A majority of Northern Ireland Assembly members have voted in favour of same-sex marriage for the first time.

On looking at the graph provided in the link below it would suggest that not one elected catholic member voted against ...that leaves me bewildered o_Oo_O:mad::mad::mad:

No more votes for Sinn Fein or SDLP coming from from my family..

The slide into the abyss accelerates. While we pray for the conversion of souls to Jesus Christ, a day of judgment looms.

Eternal Father, we offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, of your dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. Amen!

Then soon all of Ireland will have voted against God, surely there will be a severe judgement. Have mercy on us dear Lord.

15 or 20 yrs ago I had an ongoing argument with a member of Sinn Fein. He revealed that they were pro-gay. I asked how can that be as they also profess to be united to Catholic ideals in their fight for Ireland. Turns out it's all a sham. Basically Sinn Fein is Marxism using whatever it can to promote it's agenda. If that means the trappings of Catholicism, so be it. From that time onward, Sinn Fein was persona non grata in my book.

The Unionists have blocked it so it cannot become law.

Sinn Fein are not in any way a Catholic party.
The objective of the Party is to rule over a 'United Ireland' using a Marxist - Lenin style government. They are utterly liberal in thinking. My late Father used to warn us about SF, Workers Party & similar, and this was nearly 25 years ago.

Seems to confirm that we Irish are unfit to govern ourselves and were better off under a colonial power. I never thought I'd say this.

    garabandal,

That may be so for now, but from what I can tell, it is more a procedural delay, rather than defeat. Right?

Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!

I have to add the SDLP to that list as well, I had a chat with both parties at my door when they came round looking for votes, in fairness the Sinn Fein member didn't even reply to me when I asked his parties stance on catholicism he just walked away, however the SDLP member was fully engaged and promised the sun moon and earth..

I guess the old saying is very true..
How do you know when a politician is lying ??? they open their mouth and speak

As far as I am aware it cannot become law so will not be enshrined in legislation.

    Thank God for the Unionists!!

But no doubt they will keep trying (this is the 5th attempt in the last couple of years it has been voted on).
