  1. I have recently been introduced to praying in the Divine Will, and feel Our Lady has definitely led me on this way, from trying to be faithful to the practice of the True Devotion to Mary for some years.
To be honest some of the discoveries I have made are truly mind blowing and profound, and most certainly hold a serious message for the times we live in.
I have also discovered that some 90% of people who do the Divine Will have been also practising the True Devotion to Mary already.
I would encourage anybody reading this to get on board with the writings of Luisa Piccareta. If enough people do this the good Lord can renew the world through His Spirit!!

I completely agree! This gift, reserved for this time, is the answer to the prayer of Jesus, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." And it is mind-blowing. Jesus told Luisa that this sanctity does not depend on our holiness but only on our whole-hearted Fiat, and He does the rest.

I have read a little about this and listened to a couple of the podcasts. I am a bit confused though. I hear this is a "new devotion" sometimes. Is this not the same thing as the saints have always done just aligning our wills with God's or is there something indeed new and different about it?

Here's my understanding: Saints in the past imitated the human life of Jesus, followed His will for them and lived in His will to the best of their knowledge.

This is called a "new and divine holiness", because it's an invitation to live IN the Divine Will and do acts WITH Jesus in His will, benefiting all of humanity, from Adam to the last person on earth. It is very simple - requiring only our "Fiat", but difficult, because it requires relinquishing our own will in favor of His. It also requires attentiveness, putting all of our acts in the Divine Will in a morning offering, all through the day, and even in our sleep.

What Border Collie mentioned above about the consecration to the Blessed Mother is true - when we live this consecration, handing all of our prayers, penances and good works over to her, we begin to hand over our will. I believe this is the gateway to living in the Divine Will, and I believe the Blessed Mother desires all of her children to live this way.

The Cure of Ars said that the only thing we have to give to God is our will. It is the gift that makes us like Him, and nothing pleases Him more than when we hand it back to Him and ask to live only in His will.

Also, what Border Collie mentioned about the awesome nature of this way of life is true. Sin can't co-exist with the Divine Will, and Jesus "crowds it out". Sounds amazing, but it is happening to me more and more as I live it. As I focus more and more on placing my acts in the Divine Will and praying "rounds" (which is a way to receive Gods' gifts and glorify Him on behalf of every person, from the first to the last, making reparation for them and begging repentence, conversion and sanctification for them) my tendency to sin decreases, my peace increases and my discernment gets sharper.

This is the pearl of great price!

Thanks Kathy, I did the consecration to Jesus through Mary. I only came back to the sacraments last February though so maybe it is too soon for me to grasp this. The distinction seems too fine for me to understand. St. Francis said something like "We should be obedient like the dead. You can move them here or there and they will not complain." (Not an exact quote). This sounds somewhat like what you are talking about.

  6. Thanks kathy k, I have only been doing it a short time and have a lot to learn yet, but almost immediately after commencing I found my sinful tendency decreasing, my awareness of the Divine Will working in me much clearer when with people, discernment sharper, and a peace and joy I didn't have previously. I feel you've nailed it with " the pearl of great price!"

My conversion was on the feast of the Assumption, 1988. Ever since, I've loved reading about Saints and mystics. I ran across Luisa's writings many times, and not only didn't "get it", I felt a revulsion toward her and her teachings.

It was after I repeated the 33 day consecration to the Blessed Mother in 2013, and really lived it, that I re-discovered Luisa and it finally clicked.

I suggest that you ask the Blessed Mother to lead you to living in the Divine Will through her immaculate heart - it may take a while, but I think she wants this for all of her children.

    Border & Kathy -
I find this so true in my life also. The more I open myself up and make room for Jesus in my own "tabernacle" heart, the less sin prevails and the more peace settles in. I find myself recognizing sin in my life more often in my thoughts before I commit to it and find I take time to ponder decisions before reacting to circumstances to see if it is of God or of evil.
How to Live in His Divine Will
    (My Understanding and thoughts)

From the first moment a soul decides to embrace living in the Divine Will they must learn to forget themselves. Jesus says that there is only one way of achieving this, and that it must be practiced for the rest of your life.
    1. Love God - no fear in love; perfect love drives out fear; fear has to do with punishment; one who fears is not yet perfect in love. ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind….Matt.22 Live the Corporal and Spiritual works of Mercy.
    2. Love your Brother – If you do not love your brother/sister you cannot love God. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matt. 22
    3. Humble ourselves (I can do nothing without God who gives me everything)
    4. PRAY (from the heart) Mary asked us to pray the Rosary
    5. Live in sanctifying grace (go to confession often) Keep the commandments!
    6. Receive the Eucharist and follow the word of the Lord.
    7. Have faith and believe in God. Take up the cross and follow Jesus and do God’s works here on earth as it is done in Heaven.
    8. Obedience to God's Will. Your will should be in line and in unity with God’s Will. Desire It!

God will give us the undeserving grace and light of the Holy Spirit as the apostles received to walk in the light of God "here on earth as it is in Heaven"
The disciples asked----"Lord, teach us to pray,

[Luke 11: 1], He "said to them, when you pray, say, 'Our Father Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy Will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven
“Thy Kingdom Come; Thy Will be Done on Earth, as It is in Heaven!"
Where is His Kingdom? 1.HEAVEN 2. EARTH with all mankind 3. IN OUR OWN HEARTS OUR own space only for Him (TABERNACLE)
This doesn't ask that we do His Will in Heaven, rather that we do It now while on the earth, and DO IT AS IT IS DONE IN HEAVEN!

How do we do God’s Will? He finishes His Recipe for success!

