frightful anarchy. The French shall have a desperate civil war during the course of which even old men will take up arms." (Page 363, TTT)

Another approved prophet, Fr. Nectou (a Jesuit Provincial in France) prophesied about a future civil war in France. He was not prophesying the late 18th century 'French Revolution', because he speaks of the total destruction of Paris, which has not yet happened, and he speaks of it being a general condition "not confined to France".

"During this Revolution, which will very likely be general and not confined to France, Paris will be destroyed…" Fr. Nectou goes on to describe what many of us call the "Age of Peace" as following this time of Revolution.

"Justice will reign throughout the whole world, and the counterrevolution will be accomplished." (TTT, p. 351) [The meaning of the term "counterrevolution" is explained in this section of TTT.]

2. There are numerous other approved Catholic prophets quoted in TTT describing the same thing. This entire scenario will take civil authorities by surprise, certainly as to the speed with which things develop. The Vatican will be one of the few authorities that will not be surprised. This will be largely due to the fact that there are a number of orthodox men in the Vatican who are very knowledgeable about Catholic Church approved prophecies

3. The civil war in both France and Italy will take on a specifically anti-Catholic animus. This civil war in France will develop basically into a general war between Catholics (and a few allies) and the anti-Christian forces (particularly in France) which have been running those countries for centuries. That ruling pattern began with the French Revolution in France. It began/culminated with Garibaldi in Italy.

4. The Catholics will be on the verge of being wiped out in France, when, a great military Catholic leader will come to the fore in France. (The prophecies lead me to believe that by this point, the Catholics and Protestants are fighting on the same [Christian] side against anti-Christian forces.)

5. ABOUT THE SAME TIME, A RUSSIAN ARMY WITH SOME "PRUSSIAN" (spell that East German) COUNTERPARTS WILL INVADE FRANCE AND SURROUNDING COUNTRIES. The Russians will invade out of desperation. It will match their historic pattern. Whenever the Russians have gotten hungry or desperate, historically, they have driven South into the Ukrainian Steps, or East into Poland in order to get what they need. This is a six hundred year old pattern. In this prophesied case, they opt to march West, and do not stop at Poland.

Sr. Elena Aiello made the following prophecy in 1959. She was the founder of the order of the "Calabrians", an Italian order of nuns.

"Russia will march upon all the major nations of Europe." (TTT p. 392)

Speaking of the same time and events, Fr. Nectou prophesied,

"In a second battle at Frankfurt, the Prussians lost again and retreated as far as Siegburg, where they were joined with a Russian army. The Russians made common cause with the Prussians." (That most probably means troops from former East Germany) (TTT, p. 347)

This is also very much in line with Our LAdy of Fatima were Russia is spoken of as a stick to beat the West (to punish us for our sins) ..hence the urgent call for the Consecration of Russia. It is also spoken of very widely and specifically at Garabandal.