Give us this day our daily bread:

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
    Matthew 6:25, 33
“But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides.” What would Jesus Do? My food is to do the will of God who sent me, and to fulfill his work to its depth.” John 4:32-34
Receive Jesus as the bread of Life. Receive Him in your heart and as the body, blood soul and divinity of the Eucharist.

And forgive us our trespasses, When we fall and when we fail ask for forgiveness and go to confession. Then find the right path again in life and go on with your life living the Eucharist!
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

as we forgive those who trespass against us.
If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him; and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him. Luke 17:3-4
Colossians 3:13 says we are called to forgive each other "as the Lord has forgiven [us]."

And lead us not into temptation,
Ask to not be caught up in the material pleasures and worldly ways. Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test.
but deliver us from evil. Amen

I was at a Divine Will conference several years ago with about 900 people in attendance, and the audience was asked how many people there had done the St. Louis deMontfort 33 day Consecration. Every persons hand went up! Before reading the writings of Luisa, we must have a great devotion to Our Blessed Mother. I can tell you that several people I know who did not make the Consecration have nothing good to say about the writings - in fact, they spread nasty rumors about them. We are very blessed to have been given the knowledge of the Divine Will and to accept it! Remain in His Will and God bless you.

Jesus Christ and his life on earth was consumed by the Will of his Eternal Father. Father’s Will above and over everything. A human will since He was a man and a Divine Will since He was God

In Psalms 39:8-9 - saying ‘yes’ to the Father’s Will at the beginning of his life: “Then said I, Behold I come. In the head of the book it is written of me that I should do thy will: 0 my God, I have desired it”

John 5:30: “I cannot do anything by myself, because I am not looking to do how I will, rather how the Father who sent me wills.”

John 4:32-34: “I have food that you do not know...My food is to do the will of God who sent me, and to fulfill his work to its depth.”

“Father, ..not my will be done but yours” (Lk 22:42).
His last words: When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.”And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit.(John 19:30)
What is finished or completed? Doing God's Will on Earth! Will we be able to say this at our own death?
    Mary:

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Masterpiece of the work of His Will in souls. Her Fiat (YES) : “Be it done to me according to Thy Word”. Virgin Mary at the Wedding at Cana tells us: “Do whatever He tells you,” meaning: ‘Listen to him!’ Mary as the Living tabernacle, veiling God, Jesus Christ, within her, and according to God’s Will brings Him to others.
"The salvation of the world began through Mary. God the Holy Spirit entrusted his wondrous gifts to Mary, his faithful spouse, and chose her as the dispenser of all he possesses, so that she distributes all his gifts and graces to whom she wills." St. Louis De Montfort

    JOSEPH:

Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, ”which means “God is with us. “When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.

(Josephs FIAT) not full of grace ,but in state of Sanctifying Grace

The BOLD is also what we are called to do!
the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt..

What does God will for us?
    * To be with him in Heaven and stay in His image and likeness
    Catholic Catechism:
C.C.51 "It pleased God, in his goodness and wisdom, to reveal himself and to make known the mystery of his will. His will was that men should have access to the Father, through Christ, the Word made flesh, in the Holy Spirit, and thus become sharers in the divine nature."

C.C. "To carry out the will of the Father Christ inaugurated the kingdom of heaven on earth."247 Now the Father's will is "to raise up men to share in his own divine life".248He does this by gathering men around his Son Jesus Christ. This gathering is the Church, "on earth the seed and the beginning of that kingdom."

    (St. Elizabeth Ann Seton)
The first end I propose in our daily work is to do the will of God; secondly, to do it in the manner he wills it; and thirdly to do it because it is his will.

Fidelity (faithfulness) in Christ is the key which opens the door to our Almighty Father’s Heart, as He is unable to resist the pleas and supplications of those who remain faithful to Him, especially when under duress. Love Him, therefore, above all else. Put His Will before yours and ask Him for the grace of perseverance to retain your spiritual integrity. He will give you this grace without fail, as it is His greatest desire that everyone lives in His Divine Will.

    DIVINE WILL OF GOD
Love: corporal and spiritual works of mercy:
    Corporal Works:
To feed the hungry; To give drink to the thirsty; To clothe the naked; To shelter the homeless; To visit the sick; To ransom the captive; To bury the dead
    Spiritual Works:
To instruct the ignorant; To counsel the doubtful; To admonish sinners; To bear wrongs patiently; To forgive offenses willingly; To comfort the afflicted; To pray for the living and the dead

He tells us what to do in following His Divine Will:
    1 John 4:7-21
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without love doesnot know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another. No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us. This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit. Moreover, we have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as savior of the world. Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.

In this is love brought to perfection among us, that we have confidence on the day of judgment because as he is, so are we in this world. (following Gods Divine Will – “…on earth as it is in heaven”) There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

    Jesus
Way – Truth – Life – Light of the World
He tells us what to do in following His Divine Will:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled
. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said to him, “Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.

    Holy Spirit
Advocate – Paraclete, intercessor, teacher, helper, comforter, giver & gift
He tells us what to do in following His Divine Will:
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always, the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it. But you know it, because it remains with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live and you will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father and you are in me and I in you. Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.” Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him, “Master, [then] what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus answered and said to him, “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me.“I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name—he will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. You heard me tell you, ‘I am going away and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you this before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me, but the world must know that I love the Father and that I do just as the Father has commanded me. Get up, let us go.

  19. You have indeed done a lot of research Ecclesiasticus 2, but I must admit I don't delve that deeply into it. The booklet and cds I have which explains it just says to desire The Divine Will to take over my will and that Jesus does all the work.
I have taken Him at his word, I desire to enter into Him, transform myself to Him and take what I find in him and offer it to the Father in His will. All by, with, in and for Mary. I like to keep things simple, like myself!:) but thanks again for the obvious effort you have put in.
